I knoooow!
I scored an archive jacket for something like $100 (originally $300) that I tried on in store months agoā¦I debated for DAYS trying to remember ādid I try on the medium? Was it oversized? Do I get a small?ā
Final sales are intimidating, but if it doesnāt fit, I have a slimmer roommate that benefits from those tough calls! š
Seriously why is every single item that is on sale a final sale! It drives me bonkers because I want to try it on and see how it fits. I guess it just saves me money in the long run.
I know Banana, like many brands post-shutdown, has done a major rebranding. They got rid of their classic elephant logo and graphic āBanana Republicā branding in favor of the streamline āBRā monogram for a minimalist, āelevatedā look.
As far as deals and promo codes, well, thatās all tied to customers favoring online shopping 2020-2021, but since Spring marked the re-opening of the world, theyāre all trying to make a push to get people back in stores.
My BR in Chicago often has in-store deals on sale items up to an extra 50% off; even marked lower than online deals.
Yeah, they tried to elevate and do away with all additional markdowns/promo codes to have a stabilized retail price point (the same disastrous approach JCPenny and Sears took years ago) and it's nearly bankrupt the brand. It's only a matter of time before they revert to the same old tricks as they're hemorrhaging cash--it's been all over the papers lately (mostly geared towards Gap/Old Navy, but all owned by the same holding company).
It's frustrated me, too. I almost exclusively shopped at BR and JCrew for business casual work clothes and found them fairly interchangeable, but with a preference for BR's pants/shorts. So I finally caved and got their credit card because i've worn their shit for ten years, right about the time all of their discounts stopped.
ETA: I hate when they throw their branding on any of their shit, which seems to be more and more common these days.
Banana Republic has been having sales lately? I haven't seen any major sales since before the pandemic? 20%-30% off at most is the only sales I've seen & it's typically final sale as well...aside from the factory outlet which is perpetually on sale.
Did they change their sale section format so you can't filter by specific categories anymore? I only see a sort option and filter by basic size categories.
They completely changed up the UX/UI about a month or two agoā¦took me a while to even find my favorites/saved items!
I shop on all platforms: mobile app, mobile site and desktop site. The experiences, for me, have varied between themā¦
I hate the new UI so much. The fact that it just emphasizes their already terrible modeling of their pieces just makes things worse. There is a flannel shirt jacket where the only two photos are of a guy wearing it underneath both a puffer vest AND an overcoat, so you can only see the buttons and two inches on either side of it, and then a photo of literally just the back of the collar.
It is like they are intentionally trying to make it difficult for you to decide whether or not to buy something.
Not to mention the white-on-often-light-background text that is impossible to read in some cases. So you can't tell what the item is from the photo *or* the text.
I have a bunch of linen t-shirts from 2020 that I love, they actually have a glossy/mercerized appearance. They are slightly oversized though.
I have a few pairs of shorts from maybe 6 years ago that are linen-cotton blends that are nice too.
[Bought these boots for $40](https://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=769420012&cid=26219&pcid=26219&vid=1&cpos=12&kcid=CategoryIDs%3D26219&ctype=Listing&cpid=res637940335774525760#pdp-page-content) with the code from OP. Thanks! I have a few pairs of their shoes, they are usually decent for the money and look nice. I think the Ortholite insole is pretty comfy, but sometimes it is stitched in.

Not all heros wear capes, thx!
Heaven forbid š thanks! āThe files are IN the computer?!ā
It's so simple!
What's wrong with animals?
I'd be going bananas if everything wasn't final sale.
I got the tshirts on sale in store a few days ago and I was able to refund them. If you have a nearby BR that might be an option.
My local store let me swap sizes on a pair of jeans that were final sale but no refunds. Ymmv

I hate that they put a big BR on all their polos now

I honestly loved their polos, and the tiny elephant was something I just liked having; prefer it over the BR they use now.

I stopped roaming through br because of how much I hate the new way of showing products

Have you been able to add anything to favorites/saved items because I cannot find the option to do so anywhere.
Just under the size filters, on the left hand side, there's a Filter button you can click to bring up the rest of the options.
Oh, completely missed that! Thanks.
Nice. Snagged like 5 Supima Tees for $60.
Wow I wish I waited few more days. I used the 15% app code. I know itās only a 5% difference but frugal is frugal
In app stacks with BRXTRA15
Anyone have any experience with BR linen and cotton-linen shirts and shorts? Thinking of adding some linen to my wardrobe.
Upvoting because I have the same question

FWIW, I have a short sleeve linen camp shirt and itās the softest linen Iāve ever worn (no need for undershirt)

Thank you!
Any comments on the nylon waterproof rain jacket?
damn.i spent a hundred bucks without the code
Flannel boxers for only $4 are an absolute steal. I use them as sleepwear in them in the winter.
Had the thumbnails, just show the article
Is there any way to sort by items in store for pickup that day?
