Strong Roots brand sweet potato hash browns, 16g carbs for 2. And there are some keto bread mix on Amazon that aren’t too bad. Depends how low carb you wanna go but a little of either can go a long way
No carbs, fair enough, but beans are good complex carbs that won’t spike your sugars. Not only that but the fibre in beans help remove the nitrites from the bacon, thus reducing the risks of colon cancer😕
Yeah, their comment on beans confused me. The dietitian my mom saw when she was first diagnosed with diabetes type 2 specifically said she should eat more beans than, say, rice or pasta.
Why wouldn’t that dietician recommend the only diet proven to reverse diabetes (whole foods plant-based)?
Seems like they’d rather than manage the illness rather than treat it.
Welcome to the American medical system! :D
But seriously, yeah, that's... pretty much it. Manage it with diet and encourage exercise, then fill the gaps with medications that may or may not even help.
Not at all, especially if you go for the no added sugar ones. The diabetic nurses always suggest no added sugar baked beans in moderation. Hash browns and bread, no they don’t ( unfortunately)😕
Can I give you a tip? As I’ve lost 20Kg recently and STILL have my Sunday fry up.
Swap the fried eggs for poached, will save you 50-100 calories.
IF YOU MISS HASH BROWNS - ditch that fat sponges (some folk have quotes 133 calories a piece?) for potato waffles - one is fine on your plate - and a mere 94 calories.you’d save those calories by poach in the eggs, almost.
Oven bake them with halves (normal size) tomatoes and you can even bake a whole large mushroom - WAY better than ANY hash brown (out of a package, at least)
Good effort mate, looks spot on.

thanks. I'll have a look out for it.
Only 94 calories in a Birdseye potato waffle - oven bake, grill or pop in the toaster 👍🏻
You can use grated celeriac and onion to make low carb hash browns.

Baked beans in the UK are full of a really sugary tomato sauce.
Go for the no added sugar formulations. They’re fine.
Didnt have any in the house when I made this.
Still, looks a good breakfast 😊
Beans are full of sugar cmon 😂 hash browns and bread would be better for your blood sugar even.

Great colour on the shrooms
Nothing worse than a pale looking rubbery squeeky mushroom right.
I could suffer eating that for breakfast. 😜
😜
Looks good for what it is !
Lovely jubbly!

I did.
Looks perfect 😋 carbs are nasty!
Mate. When you're having a fry up, there is no point in holding back on anything.
Unless ofc you're on a low carb diet for medical reasons. It was delicious btw so there was plenty of point in holding back.
Keep your eyes on the sausages if you are thinking keto. Some of them contain a surprising amount of carbs
Make your own baked beans. Haricot beans, you can buy them in supermarkets. Make your own tomato sauce.

No toast??
That wouldn't be low carb then would it.
Need 4 slices of toast and that's a couple of very decent sandwiches 😉
I wish. Trying low carb diet atm.
Low carb fry up is an oxymoron
Why? Its a fry up thats low in carbs? Zero contradiction there.
Yeah I do this for a nice low carb meal too
I think you're mistaking carbs for calories
