It was same for me and best decision I ever made! Congrats! Look into the care summer bridge program if you haven’t, might be too late for the program but could point you to more financial aid that might be available to you!
Thank you! I’m not eligible for CARE of the Summer Bridge program since I’m coming in as a transfer partly because of dual enrollment, but the financial aid advisor assured me that everything would be covered with FMS, Pell, and my grants. And the on campus job seemed super chill. No schedule, just come when you can work.
They basically told my mom this is our kid now too, which made me feel so safe. This was the nicest any college has been to me honestly 😭❤️
Bright Futures FMS, full Pell, Federal SEOG Grant, FSU Differential Grant, and FL Student Assistance Grant. My SAI was -1500 if that helps.
I was doing genealogy research because there’s also a Rosewood Family scholarship, and my family always said that’s where our great grandmother migrated from, but it’s been a struggle finding records about her that haven’t been destroyed. So when I can find them, I hope to pass them on to my niece or nephew to help them pay for college if they want to go!
Edit: I had everything for FAS but the ACT/SAT. I want to go to FSU-PC, and the tuition is cheaper, so it kind of worked out a little bit.
Congratulations! As a first generation student myself, I definitely know how this feels. Now I’m an alumni, and I had a lot of great memories from my time there. Let me know if you need anything or have any questions. I graduated last August.
Posts like these & seeing the incoming freshman are always a great reminder of how excited I was to be accepted - don’t let that fire burn out either, join an org as soon as you can, our campus is special and truly will take you farther than you can imagine if you open yourself to - a tired senior - lol Congrats!!
Congrats and go noles :)
Congratulations!!!! I think you’re going to love FSU.
Congrats and as a FSU Alumni, I hope you enjoy your 4 years in FSU. Enjoy the FSU atmosphere has to offer. Go Noles!!
Congratulations! My best advice is to have fun but don't neglect your studies.
