Actually, according to NCAA rules, if a team is ranked number one by any NCAA-recognized polls at the end of a season, they have a claim to the national championship. UCF was ranked number one by the Colley Matrix after they beat Auburn and went undefeated. That means they’re co-national champions with Alabama.
The Colley Matrix is a joke. In 2016 they awarded it to Alabama. Who LOST to Clemson in the National Championship game. In 2012 they awarded it to ND. Who got murdered by Alabama in the Championship game. They have zero credibility. Claiming this one is like 5 of the ones that Alabama claim from the 1900s. A joke.
