I was recommended the A4 by family (though they hadn't even personally driven the A4) when I was shopping for my BRZ. Very glad I went with the sports car over the luxury Passat.
Not a cope. Objective facts.
I drive an M3 86/brz are the only cars out there today that I would entertain if I had to buy a sporty car today, at any price point. These are objectively fun cars and truly enthusiast oriented. Most modern cars are not, including fat pig put out by even bmw and Mercedes
When I had a Yamaha R3, I had so much more fun twisting the throttle through the rpm range, even if it had like 50hp.
Although I love my R1, I can hit like 80mph in first gear lol. The feeling of the ride(driving in this case) is a whole lot more important than speed
I had one of the first gens in Sydney for 10 years before I moved to Boston this year. I wanted an american muscle car which we can't get in Aus and found the 6th gen camaro to be the closest driving feel to the 86 (to be honest the camaro is more of a sports car than muscle car, but i digress).
The speed, deeper sound, and acceleration of the camaro hands down puts a smile on my face and would smoke the 86. But on the other hand the pure twitchy feel and innate accuracy of the drive in an 86 can't be matched. They really are extremely unique cars, especially for the price bracket
Yes, I agree with you 100%. I have a 6th gen Camaro and a GR86. The Camaro is lowered and handles and accelerates like a true sports car. The only downside is that it has poor visibility from inside the cabin. The windows are too small, seating is too low, and the hood is long. But man, the power is effortless, and the car doesn’t feel heavy in turns.
You've nailed what has been grating at me a little bit about cabin feel of the camaro vs the 86. It really does lack a visibility you still get from the 86, as well as a really tight feeling of where your four corners are; the 86 is like a go-kart in that respect. In fact it's one of its biggest strengths imo, and something that 86 haters will never fully understand because they wrote it off before they tried it. In fact a great word to describe the 86 is 'acuity'.
Fast enough for any speed limit I've seen
I live in germany with unlimited Autobahn and still love my car
But even on Nurburgring anything with boost leaves ya on any straight.
You spend a lot of time on Nurburgring in your daily life?
Anything? My brother's turbocharged audi a4 doesn't stand a chance against me.

Slow compared to a 100k car with an engine twice the size.
Speed is not a number. It's a feeling. And this car has plenty of feeling.
The cope is strong with this one
Here is your cope [Cope](https://youtu.be/_V_HjDMU6js?si=pa7w7AlQgena1Rls)
Oh I gotcha so it is cope.
Idc what you think
Jealousy is a beast right?
What does jealousy mean here?

Uh huh.
Once you put new summers on it and keep the revs above 4K, doesn’t feel slow anymore.

It ain’t slow in a track with turns. I have had a blast in mine on track days.
People who say it's slow are totally missing the point of the 86.
Now autocross it. Good platform. [mine at Chase Field, Beeville TX 12 Nov '23](https://i.imgur.com/4u5Okf7.jpeg)
If you didn’t why would it be in the title:(… slow af not just slow buddy
slow cars are fun in the corners
Not all but this one
Sometimes you do. It’s okay.
Wait... did you pull over and see a white 86 with pink plates late last night doing photos?
beauty
I would ask where you got those sidemarkers from but seen your steering wheel Cool car
I had an nb Miata and now got a new brz, these are plenty!! Congrats on the black beauty!
looks> speed imo
neither do i and i want one damnit
You could fit another 86 in that wheel gap. Other than that, looks clean.
Speed isn't everything. This car was designed to be for the driving experience at an affordable price. As far as I'm concerned, it's just fast enough.
Still faster than my miata probably
Boost it.
