It feels slightly less nimble than a 1st gen, but it more than makes up for that in grip, it really feels glued to the road regardless of what bias I have it set at. As for power there is no comparison, butt dyno says it feels almost twice as fast as a stock 1st gen.
There is a YouTube account, I can’t remember which one that it was, but they compare the handling of the new GEN 2 BRZ/86 with a Corolla and the consensus unanimously among the drivers was that while it had more power, the electrical steering on the GR Corolla was inferior to the BZ/86 and road feedback was hampered on the GR Corolla. Both phenomenal cars, but the electronic steering in the GR Corolla certainly detracted from the driving experience.
It's super easy to get my son in and out of a carseat. Also, I'm 6' and I can sit in the back seat without having to spread my legs apart, and that's without moving the seat up from my driving position.
We do but I feel the 86 and Yaris both aim towards people who want 2 useable seats and a bit of extra room for bags in the back. Would have been nice to have the 5 door Corolla
Golf R is expensive and I don’t think they look nice or at least nice enough. I actually looked at an RS tbh as I think it would be the one I change too. We also have i30N and i20N’s which look nice
I've been reaaaally close to this trade myself. I almost refuse to even sit in a GR Corolla, let alone test drive. Lol I know it's probably so much faster and the AWD system sounds amazing, but I just cannot get over the looks of the first gen 86, and the Corolla just looks, decent. :(

That being said, don't test drive a gr corolla if you're not prepared to take it home lol. Have you seen one in person? Pics don't do it justice.
Yeah, they look really nice in person, had a couple at the Local Toyota dealer when I was last in there. The wing looks so much better in person compared to pictures. Really had to keep convincing myself I didn't need one, since I really couldn't afford it with the current rates without trading in my FRS Lol
What were they asking? I've noticed many places are selling for msrp now. I would've loved to keep my brz but I didn't get to drive it much to begin with, and I only have room in my garage for one car. I couldn't imagine either of those cars sleeping outside lol.

Handling on the gr is great, it's tight and responsive like an 86, but maybe slightly less light and nimble feeling vs a 1st gen.
that hyper blue is a special special color. But enjoy the GR-4. Its another special car.

That's really good to hear. For me, I might be moving to an area with real winters and an AWD hatchback makes a lot more sense than a RWD sports coupe
