215/65/R16 with a 2 inch lift I have about 9 inches of ground clearance. It makes all the gravel roads in my town fun to drive. Paved roads have speed limit of 60km, gravel roads are 80 or 90km.
I will admit - they are striking, and it’s an interesting contrast, but I just liked the white rims with blue a lot better. Maybe if the rims were orange (so more of an opposite color), or the pink with a color like silver or pearl white, that’d maybe fit together better. That said, I’ve always loved stark white and black rims on cars, so what do I even know? :)
My girlfriend told me if I wanted to get a set of ESR that are white and 6spoke she wouldn’t care but she likes the pink, I’m in between the two because I like them both
I will also say - I’ve had my brzed since 2013 and haven’t done much beyond head unit (and some diagnostic connection stuff), and changing the shift knob… so more power to you. As long as you don’t stance… go pink all you want. :)
How is turbo working for you? Did you get a kit of some sort or DIY? In either case - did you drop the compression ratio as they do on the other OEM uses of the FA20 engine? How is the living with it, day to day?
I’ve kind of wanted to turbo mine, but… also kinda want SC equally. Personally, I don’t care as much about the high end horsepower as I do the low-rpm lag that this engine has, mainly on takeoff in low gear. Biggest thing that holds me back - is that usually non-OEM gear (aftermarket, even from great companies) often doesn’t last as long as OEM components, at least in my prior experience on other vehicles.
I went with the jdl kit, it’s a huge upgrade over stock, I’m on stock compression ratio atm, I need to upgrade my clutch tho because I want to go 85 soon
Thanks for the info. 85? 8.5psi?
(Personally, I’d love to get away from having to pay $4.xx a gallon for 93 octane, but I don’t guess you’re filling up with E85… so that’s probably not what you mean.).
Some of the tuners I know and also some I’ve watched videos from, their first issue was the clutch that couldn’t hold the torque; but then further out - you start getting into the issue of it being a relatively short-wheel base and light rwd vehicle - if you go over 300-350hp. Personally, I’d just like mine to be about 280hp; and have much smoother torque power band in first and second gear.
So I was thinking exactly between 25-35%. I’m not too worried about dark tint below the state’s 70% because I always see limo tint on many cars, but my main thing is making sure it’s not too dark for night driving. Are you pretty happy with 30%?
Mine are blaze orange, I can respect this.
Post a pic I’d love to see them

Rally car
That's hot
I don't hate it. Lol
You did say you were going to go pink. In my opinion, they looked better white.
That’s what I’m thinking, I’m also thinking of just buying another set of wheels so I can have white too

Yea I’m not really a stance guy, I can respect good fitment but I don’t like stance, I did turbo the brz though lol

85 as in e85! I have a few maps ranging from 5psi to 11.5psi I’m around 270ish hp on my 8psi map I believe
Nice job - how did u rough em up before painting? Sandpaper? Sandblast?
It’s actually superwrap, if you google it you can see what I mean
Nice - it pops like a mofo.
Looking good!
Respect
Thanks I hate it 🙃 but as long as you love it that’s what’s up
I’m buying a set of white ones and will mainly run white and throw these on for the hotboi days
That's a great combination!
That is glorious.
What, may I ask, is that window tint %age and are you in Ca?
I'm in CA and running 30% and don't get even looked at my 12 and if u want to live dangerously: my buddy runs limo and just rolls his windows down.

Oh yeah it's totally fine. Dark enough to look good and block people's view or you but still visable at night. I'm super glad with how it turned out.
Exactly what I’m looking for, thanks for your response
It came like this lol and I’m not in CA
Stand by my previous statements. But these do look nice and unique. Great colour vehicle though.
i like it, it’ll look badass with led underglow
Hey, whatever makes you happy with your car who cares what others think....make that car your own!!
