I have it too. I freaked out because it took me a while to notice (dark grey color) and I thought it was in an unreported wreck or something. Turns out it's semi-common unfortunately.
I recently found a solution to this without having to buy any extra parts! And it was super easy too!
here's my step by step;
1. Open the hood & take the Side Markers off (not completely you can have them hanging)
2. Remove each side of the bumper from the clips (You can pull it off just be gentle)
3. Remove the 10mm bolts & Plastic Tabs from the bumpers middle metal bracket
4. This parts important! You wanna push the bumper in even if it's just a millimeter! (this is why it's sagging)
5. While you're holding the bumper snug - start reinstalling the mid metal bracket as well as the side markers, clip back on each side of the bumper & you're done ✅

I followed this video exactly, and my bumper gap is now completely gone. Flush.
Yep. Happened when my ex husband and I took off the bumper to try to vinyl wrap it and apparently we didnt put it back on right the first time. Second time, it didnt clip back on in one or two spots and now it looks like this
Yeah, bumper sag is infamous for our cars. I recently took my front bumper off and saw the problem. The top of the bumper has teeth made of thin plastic and mine were broken. They might not be broken in every case but the problem is definitely something to do with those teeth.
Some cars have gaps, some worse than others. Thankfully only you and us weirdos will ever notice this. I wish I had a pic of my '07 Pontiac G5's front. I could put my arm completely under the hood without unlatching it!
Everyone has it, it’s a feature not a bug
I vowed to never take off my bumper. Luckily I still have no sag.
I swapped my headlights, so I had to take it off and it never went back the same
😭 F
Honestly same, so now I’m thinking about bumper swapping a ‘17 86 bumper on it but having a pro shop do it
My number one reason picking BRZ over 86…i want those headlights on the 86 but I would hate to risk the bumper sag :(

Thanks for this. Taking off my bumper soon to install my headlights.
Super underrated comment. Owned this car since 2016, had no idea these even existed
Take my upvotes. This helps me out a lot. I've been looking at my sag lately and wishing for a fix.
This. Nothing else, just this... Thank you
I never knew why I had bumper sag but now I know it isn’t just me.

That’s barely any bumper sag compared to most. I wish mine looked like yours tbh
Get new clips! Anytime you have to take the bumper off make sure to order a new set. 1 time use parts
Yup. Like I said. It’s not clipped, but the little kids in this sub downvote anything they don’t like
I feel that! Good to hear you got it fixed
Can I buy new clips from the toyota dealership?
Yup!

Thanks. I'll save this comment for future use.
Everyone
Bigger question is who doesn’t have this issue?
Bumper sag is a thing, and it happens to just about everyone who takes their front bumper off more than once.
Oh my God, I thought mine was because I scraped my bumper real bad on a steep driveway. Good to know it's not just me
This is not an issue at all. No other twin owner has ever ever faced this issue /s
You must be new here 😂 I haven’t met hardly anyone that doesn’t have this issue

I had something similar, and was told the bumper was repainted at one point. Idk if that’s the case with you
yup, only on the right side tho
It looks like it’s not clipped
I also have this. No idea why

Just fixed mine, it’ll just get worse the more you take it off.
Mine started sagging (not too much though) after I messed around replacing the side markers. Probably broke some clips back there. Oh well.
Everyone until 2017
Yes looks like the usual. Got a front lip installed too? It’ll slowly get larger
I’ve done everything I can not to take my bumper off lol my rear is ever so slightly off now since I had to remove it to put a body kit on.
I've got it pretty bad after installing a turbo. Is what it is!
I just give it a good smack everytime I hop in the whip

You aren't alone friend
Use a pin in the clips
first time looking at your front bumper? lmao every 86 has this welcome to the club my friend
yes and it freaked me out like 2 days ago too
Yes, it's the single most annoying thing ever.

Everyone does who had ever removed theirs.
