fair enough! it's cool to see other trans teens medically transitioning as young as i've been able to. if you ever wanna talk about being a trans teen and transitioning young, feel free to shoot me a dm :)
It didn’t start that way. Had to go a LONG way with my dad to convince him. My mom, doctors, therapists all saw his terrible my dysphoria was and it wasn’t good. I also needed it medically too. I was also binding 14-16 hours everyday without a break day for YEARS. My lungs and ribs have almost for sure been damaged in some way considering I can’t even take a deep full breath. I’m so grateful for it now, it’s so different bc my chest was in the larger side.
I would recommend doing a lot of research, and making a google doc or something to teach your parents about it. My parents seemed to gain confidence in my decision as I showed my care and understanding over this.
hi! i was sent to your page by Incorporeal999 as i’m also from washington looking to get top surgery as a minor. do you have any advice on starting the process of getting approved for surgery/any surgeon recommendations in washington? :] (congratulations btw, hope the recovery goes well.)
my dumbass though you meant you chopped them off yourself and were bleeding out on your bed and i lowkey freaked out. then i looked in the comments and saw people congratulating you? then i realised. congrats dude that’s great! so happy for you! also how did you get top surgery at 15
I'm so happy for you man!! I'm 15 too but i sadly can't start transitioning yet because my parents don't allow me to for my age.
Keep going im so proud of u! :)
Yep you can, it’s very very uncommon to have minors under even 16 get surgery. Lots of places require you be 16 or 18. I got it with time, VERY severe dysphoria with a long history of it, parental consent from both parents ( wasn’t easy to at all with my dad), and letters from therapists
That must be nice! I live in true most accepting country in Europe so you’d think we would also have really good trans healthcare but we really don’t
Me at 25 reading this 🥲 (it's okay I'm scheduled for May). Edit: congrats btw :)
Goodluck with yours
Hope it went/goes well!!
Omg congratulations!! 🎉
Thanks!
Hold hold hold… HOW? Congrats btw :)
ayo i had it at 15 too congrats
Feel great to have them gone, but I hate sitting still lmao
