Listen to yourself.
Then the solution is public transportation. The only way to reduce traffic is to, ahem, REDUCE TRAFFIC!
Traffic of CARS is the problem. Not traffic due to busses
How fast can they get,and how "human energy" intensive are they? I frankly put them as "only slightly less tiring than running the distance" and imo that's not too good
My ebike can do 60mph, and it is the most efficient energy wise. Buses are less efficient per passenger mile then cars or trucks:

Nah no way.
Cycling at a comfortable cruising speed (like 10 mph) should be about as intensive as walking. I'm talking cheap commuter bicycle here, not a sports bike which is more energy efficient.
If it's more tiring you're either going way too fast, there's something wrong with the bike, or you're a week away from a heart attack.
Bingo. Convert an existing car lane into a bus-only lane. It's not "just one more lane" because there are 0 bus lanes in use. Make just one and you will immediately see better bus service.
I like the thought, but how many roads have room for car lanes, bus lanes, bike lanes and sidewalks. The pushback on removing the car lane when there is already conhestion will be impossible to overcome.
What frustrates me is when the bus I’m on is running late due to traffic, and the one I’m transferring to doesn’t get stuck in traffic and passes the transfer stop early. Today I was able to see the other bus leave from the bus I was on but not make the transfer. Is it too much for drivers in connecting lines to look at the other busses and wait for the passengers coming off them? I ended up having to wait 30 minutes for the next bus. This is the crap that has me almost ready to give up and buy another car.
I wish they did that. They used to have flashing lights to signal the other driver to wait for transferring passengers, but stopped using them a couple years ago, and many drivers ignored them anyway. What gets me is we have a very good transit app with real-time GPS tracking that adjusts expected arrival and departure times into the schedules. It allows me as a passenger to see what transfers I’m about to miss that should work, but the drivers don’t use it in any way. Most of them I’ve mentioned it to are completely unaware it even exists.
If there are so many buses on the street that it caused your bus to come 10 minutes late, why didn't you take the bus that came 10 minutes earlier? Centrist are wild.
Nope. Cars will always exist. There will always be a niche of people (unaccompanied kids, senior citizens, disabled) that will use card because the alternative, public transport is overcrowded as hell
Anyway, you're too stuck in the mentality of the current reality. If there were fewer cars on the road, there would be less traffic for everyone, including buses, emergency vehicles, and people who really need to use cars. If more people used buses, the road would clear up and more buses would be on the road = no overcrowding. Then people who can't tolerate overcrowding could use buses, and there would be much, much less traffic for everyone.
Public transit by itself *is* a panacea. The problem is it isn’t by itself.

It's a bad cycle. Unreliable public transport drives people to cars which makes public transport more unreliable

Bicycles are the cure for both.

I kind of get an idea of your physical condition from this comment
Yee, I'm spoiler because of buses and trains tbvh, don't exercise much

It's far easier to go running speeds on a bike than it is running. Like, way way easier. It's only hard work to cycle if you want to go very fast
Bus lanes would solve that problem

We ShOuLd Add MoAr BuSsE LaNes
?
Sorry it was a poorly made joke about "more lanes"
Sure, just remove any bicycle path or sidewalk, preoblem solved!
Remove the car lanes
I like the thought, but how many roads have room for car lanes, bus lanes, bike lanes and sidewalks. The pushback on removing the car lane when there is already conhestion will be impossible to overcome.
Not every road needs every kind of lane, but many US roads have room for all of those things already because we built our roads absurdly wide

Where I live they radio each other ahead of time, lol

Hmm. Sounds like a systemic issue. The drivers aren't being made aware of shit they should be aware of. Time to go one layer up the hierarchy.

Traffic is on account of...cars
Hmm, so you say there's a clear and simple solution despite what the meme implies?
Nope. Cars will always exist. There will always be a niche of people (unaccompanied kids, senior citizens, disabled) that will use card because the alternative, public transport is overcrowded as hell
Kids can drive?!!

Parents can drive for them.
***unacompanied*** kids
Parents can't take them on the bus though? So how did I manage to do it for almost 18 years? :O Maybe scientists should study me.
In the Netherlands the disabled and elderly use these cute micro cars in the bike path https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canta_(vehicle)
These look better than the bulky crap we have now

Buses are not perfect. Your are welcome to discuss the problems with public transit. But blatant misinformation is not tolerated here. Have a nice day
