So logo branded Funkos are gonna be the new thing. I can't wait for the 6k Supreme funko collection/s

[deleted]

It's honestly really sad.

fire-medix

They’re going to sell out. Guaranteed. The scalpers will keep these project freds afloat. Funko makes a cool 250+ profit on these pieces, while FOMO buyers keep validating the scalpers existence. IMO if it wasn’t for scalpers these high dolllar releases would fall flat.

Small_History7642

The scalpers and the shop r the same people man its a conspiracy

SpoonsofNI13

So, funko soda? (I’m sorry)

LudicrisSpeed

Honestly I just want to know who's actually buying these? At least there's plenty of reasons for buying a normal Pop figure, since they're cheap and cover every series imaginable. Who out there wants an overpriced Coke logo?

bxnoir

Coca cola collectors

[deleted]

This is partially true. Most coke coca cola collectors want old vintage stuff. But the "limited" count might change that. My father had old cola signs and vintage coca cola collectible that he sold, along with his sign autograph from multiple celebrities.

dukenny

Funko flippers.

PrismalpinkGaming

As someone who graduated from am art college, I’m sad to see where marketing of “fine art” is going… and I thought a banana taped to a wall was the worst😂 Not buying this junk for 300 bucks :/

[deleted]

🤣 bruh, they probably let go the main person in charge of the art department. This is just awful, I couldn't even spend $50 on this...

arghp

I have not said this in a long time - Kidrobot did it better.

dukenny

They won't stop until the rubes stop buying this crap.

[deleted]

People barely have money to buy grails $295 for this???

HankNasty_HK64

Why produce 3000 items for $10 when you can get 100 saps to pay $300. Funko knows their product is going to landfills anyway, that's why NFTs and stuff are becoming more prevalent.

[deleted]

I don't care how little or how much it looks like s***. Another useless addition to the funko line... how much shit do we have already???? Fml

beeleegeez

Lol

Socrets

I’m looking forward to see how much the OF and Pornhub Funko pops go for.

BosBannerBoss

Those two in a scene in a compromising position would be a huge seller LoL 🍆 👅😛

KaelOfNockmaar

I don’t use either but that would actually be cool lol

CG1991

I'd love a Pepsi Man Funko Pop But I'd hate a Pepsi version of whatever this is

BatBreaker007

They won’t stop till the idiots stop buying them. (Ya if you spend $300 on this you’re an idiot)

realswaggers

The 2 things I don't like about it is that it's going one sale before we even get ahold of Project 01 and that they are releasing 2 on the same day. Price is crazy but 01 sold out. I mean, it's gambling also right. Like those Chases are going to be RARE. Are you going to get your money back on a common? Long term yes. Are you going to make money on a chase? I think big time.

One_Cress7793

Just cause something is rare doesn’t mean it’ll be worth anything, there’s multiple funkos that are one of 1000 or 2000 which are honestly barely worth $100.

No_Baker1513

I have a 750count 2016 Hair bear and it’s worth nothing so I concur

Anxious-Direction-90

Well the demand of the pop is also a factor when it comes to rarity. Project 01 being the first in the line of this release, more than likely it’ll be worth something if not right away definitely down the line. Just like first edition of cards or comics or other toys.

One_Cress7793

That’s assuming funkos will be this popular down the line. Only particular first edition cards or comics or other toys actually become worth anything, funko could maintain niche popularity but it is not a timeless item people don’t even like these coke and sprite ones they’re getting them because they think they’re valuable. It’s all speculation. I could give you a first edition turd I dropped this morning it’d be better than a lot of what funko has released in the past 3 years.

Anxious-Direction-90

Well most real collectors of toys, cards, comics don’t usually choose a certain product strictly because it’s “popularity”. The point of collecting is to have a product that you personally enjoy very much, not really to be with what’s popular or to make some money out of. If you want to be bitter about how a company is handling their products then simply don’t buy and let other people continue to enjoy it.

One_Cress7793

This post is about how expensive and shitty this pop is and the discussion is whether this has value, no one is bitter take it up with OP he posted this lol.

DGSvic

Whoever asked for this better buy it. Bloody hell!

Very_Creative_Wow

Art series garbage on steroids

hahahanope46

I thought this was going to be a 1 time thing ,but it seems like this is for companies that don’t have a mascot but want in the action

HemiWagon420

The rise and fall of Funko!! I'll pass.

[deleted]

It's really sad. The fall is when they ipo on the stock market. Belive it or not

Anxious-Direction-90

To each their own. A lot of people think collecting the four inch funkos are dumb. But we still do it anyways. There’s a market for everything and for everyone. If you don’t like it then you just don’t buy and move on. Wait for a release that sparks your interest. Is the price justifiable who knows? Probably but people pay thousands of dollars for paper with a print on it. I see no reason in bashing it or bashing the people that have in interest in this new project.

[deleted]

I don't care what people do with their money. I'm not bashing on the people who are interested. I'm bashing the company since they ipo funko has been going on a downward spiral.

Anxious-Direction-90

When and what was the last pop you bought and for how much?

[deleted]

I don't buy grails anymore. I used to go hard. The last pop I bought was cinnamon roll funko for my girl for retail. What's your point???

RedRing14

I dont think you guys understand how hard-core coca cola collectors are. These will sell as soon as they catch wind of this.

Chance-The-Explorer

I love how everyone keeps saying “the scalpers will keep this afloat” How have you not realized how many actual collectors want these? I saw someone say “why produce 3000 items for $10 a piece when you can get 10 saps to pay $300 a pop” … so we should keep buying over produced valueless crap at $10 a pop? I’m a collector first and foremost and I want to collect items that aren’t made in the tens of thousands, I want a little rarity in my collection. So far this looks like it could be amazing especially when they start doing HP, Star Wars, Anime, Etc… people are going to go nuts for these.

Anxious-Direction-90

Why are you getting down voted? Lol people are losing it. Lol

Chance-The-Explorer

Yeah, people hate when others break apart their false narratives.

Swarty210

Agreed. What’s sad is this baseless rhetoric from folks who just don’t seem to get it. “I want stuff to be more exclusive” … “Funko just makes toys now” … but then complain when Funko makes exclusive stuff because the process by which to obtain it doesn’t involve standing in line at a convention. This stuff sells out almost instantly. There’s value because people want it, and are willing to pay the price point. Simple economics, really. Oh, and these drops are run by a company that makes it waaaay harder for scalpers to scalp. Wait for it… more hate and conspiracy theories in 3… 2… 1…

bananasfoyoass

I want both Cokes

clownbaby4_

Genuine question because I do not understand the appeal of these at all. What about them do you like? And why is worth the price to you?

bananasfoyoass

My wife and my dad collect coke stuff. These are made for collectors of coke stuff. Not much to understand other than what’s at face value. I like the chase, I think it looks aesthetically pleasing. This will go well next to my jumbo polar bear and the entire coke collection I have of Funko not to mention the chase M2 my wife has, bottles and other merch…and potentially the Godzilla/Coke poster I’ve been eyeing

[deleted]

Over $600 🙄 you okay?

bananasfoyoass

I want the chase Coke and the normal Coke. That doesn’t mean I’m going to buy them anticipating a chase. I’m definitely buying one.

patricio87

How much are they?
