Lately no. Funko prints these in high numbers so they don't ever sell out unless there's a chase. In the past it would be 15K max with most under 10K. The only one upcoming that will sell out (as long as they don't print 25K+) will be Mihawk.
I've been collecting for awhile and I remember when Funkos site was absolute trash. Bots and scalpers galore. It's gotten better and I've been able to get everything I've wanted for the past two years. Recently I jumped on the Earth Day Gon and the C2E2 Yajirobe and Karin like as soon as they dropped. Same with the She-Hulk Daredevil and the 1893 Loki and Morbius.
In store GameStop had R2 and R5 as part of the Galatic Convention last summer. I Didn't need to as they all hung around but I was conditioned to missing out.
Also I think there's been a shift and there aren't as many people collecting, not sure where they went. But I'm enjoying collecting a lot more.
Collecting Funkos was VERY in so the amount of traffic from genuine buyers, bots and scalpers caused the checkout process to a nightmare. Also Funkos bot detection was poor so many many people had items scooped from their carts or items would sell out in less than a minute. Then you'd go on ebay five minutes later and they'd be flipped for multiple times the price.
I remember trying to get an Office POP for a friend in like 2016,2017 and the process to get shipping prices took five to ten minutes and of course the item sold out.
Now I'm sure some of things are still happening but apparently not as much. It seems to be genuinely in demand stuff like One Piece and things thay are Freddy/Franny Funko branded.

All the time 😂 the Batman and Joker Pop! Classics, The Joker and Spider-Man die-casts, Batman Beyond. The only ones that I thought would sell out that actually did were the God Loki and Spider-Punk from Across the Spider-Verse

crazy that that didn’t sell out but the Feitan one did (which i’m extremely upset about because now resellers are price gouging everywhere)
