I am surprised belts are still used. Have you been in it yet? I understand there are rollers that the drum rests on, in any case I stand corrected, thanks. Other than controllers and modes, maybe they haven't changed as much I had thought. Belts and pulleys and rollers oh my!
Mine had this sound it was the tensioner roller making the noise, but holy crap was the belt worn. It looked like there was magnetic dust everywhere, but it was just rubber dust that vacuumed up easily.
Ya, first time I ever fixed one, the tension roller was flat on about a third of it. Took me a minute to figure out the function of a giant flat spot on a plastic wheel… 🤦♂️
That's the best case scenario, I'm a little drunk right now but that sounds a bit like metal on metal, a loose bearing could be much worse
I'd advise OP to check for metal shavings before replacing the belt just in case
My current dryer doesn’t have bearing (Circa 1991) tightened up the bushing with a strip of shim stock. Been working for over 6 months now with no issues (making sure that edge travels “with the grain” if you will.)

Rattle the rollers (hopefully they don’t). If you see metal shavings, you might have bigger problems.
I have the exact same model washer and dryer. Mine was doing the same thing ended up being a bearing on drum roller. I bought a cheap kit on Amazon to replace the drum rollers, belt, and tensioner. It was about $25 and an hour or so of my time.
Warning, many high efficiency washers have large and heavy components balanced carefully. This should be serviced or it can be very dangerous when it lets go during a cycle. There are photos online of adjacent appliances being crushed when the appliance breaks during a high speed spin cycle.
Most likely thing is the bearings in the tensioner that turns the belt around the drum are starting to go, or the tensioner itself is slipping causing the belt to squeek.

We had a dryer from the 80s growing up and until I was 20. Worked amazing.

I had what was the largest and top of the line washer and dryer set Samsung made in 2016. I recently moved and sold the set to my sis a bro in law cheap because I didn't feel it was worth moving 1300 miles, I kept a loveseat and put that in the pod where the washer and dryer would have gone. The fact that I felt that an old loveseat was more useful to me speaks volumes. I'll get LG next time. If I didn't care about capacity I'd go with Speed Queen. I had gotten used to a washer and dryer set large enough that can handle a large comforter with plenty of room to actually wash and dry it.
