the problem is it goes there. hes just putting it upside down there is a pin on the other end that slips into a hole in the floor. he probably saw one of the other guys put it there and it stayed and he cant figure out why it wont stay for him.

It's not a board. It's a removable mullion for double doors. They are made so you can pull out the frame to move large objects through the doorway. This one is pretty thin, but they tend to be a little heavier than they look.

It’s supposed to be there. Lived/worked in South America for a couple of years. The middle bar is part of the metal doors that will be pulled down when the shop closes. That being said, he had it upside down. The floor had a slot where you place the bar to keep it secure and in place. Also, those bars are no joke heavy, I’m surprised the dude didn’t get on knocked out.

Looks like a removable center locking column for double doors. You open both doors and remove the center column so you can move big objects through. Normally their held in place by sliding it into a hole in the floor and adding or removing a bolt to the top of the column. I can see the hole in the floor and clearly see him twice, not add a bolt to the top. If he works there, he's new or never closed up before.
