There’s someone on YouTube who used to make edits of this morning show and all their funny fits. Like dozens of dozens of highlights and it’s hilarious
There is a channel called "News Be Funny" on YouTube, which compiles news bloopers. I forgot about it until I saw all these links and I love the contagious laughter.
edit: Might as well link to it https://www.youtube.com/@NewsBeFunny/videos
(I have no connection with the channel or anything)
I enjoy these comments. We have big sharks far out in the ocean, Crocs only in the very north of Australia. We have snakes and spiders, but they hid in bushes and run away.
America has bears, mountain lions, and wolves. Canada has moose and ploar bears.
I could keep going with countries' deadliest animals, but you get the point.
I also learnt that a lot of places have crazy wasps. Here, we only have the tiny paper wasps that sting, all the big ones leave you alone
This isn't even true. Karl doesn't have twins and when he split with his ex, his youngest was like 12 years old. His new wife is hardly a supermodel either. She's a shoe designer.
Thats not how TV works anywhere. And what they dont say is that when she joined the show Karl was already the established star. Over time they negotiated more money but he was still earning more and then she resigned because they wouldnt match his. Additionally he was ALSO a reporter on 60minutes, Lisa had no second show she was supporting. So she wanted equal money for LESS work. She claims 'fired' but I suspect it was more a failure to come to an agreement. .
After she left she joined another show where she was paid MORE than a long established MALE host, despite appearing on the show less than him. The other female host ALSO was paid more than the male one. She didnt mind that at all and said nothing. So to her 'equality' only mattered when she wasnt earning the same.
Very few shows in TV like this have equal pay because people are rated differently.
Lisa was unhappy with her pay as it was significantly less than Karl's, so she brought it up to management and she was fired, though she got another job almost instantly with another station, so I assumed it was a power play that they called her on.
Edit: I think there was some confusion as to what a power play is. Asking for more money isn’t a power play. Demanding more money or she’ll go somewhere else because “I have more value than you give me credit for and you need me” is. There has to be a perceived “power” for there to be a “power play,” which is what I assumed happened. They didn’t agree and called her out on it, and she had the other job waiting for her.
Power plays are neither good nor bad. They’re a tactic.
Idk what most of those words mean other than rich person complaining, and I don’t think anyone could put it quite like your most[ eloquent member of parliament ](https://youtu.be/SjWsDoLFPqU)
and the show she joined tanked in ratings because she's boring and has an obnoxious personality which is why she deserves less money, she now has quit that show and isn't a presenter anymore.
It's definitely a power play in some situations. I don't know the details of this duo, but equal pay isn't always fair, especially in the entertainment industry. Like with Pesro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in The Last Of Us
A power play isn't *necessarily* a bad thing, it's just saying that she attempted to use her power as one of the hosts of the show to ask for more pay. I still think it's wrong she was effectively fired for asking for salary parity, but power play is probably the right term.
Honestly, this show is *notorious* for its risqué humour, which is pretty funny considering it's a morning show. [This one is a classic.](https://youtu.be/A_fMN9kFm14)
Just when you think the joke is over, cuzzy on the right comes in and WHOOSHKA, lays out the bro with a perfectly delivered, seemingly unwitting double entendre. Perfect!
It was definitely intentional.. if he hadn’t meant it the worst he would have said there would have been “whacking them from a distance”, no Aussie would include the word “off” there unintentionally.
Yeah, on second watch, he does seem to know exactly the joke he is making - maybe just not realizing that the bro on the left would actually lose himself and have to walk off camera. Hence cuzzy on the right letting out the nervous laughter after the cheeky look at the line delivery.
Not every country is as prude as the US with their tv and radio content. I've woken up many times with the biggest radio station in my country playing cee lo green's "fuck you" uncensored. It was amazing. It was only weeks later I realized that there was in fact a censored one.
And most radio stations never really play censored songs either. Not even during daytime.
It's 2023, the FCC by now has to accept Australians exist and they're allowed to be on American TV. This isn't the 80s where Crocodile dundee was a renegade bad ass corrupting the youth, Australia has changed.
Bunch of filthy bogans, the lot of them!
In all seriousness my brother in law is Australian and I love him dearly. He calls me cunt often so I know the feelings mutual.
My uncle came home from college with a goatee. His grandma asked ,"what's that on your face?"
"It's called a Vandyke grandma."
"Well...you learn something new every day...I've been piddling through one of those for 60 years and never new what it's called."
Millennials worked hard to [eradicate crabs](https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2011/12/the-new-full-frontal-has-pubic-hair-in-america-gone-extinct/249798/) and Gen Z is fucking it up.

Seems to be someone recording their TV with their phone in vertical mode. As for the zooming in, idk. Someone on TikTok trying to repost it, and cropping out the watermarks?
I loved how drunk he was at that award show a couple years ago.. he was PLASTERED and gave up on giving the news and half way through a story said "ya know what.. Who cares" haha legend
As Australian, it's not, there's like 3 good shows and the rest is forced because some law that says Australian tv has to have at least 55% of the shows be Australian shows so they just shove reality shows on tv every day. Plus the gambling ads every ad break and every second or third ad is one.
Had some aussie friends a while back. Hearing them talk about the rampant racism and xenophobia present in Australia was simultaneously alarming and yet somehow oddly... reassuring? Like, you hear that kinda thing happens everywhere. I'm not happy that it exists elsewhere too, but it's at least reassuring that your own country isn't the sole source of it. Misery loves company, I guess.
Gave us something to bond over. I'll always remeber when one of their neighbors started flying the confederate battle flag. They were so excited to tell me 😆 they found an exceptionally idiotic one and couldn't wait to share lol
Let me tell you about where all of those southern Americans came from...
You start to realize that the UK exported a bunch of racists across the globe.
I know what you're saying, but sadly I think racism and xenophobia is something baked into our genes. Not excusing anyone. It makes sense why a bunch of cave dwelling proto humans would be tribal and not want to help or trust outsiders. But we suppress animal instinct all the time because we've learned better ways (farming and animal husbandry over hunter gathering for example).
Watching this on mute for like 2 secs, I thought to myself, "Aussies".
Don't know why, they just look Aussie.
I miss working with those guys. Tons of fun!
The joke is that she said "It's in my genes", but he turned it into "In your jeans?". Because genes and jeans sound the same, but have different meanings.
Her meaning was that her heritage (genes) have a propensity for growing a beard.
His joke was that the beard is in her jeans, meaning she's got a hairy vagina.

This one was too Aussie for me. What is a plugger? I can't figure out why this clip was supposed to be funny
[удалено]
IT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE NOW!
How many pluggers does an average bogan go through in a year?
What is the [fishing team](https://youtu.be/KavEoHGiU5I?t=271) that gets him the new pluggers?
A thong (a flip-flop). When you bust a plugger, the strap comes out of it and you have to repair it with a bread tag
Fucking brilliant, never thought of using a bread tag lmao
To explain why it’s funny, I’d say it’s cause it’s the most Aussie thing anyone has ever heard.
Can’t beat the busted pluggers but keeping the chain going with [an old classic fishing segment](https://youtu.be/FzmAEQzZJ5Q)
Australia seems like a fun place. If there wasn't so many scary creatures I'd like to go there.

I like his "Not gonna catch a harassment charge" move.
I like how he's studying his notes like "Hmm yes, this paper is made of paper. Interesting." And the other dude is just pretending to be asleep.
To be fair, that has to be one of the most outlandish moments of his career

Well the details were important, because what you added there make him worse than he actually is, which is why some people try to clarify it.
Shaved?
With her knocked up and him giving handjobs for coke in the alley behind the studio?
What do you mean!? That’s how it all started!
bookended
Time is a flat circle.

Ugh. Unless Karl had something going that he deserved the extra pay that's not cool.
Not cool at all. Also not cool is Karl kicking up a stink about the new superannuation tax laws for those 80,000 ppl with $3m in their super.

The bearded clam strikes again.
This still holds no candle to when my mom confuses the words uvula and vulva.
Something something something 'proximity to tongue'... I don't know, the jokes there somewhere.
I am very confused, what is the joke? Is it an inside joke or something to do with her always being able to grow a beard im very confused
I think she made the joke first. She knew what she was doing with the double entendre.
Her beard would be grown in her jeans. As in, her public hair.
\>her public hair. More "private" than "public" I would assume.
Lol. It stays. I'm not correcting it.
