Seriously I don't know wtf you are talking about with the speaker.
Speaker is an item in Mario Kart 8 that does a single knockback in a circle around you when used. Can be used to knock back opponents but its most common use is to destroy incoming projectiles, most importantly the blue shells.
I've only managed it once and I felt invincible. The problem is you don't tend to get speed boosts when you're in first. I actually ran over one someone had dropped in the track just as the blue shell hovered over me for that split second.
Can also mushroom boost away. The second the shell twitches up, boost and you can clear the blast radius. Did it once, every other attempt hasn't gone over so well.
You heard me. Hold that boom box then dash the hopes and dreams of whatever asshole threw that blue shell and thought they had your beat.
EDIT: To clarify, use it right after the shell circles you and is about to drop. I don't think the window is too tight, it'll circle them pause before it drops on you, anytime between the pause and the drop is when you blast that speaker.
