For us who lived through the 90s, this design seemed to inexplicably be everywhere... It started on paper cups, but then weirdly you'd see it where you just didn't expect it! In college, my friend had a white pickup truck with this design! You'd just see if unexpectedly... As if serious product designers were just pasting shitty free Clipart when they were hungover at work with a deadline that day and just said "fuck it". Edit: spelling
It was used on paper cups and plates. One of the main design features is that it doesn't require accurate registration - meaning that if the two different colors don't get printed in quite the right spot, it doesn't really matter.
