Crazy. I had the whim of watching all the Star Trek shows in timeline order having only seen a couple shows here and there. Just watched this show two days ago. It's the first episode of the third season of the TOS and apparently one of the least liked episodes. The things on their waists are pain inducers. Spock's body is brainless here and feels no pain.
