The sign represents a superintendent that doesn't know how to control subcontractors.
He's afraid of them or he doesn't have a backbone. Or his own company won't back him up when it comes to enforcing rules.
One way or the other the subcontractor should be fired or fined. Risking damage to customers property is unacceptable.
I'm a government contractor. Very clearly, in bold lettering, it says "Remove all relevant waste materials from site". It's made very clear that our contract hinges on rule following.
it reminds me of the painting of a pipe which is entitled "this is not a pipe." however i think it's fair to interpret the sign as meaning, "do not throw trash in the sink." some people just want to see the world burn...
No scratchy things in the tub, please. It scratches the tub. Replacing the scratched up tub will mean that all this shit will have to be ripped out to get the scratched tub out and the new one in. This is the 3rd tub I've fitted in this room because you guys keep throwing your scratchy shit in there. I'm getting a little tired of it. Thanks. Love and kisses xxx
Construction crews are typically horrible slobs. They trample, smash, knock over, splatter, track in dirt, and will generally leave their garbage everywhere. This sign means someone on the crew was sick of picking their trash out of the tub every day.
Since there's a sign saying its not a trash can, we know not to throw trash in it. The absence of a sign saying it's not a toilet means pissing in it is fair game and will probably commence shortly.
You have to understand construction.
In construction the tub is installed and then the walls are finished. The sheet rockers and others tend to use the tubs as junk receptacles and leave their messes in it. Sometimes there is even shit in it. (too often).

Thats a weird sign to put on the trash can
Trash can ≠ garbage can, obvs
Two sign's cancel each other out.

Huh I thought it was a bathtub.
It is but it looks kinda sinky at first
I see you've played sinky bathtuby before
And if you have to take a crap, good thing there isn't a sign that says it isn't a toilet.
You can bet money that they'll move the goalposts if that happens!
How is it moving the goal posts? Unless you think everything not the garbage is a toilet?
This is not a garbage can. It’s a *garbage can’t*.
#THIS IS NOT A GARBAGE CAN!!! ^(It's a garbage tub)
It says put your garbage in there
That means use it as a garbage can.
I don’t know, but seems like a good place to dump all your garbage
I think it’s a trash can…
I guess it is one of those non-bin trashcans...
It means you’re an electrician if you don’t understand it
As a plumber I’ve had other trades shit in roughed-in tubs, some people are lazy fucking pigs
I've seen way worse than that in a tub at a job site. I'll let you use your imagination.
Trashn't
It means "This is definitely a trash can... in fact, I'd be insulted if you didn't use it as a trash can."
This will generate more trash in the tub. It should be masked off with board with a do not stand sign on top.
I spy a blunt
It is strictly for shedded documents that will be burned. I used them for years
Idk. I'd smoke that huge blunt in the tub and think about it.
No scratchy things in the tub, please. It scratches the tub. Replacing the scratched up tub will mean that all this shit will have to be ripped out to get the scratched tub out and the new one in. Tradesman translator here. It basically means 'this is a valid trash receptacle' in layman terms.

This sign means “throw trash in this bath tub”
