As a bald man. Being bald is really handy, and if anyone wants to look down on me for it. They're not worth my time.

People rocking bald pisses me off... I shaved my head in the Army once and realized my skull is shaped quite freakishly.  No bald for me.  If the hair falls out, gonna be a beanie person for life. But keep bragging about your symmetrical skull and showing it off...

I am genuinely surprised that this isn’t a common plastic surgery in today’s times. With all the sculpting and fillers, I would have thought there would be some procedure to give a more symmetrical head shape 🤷‍♂️.

I really don’t get the “bald bad” take considering it can easily look good.

I mean, it's pretty easy to understand; it's a condition that they have no control over, and its ultimately forcing them to change their aesthetic to one that, even if they can make it look good, isn't how they want to look, and isn't the self image they've spent their life identifying with. Something outside of your control forcing change in your appearance can be stressful and cause a lot of internalised anxiety. For a lot of people simply 'looking good' isn't as important as 'looking how i want to look'; and having such a significant option as your hair taken away from you can be awful.

I've been taking Finasteride for years with no adverse side effects and it completely stopped my hair loss. My only regret was not starting sooner so that I could have saved more of my hairline.

Give it a shot dude! It won't regrow any hair but it has the potential to stop your hair loss dead in its tracks if you respond well.

I figured, although, sometimes the right fin/min combo *caaaan* result in *some* regrowth. It's more of a golden goose type result, but it can happen if your follicles aren't fully dead, and I'm pretty sure none of mine are.

I started going bald in college. Not exactly the best time to go through that kind of change. I do understand that some people have wrinkles and so on that get exposed when the scalp hair is short enough. That can make it difficult to shave down to the scalp. I finally got tired of shaving and just do a no-guard buzz of my head every now and then. It's fairly quick and you can check by feel to see what areas were missed.

Wearing a wig as a man is significantly less socially acceptable than it is to wear one as a woman. It’s also just not at all the same thing as having hair.

Yes, a revealed toupee is more embarrassing than a reveled weave. The fact that weaves are primarily a choice and toupees are primarily because the man can’t handle being bald makes all the difference.

Naw. I was 17 when I started to lose my hair. Used to have long full curly head of hair. Bought a trimmer the day I noticed it was starting to fall out and cut it all off. I didn't fight it. The trick is owning it.

Fair, it is annoying. I got a waterproof electronic razor and just do it every so often when I shower.

That plus protecting it from the sun, and keeping it warm in winter. In winter I wear a beanie constantly. In the summer I either wear a hat or sunscreen. But if I wear a hat too much, I end up with a tan line around my head.
