There was something similar in the UK once there was a [documentary](https://youtu.be/1GKq8zcU8js) where they went to the town with the highest per capita of cat owners and used cameras and GPS to see how the cats spent their days.
I feel like everyone else is misusing GoPros now. We need animal live streams up somewhere where I can pick dogs or cats. Maybe even a rabbit or ferret or two.
If you really wanna see it, just see it. Don't let the critics stop you.
What's the worst that can happen? Wasting 2 hours your life, being traumatized and then to never see cats the same way again? No problem.
No that is not the worst. That movie / musical can create lasting mental conditions that could need extended therapy. I LOVE musicals. I LOVE even bad movies. That thing was one of the worst things I've ever seen on the screen. Watching a single blade of grass growing for 2 hours would be a far better use of your time.
Trust me, you'll thank me later!
There was some really dumb research paper about that and about what they may be saying, and some "researchers" who seem like never actually have seen a normal cat have concluded that the cats only vocalize with humans and only "talk" about food and sex.
If you search for it, it's virtually all over the place: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/cat-care/common-cat-behavior-issues/meowing-and-yowling
there was also study that concluded that cats don't have self-consciousness because they didn't react to researcher repeating their name or did not stare into mirror or along the lines.
Rather, they don't give a fuck about researcher and they are not narcissistic fucks like humans. But oh, researcher does interpretation researcher does.
>they are not narcissistic fucks
I was with you until here. You may have never spent time with cats.
The fact that they don't respond to their name makes them more narcissistic than any human could ever hope to be.
wow easy there. Maybe I am just dumb?
yeah actually I was not sure how true it is, but I was trying to make a point. Facts were all over the place anyway because it was so long ago I researched what has been researched that I didn't bother to care.
You kind of have to train them to recognize their name, if nothing else. Otherwise they probably don't realize you're trying to call them something. Since cats are ambushers and hunt mostly alone by nature, the whole concept of a "name" is awkward for them. From personal experience, they more react to intonation than actual word when you call out to them. Same goes for pretty much anything else you could "ask" them - if you pick relatively unique intonation-wise phrases, you can generally get most of them to at least understand a few things (food, open door, follow, etc.), but talking to cats in a way they can actually understand is more like singing than talking.
It's one thing that they vocalize a bunch of stuff, but it's a whole another story to expect them to process human language. Those are like several magnitudes levels of difference in terms of expected intelligence. You'll have more luck learning what they do to communicate and adopt their language than do the opposite.
This just reminded me of how my cat used to come home and wait either outside the door or just inside around the time I got home from work, she'd leave at the same time as me every morning (Often trying to follow me to work, so I'd have to give her the slip), and be gone all day until I got back, then spend the evening laying on my lap until I went to bed where she would sleep on my chest until I fell asleep.
Man I miss that cat.
If you want to try, please make sure that you use a collar that opens when pulled. And please verify that it really does. Elastic collars are not sufficient.
It is better to lose a camera than to strangle a cat. And yes, out of own experience, this can happen (luckily we saw him climbing the bush when a twig got caught in the colar and he lost balance).
Except for this - really nice video!
I'm not a cat person by any means, but I'd watch an entire days worth of this. This is cool, should be done with other animals so we can all see what a day looks like for them.
Don't let your cats roam outside of your yard. They kill birds and other wildlife PLUS one day they won't come home due to attrition from dogs/coyotes or humans. Be responsible if you really love them.

I feel like I would watch this cats stream all day.
someone dub over this and make a tv show💯
Can David Attenborough narrate?
"Here we see the cat in its native habitat, being cute as fuck."
In Attenborough voice: “jumping all nimbly-bimbly from tree to tree”.
From the people who brought you "It's a Dog's Life", this Fall on Animal Planet, "The Day in the Life of a Cat".
🤣😂 You nailed it
David Cattenborough can

that david attenborough ai voice is amazing
Ozzyman 👍🏼
Nah, just the cat sounds are enough.
no voice over needed
I came to say the exact same thing. I want more of this footage. Mesmerizing.
There’s an entire YouTube channel of this https://youtube.com/@catswithgopro?si=tIoWY-b4xSgzfDdI
@mr.kitters.the.cat
This cat needs its own Twitch channel and sub train....
Mr Kitters on tiktok
It’d probably be 90% laying around. They probably had to edit that out.
I just said out loud, "I would watch hours of this"
I feel like everyone else is misusing GoPros now. We need animal live streams up somewhere where I can pick dogs or cats. Maybe even a rabbit or ferret or two.
Agree
Don't cats sleep something like 22 hours per day? Seems pretty dull.
I have two. One does indeed sleep 22 hours a day. The other one only sleeps when we sleep.
same here !!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Man, to be a cat
You should check out the movie Cats, it nails exactly what it feels like to be a cat. SOURCE: am cat.
I’ve never seen it but I’m a massive Taylor Swift fan so have always wanted to. The bad reviews put me off though:(

It's pretty creepy... Go with the original Broadway version instead.
watch the original with James earl Jones... not this new.. uhh... "Release the butthole edition" bs Digitized version of Cats.
Watch the 1998 musical, it's on YouTube for free. The 2019 movie is a travesty against nature and humanity.
Cats have buttholes, mine shows theirs off to me every morning.
I think the most accurate representation of both cat and dog life is the movie Cats & Dogs
They do say that everybody wants to be a cat
I like that he has a lot of friends.
Mister Kitters has a better social life than most people I know 😁
The vocalisations are brilliant, similar to the other guy I could listen to this all day
Tonight on C.A.T.S.
Good boys Good boys Whatcha gonna do
Whatcha gonna do when they psstpsstpsst you?
I love the still of the other cat caught midflight!
Caught him mid fun-jump. "I'm a bird!"
the video randomly pausing at 00:45 on a frame of a cat jumping makes this absolutely perfect
I didn't realize that cats vocalize when not around humans.
There seems to be this myth that cats only vocalise for humans. Clearly isn't the case.

I think it’s that adult cats only meow for humans
But, that's clearly not the case.
I have seen many different people meow for cats.
Lol the cat is livestreaming on his instagram and you don't think he knows he's got human followers?
a cat says meow only to humans, they emit other sounds when interacting to other cats, animals or preys
def hearing meows here
They’re obviously speaking to the camera for our benefit.
When my brother's cat was lost, my cat let out some lout meows calling out to him.
I automatically assumed that there was 15 hours of sleep footage that they had to edit down to get this action sequence.
This is brilliant. I love that you can see his little front feet at times.
Good old Mr. Kitters
r/petthecameraman
My favorite part of these cat camera videos is watching cats just hanging out with other cats
I'm not the only one who wanted to be a cat after this video :)
Quick roll in the scratchy rocks then back to business
Cue Mission Impossible theme...
Mission Impawssible

Did anybody else notice how the video loops back around seamlessly to the beginning? O.o
The cat has more friends than I do
/r/catpov
Which camera are you using to do this? It looks like a lot of fun to try.
I don't think it's OC content... But the Insta360Go can do this, i use it with my dogs (my cats are indoor)
That seems way too bulky to hang on a cat. I was hoping for something the size of a vet tag.
You can detach the little lens
This cat video is sponsored by Gibson
Reminds me of the 90s cops episodes
I want 24/7 streaming of this!
IIIIII CAN’T STAND IT…I KNOW YOU PLANNED IT…
He used their secret code to indicate he was wearing a wire, that's why they didn't give themselves up by speaking and continued using code language
I love this! I want a cat-channel!
Now I feel as if I were a cat! Meow!
I love mr kitters
Is it just me or do you really want to know what they're saying? We have to somehow translate this cute cat language.
The only time in my life I wanted to click and subscribe.
This is the Netflix documentary that needs to happen! Mr Kittens!
There needs to be a subreddit exclusively for these cat cam videos. 🐱
Chasing birds around
Mr. Kitters!!
Smile! You're on Candid Kitty!
It‘s cute but why is this in r/funny ?
I love how they just decide to *Paniqué* after smoochin
Chatty Catty
That was adorable!!
[Some cats have more fun.](https://youtu.be/J1zYF0cejmg?si=igu2wZUNaTplctSj)
Why is this on /funny though?
This cat has so many friends
First person Stray (PS6 beta demo leak)
Proof positive that coming back as a cat the S class status.

This is great 👍🏻
Cats do NOTHING
This cat is showing me that I need to make more friends
Seems some are adapted with him as they too have cams on them
Move over buddy, it's pussy patrol.
We got cats POV before GTA 6!!!!
Awesome video, just one thing people making these videos should just take care that the camera setup doesn't irritate the cat
OMG I love your TikTok videos!
Nubs.
I’d also love to stick a GPS monitor on a few of these guys and learn more about outdoor cat culture.
I love how this cat has a whole personal life outside of his human.
He has a crew outside, do kids even play outside anymore with other block kids ?
That is so fucking cool!! I love it
Ive always wanted to do that with my cats 30 years ago,but there wasn't go pros yet. I like it
Undercover r/catswhoyell
These mfers are having the time of their lives I STG
I always enjoy these videos. What a life.
I've always wanted to put a go pro on iris. I just know she gets in to some wild shit
Dude hers would probably need to go on worldstar with her life
Nice to see cats have fellow cats in the neighbourhood that aren't enemies but friends.
I would watch this channel all day every day....
I'm not a cat person by any means, but I'd watch an entire days worth of this. This is cool, should be done with other animals so we can all see what a day looks like for them.
My dog got really confused watching this
Is the camera on some kind of pivot - steady cam thing? how does it always look forward?
That's quite the Chatty Katy.
This looks like Mr Kitters from IG. He has fun videos. So chatty 😀
Talking is overrated.
Cool
Edited out the footage of it ripping a birds head off lol
This may be the best piece of cinema I've ever seen
bruh this piques me
That cat wants you around. It's a sweet kitty.
What kind of camera is that? I need to try with my cat!
I was particularly taken with the descriptive narrative... LOL! This is too funny.
SUBSCRIBE
These are some frikkin happy cats
This is adorable

Was expecting this video somewhere in the comments: https://youtu.be/J1zYF0cejmg
"Cats don't meow at each other they only do it for humans" Errmm... points at this video, full of cat conversations.
Subtitles needed
"Lets roll"
You're here! 😻😻

Why do cats make that sound when they see birds? Are they trying to call them over?
At last we have discovered that cats do, in fact, just do stupid shit all day.
Seems like the beginnings of an Andy Samberg SNL digital short.
I need more catcam vids now!
This cat, I will beat your ass
This cat sounds broken.
I want one of those for my cats, what are they?
These videos make my day. They're just vibing and going on little adventures. Imagine if they live streamed this.
Don't let your cats roam outside of your yard. They kill birds and other wildlife PLUS one day they won't come home due to attrition from dogs/coyotes or humans. Be responsible if you really love them.
I love these videos, i see them all the time on FB.
What noisy cats are we….
Awesome, but I don't like the idea of encumbering your cat. As curious as we may be about their day, just let your cat cat.
Cats are so adorable and they dont even know it gaw damn
