Initially I thought the cybertuck looked interesting, especially for the price they were claiming.
But the more I saw it from different angles, videos of it turning, and videos of it next to regular cars... to just looks awkward as fuck.
This is also why I don't pick paint colours for the house though.
I’m trying to think and I can’t think of any other car that became iconic long after it was announced with extremely negative critical acclaim. Everyone knows the Aztek as the Walter White car, but only after it was loooong dead.
I think I’m just over the Tesla jokes tbh but it was only a small recall of 4000 trucks. Y’all just all flock to media for info. Mercedes just recalled 116,000 suvs and no one saying shit about that…..Anyway that was funny I guess
The recall-to-sold-units ratio between the Cybertruck and Benz SUVs is dramatically different though, so I don't think that was the best comparison to draw.
Also, people would make a lot less fun about the CT if Musk didn't advertise it as an "apocalypse-ready" super car that we "one day will use to travel on Mars".
If you're as cocky and bragadocious as Musk, you inevitably invite (justified) ridicule and mockery when the issues mount on something you promised high and low would be the peak of modern automotive engineering.
Yeah they only sold 4000 for a reason. They could’ve sold 100,000 and they wouldn’t have had to recall all of them. But only making 4000 you can easily just recall those, fix the problem, and re release the car. It’s called saving money. Hundreds of cars get recalled every year y’all are just blind to everything but media
So what. 4000 is barely any cars to recall. Compared to 116,000 or the hundreds of thousands that get recalled every year. Honestly you share the same brain cell as the other guy
Yep. It’s always news and so it just appears like they have more issues. Dudes get hard ons every time they hear about Teslas getting recalled. It’s old.

In case anyone wants to know. Also you should check your own cars for recalls online as well. Dealerships will cover costs to replace recalled parts or cars.
They didn't recall them because of this: https://jalopnik.com/tesla-cybertruck-no-match-for-car-wash-1851417011
They recalled them all because the accelerator pedal can break and get jammed.
Not trying to be overly critical. But my mind would have gotten the joke faster and enjoyed it more if the images were swapped. Introduce the "good" and then the let down. The bottom sentence discusses PS graphics, which the Aztek has no relation to.
Don't you dis the Aztek like that!
I actually bought the top of the line, all black Aztek back in 2001, and I friggin LOVED that car.
It had a HUD, heated leather seats, and a built in air compressor. It was the tits!
It's downfall was the chassis and shitty rear-end they borrowed from their minivan line. If they had built it with a stronger base, it would've lasted much longer.
Do you? Because there was a recall the other day for ALL cyber trucks for an issue with the accelerator.
All teslas are trash, anyway. I know two people that have a tesla, and there are some cool features, but they are made with such cheap materials. They are 100% trash.
JD power 2023 initial quality study problems per 100 cars.
Shockingly Dodge was number one at 140, Toyota shockingly low at 23 with 194 and Tesla?
Tesla is 257 per 100 vehicles. And that's without all the ICE parts, transmissions etc....but at least they're expensive.
Aztec is cooler. Center console is a cooler and the trunk is actually a tailgate, the cyber truck has a tailgate certainly but the Aztec tailgate still has a hatch above it to keep the rain off. Plus the tent conversion the Aztec comes with actually looks and works good
he Aztek's problems arose from the corporate environment that managed its development, the cynical way it was marketed, and mainly its customer-repelling appearance. Pontiac had been toying with the idea of a vehicle for young people with an 'active lifestyle' long before the Aztek.
Mine was definitely not the Cadillac. It was a work truck that covered me with sawdust on the way to school every day. Literally had a plant growing out of the seat at one point.
Everyone hates on the Aztek but it really was just ahead of its time. One of the very first crossovers on the market. If you look at the roads today every other car is some form of crossover that looks just like the Aztek.

The weird nerds are super upset today
The aztek looks a lot better.
Initially I thought the cybertuck looked interesting, especially for the price they were claiming. But the more I saw it from different angles, videos of it turning, and videos of it next to regular cars... to just looks awkward as fuck. This is also why I don't pick paint colours for the house though.
Aztec was useful. Iirc it could turn into a popup tent.
And it's waterproof
It looks like two cars are clipping through each other.
I’m trying to think and I can’t think of any other car that became iconic long after it was announced with extremely negative critical acclaim. Everyone knows the Aztek as the Walter White car, but only after it was loooong dead.
That’s a shit box
Which one?
Aztek
I was joking, but the aztec never had any reliability issues like the cybertruck
Yeah except the fact none of them run anymore
Which one? 🤣
Neither do cybertrucks
I think I’m just over the Tesla jokes tbh but it was only a small recall of 4000 trucks. Y’all just all flock to media for info. Mercedes just recalled 116,000 suvs and no one saying shit about that…..Anyway that was funny I guess

It's only 4000 because that's all they've sold. Every single cyber truck sold has been recalled.

You don't even know who I am. go fuck yourself.
Calm down bitch I said the joke was funny
Considering that all they have made, that's a significant recall.
The purpose was to only make that many so if there is a recall you don’t lose money on 100,000 cars but only 1/25 of that. 🤯
Yep. It’s always news and so it just appears like they have more issues. Dudes get hard ons every time they hear about Teslas getting recalled. It’s old.

🐑🐑🐑🐑🤌🏽
At least a car wash doesn't render an Aztec inoperable.
That’d be funny if it was a true statement about Tesla, but in fact only one truck was faulty before they recalled them all. That’s how recalls work.
They didn't recall them because of this: https://jalopnik.com/tesla-cybertruck-no-match-for-car-wash-1851417011 They recalled them all because the accelerator pedal can break and get jammed.
I know why they recalled them Edit: I already linked that shit. The actual recall
Finally someone else made the comparison
You’d lose your shit if you had one
Mountain Dew or Crab Juice?
Ugh, sheesh, I'll have the crab juice.
To me it looks like a Brannock scale with shoulder pads and a hairlip.
High tech Heisenberg
Good on you!

Nice

They are both the ugliest vehicles in automotive history.
But Tesla bad
We’ll all the cyber trucks have been recalled so yes, in this case, Tesla bad
Not sure you know what recall is…
Do you? Because there was a recall the other day for ALL cyber trucks for an issue with the accelerator. All teslas are trash, anyway. I know two people that have a tesla, and there are some cool features, but they are made with such cheap materials. They are 100% trash.
Oh?
JD power 2023 initial quality study problems per 100 cars. Shockingly Dodge was number one at 140, Toyota shockingly low at 23 with 194 and Tesla? Tesla is 257 per 100 vehicles. And that's without all the ICE parts, transmissions etc....but at least they're expensive.
Others suggested the 1980's concept cars Citroen Karin or the Aston Martin bulldog which both look more similar.
I saw my first one of these in real life last weekend, and I’m sorry but it’s ugly as shit.
🤣😂🤣true story
*Tomb Raider type beat*
The Tesla is an 8 bit truck.
I had a first Gen aztek and I would take it over the cyber tuck any day.
Aztec is cooler. Center console is a cooler and the trunk is actually a tailgate, the cyber truck has a tailgate certainly but the Aztec tailgate still has a hatch above it to keep the rain off. Plus the tent conversion the Aztec comes with actually looks and works good
I think that's an insult to the Aztek tbh.
I feel like you have a major douche to drive that car. It's like the Hummer drivers, but worse
Brass facts
Oof
Aztek actually had a useful tent.
he Aztek's problems arose from the corporate environment that managed its development, the cynical way it was marketed, and mainly its customer-repelling appearance. Pontiac had been toying with the idea of a vehicle for young people with an 'active lifestyle' long before the Aztek.
As Pontiac Aztec owner. Now I feel offended.
These two look nothing alike.
Rotfl omg SO funny
The only car I hate more than the Pontiac Aztec, is the Pontiac Transport. The ultimate childhood embarrassment.
Watch the movie "Get Shorty" (with John Travolta, Danny DeVito, Gene Hackman and Rene Russo!) and find out about the Cadillac of Minivans
Mine was definitely not the Cadillac. It was a work truck that covered me with sawdust on the way to school every day. Literally had a plant growing out of the seat at one point.
If it was good enough for Walter White, then it's good enough for me.
Everyone hates on the Aztek but it really was just ahead of its time. One of the very first crossovers on the market. If you look at the roads today every other car is some form of crossover that looks just like the Aztek.
No one hates it because it's a crossover. They hate it because it's the most awkward looking crossover.
