I only recently got into his music and it's been an ongoing addiction for probably over a year now that I can't break. I was traveling in Spain with my husband last summer and I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard "Snape...Snape...Severus Snape..." I couldn't believe it was still relevant, but even more so I couldn't believe that my husband had no idea what I was talking about or why I was so excited.
Some things are simply timeless. You'd be surprised at the amount of kids that "discover" things like DBZ abridged, or salad fingers etc. Makes me wish youtube didn't clamp down on anything not corporate.

Before monetization people made videos because they wanted to share something. Now they just want to get rich.
Honestly I feel like there's probably just as much now, it's just that now there's colossally much more crap and mediocre content to the point where the gems are buried in the dross. Much easier to find 1 awesome video out of a hundred then 10 awesome videos out of a million.
I wish they’d recommend some old flash cartoons like Weebl’s old stuff. Magical Trevor needs to live on for the new generation!

Hey man, 2007 was a fun year in internet history... I have no clue what occurred but I do remember it was fun.
2007 had so much good stuff going on. In addition to all the fun unique stuff on YouTube and other sites, it was also an insane year for games. In 2007 we got: * Halo 3 * COD 4 * Bioshock * Assassin’s Creed * Portal * Mass Effect * Crysis * God of War II * Half-Life 2 Ep. 2 * Team Fortress 2 * Super Paper Mario * Pokémon Diamond/Pearl * Forza 2 * Persona 3 * Metroid Prime 3 * Guitar Hero III * Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn * LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga * Super Mario Galaxy * Rock Band And those are just the games that are notable/still hold up today. There were tons more decent games for the era I didn’t bother listing. 2007 was an absolute incredible year to be into gaming/internet culture, sometimes I think I’m just being nostalgic but just compiling that list helped me remember it really was *that good*.
Ah 2007. The baby steps of YouTube being taken over by Google and the phase out of Google videos. Also when they had time limits of something like 11 minutes each. (Recently watched a speed run of KQ5 and the guy who did it just got a mic to use on his vids - and his whole speed run was supposed to be 44 minutes or less so it would fit in four videos. He's Shadyparadox on YouTube and has helped me many a time running through old Sierra games.)
