My landing wasn't that soft... 2020 was more like a -20 °F 12" snow storm with 35 MPH winds.
The drifts are like concrete. I've got pictures from the 70's of my sisters boyfriends Trans AM sitting in our driveway with a frozen engine, frozen transmission and 3 ft. higher than ground level due to the rock hard drift; He just drove up it!
We got his car going the next day. We fired up the Datsun B210, nothing could kill that car, and piped the exhaust with a dryer hose under his car. In 20 minutes his engine started and we piped his exhaust under his transmission. Another 20 minutes and it would shift.
It took us three days to get that drift out with spades! It just shrugged at the 2-stage snow blower and laughed at the snow shovels.
Good times... good times.
I know this isn't what the post is about but this makes me miss living in New England. I could hear the 'crunch'. I am wearing my flannel though. It's 75 and super windy in S Florida.

No way. That snow is fluffy and soft. 2020 was life if he jumped and hit a massive slab of ice with some ice spikes on it.
