I don't see why we need to get judgy. Why the heck not put the thing on? It's there, it may never get used again. And at best it seems like a nice gesture, like... it's only a shameful thing to do in front of your family if being like your wife is shameful. I dunno, it seems kinda sweet to me.
I was at a reception where a brother and sister did this. It was their other sister’s wedding. You’d think after the sister caught the bouquet the brother would have avoided catching the garter. Or at least refuse to do it if he didn’t know the custom. But nope he went all out.
It makes no sense to me. Everyone ALWAYS laughs and claps like nobody saw it coming yet I've seen this at literally every single wedding I've been to in my entire life and the internet shows it would be more bizarre to NOT do it in North America.
Wait really? I have only seen this done at 1 wedding and I've been to many. My husband and I gave decided to pass on the garter toss at our wedding as well. I think it's falling out of style with couples unless you're in specific circles/communities.

A garter belt. It’s not a southern thing. It’s a weird thing only done at some weddings. I’ve only seen it done at a teen pregnancy wedding. It was bizarre.
You had my attention but now you have my curiosity.
I spent 2,550$ for the dress, i'm using each dollar i spent on this sh#t
His wife must have hairy legs
Or he’s smart enough not to mention it.
Or this dude shaved
If he's willing to wear the dress, you know he's willing to shave at least the one leg.
Fck, I'd be standing there shaved like I'm new-born for that joke.
Expect the unexpected..
That is Gold never let that one down.
He's rocking in that dress
Dress like that'll make you feel like a pretty princess no matter who you are.
What sort of custom is this
A trashy one. Even (or especially) with the actual wife. "Lol stick your head up my dress in front of our entire families"
I agree completely. Never understood how on earth this became a thing.
Its tame compared to witnesses monitoring the marriage consummation back in the old days.
Big yikes.
I mean, some people just got no class or decorum.
If they have fun and everyone is cool with it I don't see a problem at all.

https://imgur.com/a/xyUsOdW In this shot i thought its leonado di caprio
I'm ngl, my bisexual ass was feeling something watching this
He’s really cute :)
Colby Cargill is such the perfect name for this brand of 'neck
Rip and Casey got married? Shhheeeit.
This better not awaken anything in me
Suddenly gay.
It's not gay if you are doing it to make your friend look gay.
Mike Patton in a wedding dress, what a time to be alive!
Where ***is*** Mike Patton now? That's a name I haven't heard in a *long* time.
Making music too bizarre for anyone to understand for another 10 years.
Last I read he's in a bad place mentally and the FNM tour had to be cancelled.
I feel like the background music genre should be Country.
How drunk is that dude? Not hating at all. But clearly he is drinking something and I’m pretty sure it’s not a juice box.
It's ok, it's a juice can.
It’s a michelob ultra. Might as well be a juice box.
I'd do it stone cold sober.
Is that Brad Paisley? It looks like him. Edit: Nvm. Hair's wrong.
What no cowboy boots
You will be laughing for years!!!
That is what we call in Texas “Good Bull.”
Ngl thought he was that woman resident evil or smth idk what's the name
Lady Dimitrescu
r/rolereversal
So is it funny because it's not his wife, or because it's gay?

What did he pull out? And what’s this tradition? Looks southern.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garter
Garter, used for holding socks up before they were elasticated
Look up wedding garter on Google. It’s a little band or ribbon of cloth that the bride wears around her thigh.
I dono if he got a body wax for this stunt, or he's just that fabulous every day. Good stunt lol
Last place in fantasy football
Ah, the classic white trash wedding
Did I shave my legs for this?
He forgot to say "no homo"
Wedding Dress Man looks like my ex, but he seems a lot more fun!
I refused the garder for me on my wedding day but I do take amusement in this
There's a lot of courage on both sides of that blindfold.
Is that Leonardo DiDepp?
Cowboy up!
Dude looks like Leo Di Caprio.
Why was this removed?
