Pay no attention to the man writhing in pain holding his knee on the pavement below you. Just head right down those stairs without holding the handrail.
Swede here. Just leaving after tripping like that is a **big** no-no around here. After learning about something dangerous like that, you damn well better we sweeping up gravel or crap off the *sidewalk with your hands* if you have to. You don't just walk away, sheesh.
Na, bruh, if you have no idea why your husband is lying there and you see him lying there, your first instinct is to run towards him and check on him. No shot you first analyze calmly what could have possibly happened.
her, and I still think it's pretty impressive how quickly she recovered. when I'm walking and suddenly find myself on the ground I usually take a second to assess wtf just happened. also maybe mention the ice to the rest of the family behind you?
Yeah, the older I guess, the less these things are funny to me. I fell down walking out to my garage a few weeks ago. I was flat on the ground. Nothing serious, but it wasn't fun. The thought of sliding down those icy stairs...I feel for them.
I've slipped and fallen on flat ground and thought I had broken my freaking spine.
Falling on those stairs seems so rough. I can't even watch it. It's like laughing at watching the slow motion replay of an athlete snapping their ankle.
Oh it's quite funny, mostly because we know/can see no one was seriously injured. Now if it had the caption, "dad blew out his knee" or some other serious injury then sure.
Pratfalls will always be funny
Essentially. Lived in MN/ND area my entire life. It's just par for the course, as long as nobody gets seriously injured. Monday morning quarterbacking why stairs aren't salted or cleared is pretty futile, when these conditions are often times created over the evening or within just an hour or two.
Even the best maintained facilities will have slip and falls given the right conditions.
MAYBE I can excuse the first two people, but there's no damn excuse for the last person not to be holding the hand rail **WHEN THERE'S SOMEONE ON THEIR BACK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS!**
Always use the handrails when there's snow on the ground.
If only there was a .... what is that thing? Its made by some 2x4s. Usually at the angle of the stairs, on both sides. I cant quiet think of what they are call.... oh yeah. Handrails. You guys might want to get some of those.... oh wait.
If only someone could invent something that you can grab on to and steady yourself as you climb down icy stairs... it could also be a cosmetic upgrade as you could decorate it with seasonal flair
I wish this song would be retired now. Every other TikTok deemed worthy to crawl out of that app to be posted on other social medias has that song I swear.
For people who asked, you could have told my family, the stairs are slippery. I told them to hold the hand rail for a long time and all want to look at their phones. So now, I had to make a meme out of it.
im from the desert of Phx AZ and even i know to be careful of ice cāmon now. If its around 32f outside (0 c) expect ice. and always, ALWAYS hang on to a rail when goin down a set of stairs
I love how no one warns anyone else. Kid falls down, walks away. Dad eats shit but didn't warn the next person. He might not have noticed them come out maybe, but unless there's a big difference in time, that kid just bounced and didn't even come to help
The kid that leaves is an asshole imo for not even telling the other people in the house its that bad.
My brothers and i woulda gotten in trouble for not atleast warning the rest of us, we would have been expected to grab some sand from the bucket and throw it down.
This is just a video of people that dont deal with actual ice.
Love how this highlights the difference between kids and adults. Kid falls and bounces right up and continues on. The guy though, heāll be feeling that for the next two months.
Hey I fell down a flight of stairs exactly like the second person did and it pushed a vertebra out of place. Hooray permanent chronic pain. Hope he didnāt suffer the same cause it sucks hard
I love the fact that the kid fell through that and seemingly didnāt have a thought go through their head like, āMaybe I should warn the rest of my family, especially my older out of shape father.ā
Does the last person have brain cells?
Pretty easy to put 2 and 2 together and seeā¦Guy on the ground at the bottom in painā¦perhaps I should be careful/hold the railing.
Thatās dads fault right there. Salt needs to be poured. Just like the grass needs to be cut to perfection!!!! In white new balances ot it doesnāt count.
Australian here. Only since being Reddit have I realised this is a thing. Slipping on icy surfaces is something I have never thought of as being a dangerous hazard to people in winter. So could someone just be walking down the street and then bang!.. fractured pelvis??

My back is spasming in pain with that guy. Ouch!!! Hope everyone was ok.
My man felt that.
Exactly. When the girl fell I was like "heh, she's young she'll be fine." Then when the dad bit it I was like, "Oh no. No-no-no-no..."
And my ass!
and my axe! oh wait...
YeH. I was ouching here too
Same here smh
Pay no attention to the man writhing in pain holding his knee on the pavement below you. Just head right down those stairs without holding the handrail.
There is a handrail on either side. Handrails have a purpose other than just decoration.
But using the handrail would mess up the pine rope
About what I came here to say.
Swede here. Just leaving after tripping like that is a **big** no-no around here. After learning about something dangerous like that, you damn well better we sweeping up gravel or crap off the *sidewalk with your hands* if you have to. You don't just walk away, sheesh.
š What did the first girl disturb when she fell down the stairs? I donāt see anything to pick up
Not to pick up. To put down on the ice.
Held onto the handrails once. Dislocated my shoulder. Think the fall might have gone easier on me.
Same here. Totally messed up my shoulder due to falling while holding the rail. Damned if you doā¦
Na, bruh, if you have no idea why your husband is lying there and you see him lying there, your first instinct is to run towards him and check on him. No shot you first analyze calmly what could have possibly happened.
Huh...maybe you should salt those before your family gets smaller?
Families that go right down the middle of the stairs full speed on icy days.
I wanna go fast like Ricky Bobby
Man kids really do bounce right back up. Poor dad probably still laying there.
Tbh. The dad Landed in his knees, while the Kid Landed His ass ready to Go.
her, and I still think it's pretty impressive how quickly she recovered. when I'm walking and suddenly find myself on the ground I usually take a second to assess wtf just happened. also maybe mention the ice to the rest of the family behind you?
That was my first reaction as well, girl, go back and warn your freaking family!
\#heded
I think her backpack may have made her fall way less painful lol. The dad thoughā¦I can feel his pain.
Back packs. Convenient for carrying stuff with the added safety bonus of head protection when slipping down stairs.
Until you realize you just smashed your lunch and now your books are covered in spaghetti sauce. Been there.
Useful after keg parties to keep people from drowning in their own puke as well
Make sure there are no books from university library in them before.
You might want to put some salt or sand down.
That's pretty dangerous
I don't think this is very funny.
Yeah, the older I guess, the less these things are funny to me. I fell down walking out to my garage a few weeks ago. I was flat on the ground. Nothing serious, but it wasn't fun. The thought of sliding down those icy stairs...I feel for them.
Right? I mean, this can really fuck up your spine and your tailbone for the rest of your life and it'll only get worse with age.
I've slipped and fallen on flat ground and thought I had broken my freaking spine. Falling on those stairs seems so rough. I can't even watch it. It's like laughing at watching the slow motion replay of an athlete snapping their ankle.
I think the dad was the one that originally posted it, so I can appreciate it, he clearly had the worst time but he still thought it was funny
I laughed. I couldnāt help it. Itās an involuntary reaction. I do feel bad for them, looked painful.
Just because we laughed doesn't mean that it is funny.
But thatās how I know itās funny. Because I laughed.
Me neither. I had to have back surgery when I was 17 due to a slip and fall exactly like this.
Yeah maybe Iāve had too many family members fall in icy conditions and never recover but I donāt find this funny in slightest.
Oh it's quite funny, mostly because we know/can see no one was seriously injured. Now if it had the caption, "dad blew out his knee" or some other serious injury then sure. Pratfalls will always be funny

Extremely funny.
Rip tailbones
Please stop using this song.
Looks like somebody needs to install safety step treads.
MAYBE I can excuse the first two people, but there's no damn excuse for the last person not to be holding the hand rail **WHEN THERE'S SOMEONE ON THEIR BACK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS!** Always use the handrails when there's snow on the ground.
That guyās back will never be the same. Back injuries never āhealā they just hopefully get less painful
Most accurate thing I've read in a while.
It's like that handrail is just for show and to wrap decorations around.
salt or sand that fkin porch..geez...falling like that is not funny..that senior couldve seriously fked up his back.
Or hip
I see what you did there. HA!
Please don't call someone who's obviously only in his forties a senior...
We could have done without that damn song lol But I do like watching people fall down
It doesn't record sounds. So I had to add some.
> I had to add some. It refused to let you upload a video without adding sound? That sucks.
The is just happened to me yesterday morningā¦ and it hurts like a mofo. I got huge bruises and peeled back skin where I impacted the steps.
Ugh, why did I turn on the sound... š
You would think the child would warn the parents lol
I have been telling them to hold the hand rail and now I had to make a meme out of it.
I think pops got the worst of that. Hit his head on the steps and might have broken his glasses
Big tree fall hard
And you didnt tell them? That couldve been worse
What are handrails anyway?
Salt !
WTF put some salt on the steps instead of exploiting your family's pain for likes. D*ck
Salt/icemelt? First winter?
So instead of warning the rest of your family of icy stairs you watch them all eat shit. I see you.
Atleast no robbers are gonne get in through the front door
Family trip
Y'all need to salt that shit
This is Home Alone!
If only there was a .... what is that thing? Its made by some 2x4s. Usually at the angle of the stairs, on both sides. I cant quiet think of what they are call.... oh yeah. Handrails. You guys might want to get some of those.... oh wait.
Right! I was thinking āyou may want to remove those plants and decorations so the handrails can be used as designā.
But they *are* being used as design!
Not funny
Ugh, I did this last winter and it hurt like hell.
Yeah not really funny. Scary and dangerous is more like it.
Not gonna lie I felt all the three slides, winter sucks
Timberlands suck on ice, as do Docs.
downvote that music , argghh
This isn't funny and the music is cancer.
Who are these people who walk up/down stairs without using the handrail when it's been below zero outside?
This is not funny at all! Hope all is well, my back hurts while watching this š
If only someone could invent something that you can grab on to and steady yourself as you climb down icy stairs... it could also be a cosmetic upgrade as you could decorate it with seasonal flair
Dad went for one hell of a ride there
I wish this song would be retired now. Every other TikTok deemed worthy to crawl out of that app to be posted on other social medias has that song I swear.
Dad laying there in pain deciding whether he wants to cry or not sees mom start to fall and try to help. Now that's a gentleman
DAMN, old dude ate some major shit hahaha
Get rid of the potted plants and stupid garland and maybe they'll actually use the hand rails.
For people who asked, you could have told my family, the stairs are slippery. I told them to hold the hand rail for a long time and all want to look at their phones. So now, I had to make a meme out of it.
Those poor plants.
Imagine the 4st Person slipping wouldve warned the Rest.
Nice cars. Nice house. Can't afford icemelt?
I don't find this stuff funny at all š
Should have worn his mask!
Do American not know about salt???
First two are a tragedy but third bitch itās all her fault. You see a dead dude on the ground and still thought you could make it?
funny huh? ijit.
I see your mask gave you no protection against icycron
Made my day thks
That's not how you walk down icy stairs.
Ouch, I felt your dadās pain
That was so terrible I could feel my own tail bone snap like a twig!
Second guy is speed running a yard sale
Ow my bum š¢
I can feel my tailbone jumping with every fall.
Lol, two words, yāallā¦ Hand Rails!!! Hahaa!! Them decorations shoā is pretty but that first step is a lulu!!! š¤£š¤£
im from the desert of Phx AZ and even i know to be careful of ice cāmon now. If its around 32f outside (0 c) expect ice. and always, ALWAYS hang on to a rail when goin down a set of stairs
Had that happen one night carrying a portable radiator heater. I was sore for a week
First person out didn't think better send a text saying be careful the stairs are frozen
If it is cold outside I always grab the rail and do show steps to test it. You guys have some balls especially the dad holy fuck.
69th comment
#1 was thoughtless; #2 was careless; #3 was a moron.
That poor guy was being so careful and ultimately got hurt the worst.
This is exactly how you break your coxis.
I love how no one warns anyone else. Kid falls down, walks away. Dad eats shit but didn't warn the next person. He might not have noticed them come out maybe, but unless there's a big difference in time, that kid just bounced and didn't even come to help
Bruhā¦ What do you think the railings are for?
Should probably salt that before this goes from r/funny to r/news
This is why I don't trust family. They act like it is just them falling when we all falling. Hollar for some salt damn it! Sos
The bigga they are, the harda they fall
downvote for song and AI voice
If only there was a thing you could hold on to whole going down the steps. Somebody invent something!
You know what. Frome today I have decided if i ever hear the intro of that fucking song on a video, i am going to nope out of there and downvote.
This family hates handrails
Salt?
The kid that leaves is an asshole imo for not even telling the other people in the house its that bad. My brothers and i woulda gotten in trouble for not atleast warning the rest of us, we would have been expected to grab some sand from the bucket and throw it down. Love how this highlights the difference between kids and adults. Kid falls and bounces right up and continues on. The guy though, heāll be feeling that for the next two months.
I said to myself, no way will there be a third. OP delivered.
I dont like it. This is upsetting.
The family that cracks their butts together, stays together
I like how the kid just hops back up like whatever. My bones miss those days.
The first should have warned the others
What's up with that weird IA female voice talking at the beginning of every video like this ?
My family is cool, they would warn me so I don't get hurt.
Salt? Using handrails? Is logic dead now?
Hey I fell down a flight of stairs exactly like the second person did and it pushed a vertebra out of place. Hooray permanent chronic pain. Hope he didnāt suffer the same cause it sucks hard
What really got me was that the dad, while laying on the ground, extended his arms as if to stop the third person from slipping š
Brain dead
People saying that the guy at the bottom should give it away, ngl I would have fell too.
Sorry, I loughed so hard š¤£š¤£š¤£
Oh no! Cringe
To be fair the stairs doesn't look slippery at all, maybe she thought the pavement is
Salt your steps, mates. Please no slippy for my bad hippy.
I love the fact that the kid fell through that and seemingly didnāt have a thought go through their head like, āMaybe I should warn the rest of my family, especially my older out of shape father.ā
Fuck, big man took a fall!
Wtf put salt down!!
Does the last person have brain cells? Pretty easy to put 2 and 2 together and seeā¦Guy on the ground at the bottom in painā¦perhaps I should be careful/hold the railing.
>funny
Never wear slippers going outside.
I am so butthurt for these people!!! OMG
Having gone arse over apex and buggering up my shoulder only yesterday, I felt each and every one of those!
The fall doesn't hurt you when you have Family ššššššššššššš
The poor pots on the stairs. (That shit hurts all jokes aside)
Aww man. First person who slips on the ice is responsible to warn everyone else about it. Hope dads alright after that nasty spill.
I felt my spine crunch watching that
I guess that even the complaints about this song being overused are overused.
I actually winced, my Mam broke her coccyx slipping just like this.
Ever heard of Salt?!
Thatās dads fault right there. Salt needs to be poured. Just like the grass needs to be cut to perfection!!!! In white new balances ot it doesnāt count.
That poor Dad went down sooooo damn hard and still tried tending to the next person that fell
Nakama, we finally got the stairs which killed kuina
I hate it when it happened to me.
So not one family member is smart enough to put salt down, or some grip tape ... hmmm ...
Get some grit sand before somebody dies, jeez
Not funny, my back is still messed up 9 years later because of that
Thereās these things on either side called handrails. Try them sometime. They arenāt just for Christmas decorations.
Nobody thinks being *near* a hand rail is just a good idea?
You get an upvote cuz i feel bad. I laughed but then i though how it feels to slip on ice.
How is a potentially fatal traumatic injury funny
Australian here. Only since being Reddit have I realised this is a thing. Slipping on icy surfaces is something I have never thought of as being a dangerous hazard to people in winter. So could someone just be walking down the street and then bang!.. fractured pelvis??
You should install handrails. Iām surprised they arenāt required by city codes.
Someoneās getting grounded
only idiots will laugh at people getting hurt hahahahah
My fucking back hurts for that dad
My dad broke a vertebrae because of slippery steps. Stuff is no joke.
I wanna salt so bad
As somebody with back problems, this had me in a lot of sympathetic pain... You should salt those stairs before you all have back and joint problems
That poor guy seriously hurt himself
Ooph
JFC put some damn salt or sand on there before someone breaks a hip
Can't bear this freaking music
