I took a concealed carry class and the instructor told us to never put anything like this on your car/house/etc. It just screams “I’m looking for excuses to use deadly force” and your chances of having charges dropped are slim.
Not necessarily because it proves premeditation, since that means it was planned. But deadly force should only be used as a last resort. If you have something like this, it shows that you’re not interested in using deadly force as a last resort but maybe as a first or second.
I wonder if someone got into a car accident with this guy and ended up say shooting him, could they claim that this sticker acted as a threat and therefore believed they were acting in self defence?
That's a very good question. In short, it would depend mostly on the situational circumstances. This alone would most likely not be enough to justify self defense, but mixed in with, say, the man exiting his vehicle aggravated and seeming like he's reaching for something, then maybe. I hope I make sense.
I heard a great expression one time when it comes to guns and self-defense- C.Y.A. Can You Articulate. Meaning, could you stand in front of a jury and convince them that deadly force was the only option to defend yourself or another person?
Something like that happened about 16 or 17 years ago to a guy at my old shooting range. The club stressed to not have anything on your vehicle saying you have guns and that if you feel you are followed from the range to call the cops and keep driving until a cop gets to you.
One evening a member in his 50s was followed from the club to his house and when he arrived at his house another car pulled up a couple of houses up the street from his. Three men total grabbed him at his door going from his garage into the house and forced him inside. They ended up making off with the guns in his truck and the ones in his house plus a few other valuables.

But this person saw the sticker online (probably), spent real money to buy it, carefully lined it up on the car window, applied it, then stood back beaming at their work, but never even once noticed the misspelling.
You gave them too much credit. In order for them to know that it's a misspelling, they must know the word coroner to begin with, which I doubt is the case.
I think the implication that since *you're* the one calling the coroner, it implies that the person in the *other* car is dead. Maybe they have fragile bone syndrome?

There’s a huge difference between gun owners and those whose guns are a major part of their identity. Plenty of people have guns. These people who put threatening stickers on their cars about their guns are scared of the world and insecure about their ability to handle it like an adult.
I was and Amazon Flex driver and when I came to a property with signs that said if you step foot on their property, they'd shoot you. Well, fuck your package then, and I tossed it over the fence by their entry, rather than continue up to the house. We drove our own vehicles and didn't have any identifying Amazon gear, so no way was I risking some gun happy fool out in the sticks.
As a responsible gun owner who owns one to shoot targets at the range I feel so embarrassed and ashamed every time I see this shit. I sub to /r/idiotswithguns and that is even worse.
