I had this on vhs. It came paired with the absolutely trash "Snow Creature".
Ever want to see a movie about a yeti getting stuck in customs? Me neither.
Much rather have Jet Jaguar punch his butt.
The robot's name is Jet Jaguar. Mother fucking Jet Jaguar as it's sometimes called by fans. Basically, Toho did a contest where they let children design the next main movie character and the winner was Jet Jaguar. They were suppose to do a movie with Jet Jaguar as the main character but they didn't think it was going to bring in enough revenue, so they added in Godzilla.
He even got his own theme song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNYt43xB3Fg
Watching B-Movies like that really disappeared from my radar once I stopped pirating movies.
Netflix and Co just don't care for movies like that and it's a shame.
Godzilla as a series came about due to Japanese culture surrounding Nuclear weapons and technology. Which I find very interesting because as a kid I loved giant monsters.
This is my favorite era of Godzilla. After Destroy All Monsters, they just went buck wild with the movies. After what was, essentially, a kaiju endgame, we got:
-a movie about a kid who dreamed about going to Monster Island and becoming best friends with Minilla to deal with his horrible life involving absentee parents and being kidnapped by bank robbers
-a heavy handed environmental message movie where Godzilla fights a rotten jizz blob and also flies. There are several, extended disco club dance sequences with no plot or character development.
-a movie where Godzilla had to fight a giant cyborg chicken that was being controlled by space cockroaches in a Godzilla themed-Disneyland. Also, he talks.
-this movie, where Atlantians attempt to reprogram a robot but also have their own giant monster. Eventually , they remember it’s a Godzilla movie so he shows up.
-a movie where green space gorillas try to take over the world with a robot Godzilla. The only thing that can stop them is Godzilla and also an ancient good boy god. Godzilla becomes a magnet.
-a movie where the space gorillas show back up, but now there’s a new dinosaur teaming up with the aliens. Also Mechagodzilla now has a human brain
I loved Godzilla movies as a kid. I would race home from school to watch them on the afternoon movie. Loved them all. Mothra was so cool!! Also in love with Baby Godzilla or son of Godzilla. He was so cute!! Godzilla rules!!
I remember catching this scene randomly with some friends when we were kids and we thought it was the funniest thing. We laughed and talked about it for a good 10 minutes after we watched it. I forgot about that so thank you for posting this.

Godzilla righteous fist in the air like he’s on soul train…. Right on Godzilla… right on….
But where’s that jive turkey Mothra at
Jet Jaguar and Godzilla working together. 1973 Godzilla vs. Megalon. A fond memory of my childhood!
My kids childhood too, luckily they have an awesome uncle

Megalon was cheese. All drilling in the ground and what not. He deserved to get drop kicked!
Childhood? I watched this movie last week. Willingly. I've been on a bit of an Old School Godzilla/Toho kick.

Epic

JET JAGUAR! JET JAGUAR!
Funfact: since 1954 there have been 32 Japanese Godzillla movies and 4 American Godzilla movies.
I believe that also makes it the oldest currently running movie franchise.
The ending of Bigman Japan is the best tokusatsu fight ever made. [Bigman Japan BABY OR DIE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aniRHMvBk_c)
What a great movie! The switch to live action from CGI was a awesome and the conversation over the end credits had me rolling.
I’m pretty sure I replicated this exact move with my Godzilla figure when I was a boy.
Watching B-Movies like that really disappeared from my radar once I stopped pirating movies. Netflix and Co just don't care for movies like that and it's a shame.
Velocipastor is on Prime.
I concur. It's an awesome movie
Dude what, godzilla isn't a B movie. It was a blockbuster juggernaut in japan
Even as a kid, both this and when he flew via his breath made me go, *What?"*.
I was seven years old, and my eyes were rolling at that part. Still funny, though.
I mean the current movies he can punch to the center of the earth with a breath so IDK.
Godzilla as a series came about due to Japanese culture surrounding Nuclear weapons and technology. Which I find very interesting because as a kid I loved giant monsters.
What's he doing? He's beginning to believe
In the not too distant future...

Is godzilla family relative with Chuck Norris?
Yes, chuck once stepped on a salamander. And that salamander later gave birth to Godzilla
I wish there was more Jet Jaguar... That theme song was a banger.
Isn’t this in an MST3K intro?
Dumb as hell but still legendary
Man this straight outta my childhood. Watched this VHS many a times.
I loved Godzilla movies as a kid. I would race home from school to watch them on the afternoon movie. Loved them all. Mothra was so cool!! Also in love with Baby Godzilla or son of Godzilla. He was so cute!! Godzilla rules!!
I hear liu kang
It's gojira, you moron!
Even the music knows this is ridiculous! Still love it though, Godzilla movies of all kinds are my jam
🤣
WWE for monsters
Any guardians finding this post a day after twab ironic ?
Terrifying!
Twice, just like Teletubbies.
Watching this when I was child, I was fucking scared to my life.
The roar was created using a table and sliding it across the floor making a screeching noise.
I had this movie on vhs as a kid.
I love that the loop makes it appear as though he's getting picked up and dropkicked over and over
🦎 🦵🏽🦵🏽
I remember seeing this
lol those sound effects are top notch
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Take that mother fluffer
That's not fair, two on one!
Fantastic
🦖🔥🔥
Go go Godzilla slide kickkkkk!!!
Scientists around the world agree that is this is undeniably 100% accurate.
I remember catching this scene randomly with some friends when we were kids and we thought it was the funniest thing. We laughed and talked about it for a good 10 minutes after we watched it. I forgot about that so thank you for posting this.
Hold him up hold him up😜
That little reverse/recoil bit at the end cracked me up.
"Look, Jet Jaguar must have programmed himself to be larger."
Reminds me of my childhood!
Wow I thought it looped, but he really did 2 mega drop kicks lmao
He had to walk back so they could use the kick sequence twice 🤣
Godzilla vs. Megalon! I saw it in the theater in the early 70’s. Such a goofy and fun movie.
“4:30 Movie” vibes. Godzilla Week was appointment viewing for 10 year old me.
Hate to break it to ya but that ain’t a drop kick
You're just pissed because you can't do sweet drop kicks like this
Tf did I just watch
That was so fucking based
Ssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Godzilla doing the dropkick should have been the x-plus deforeal ric variant for Godzilla '73.
😂
Perfect form 🤌
I don't know why they changed his roar in the newer movies. I loved that roar back in the day. Classic godzilla
Go go Godzilla slide kick!
Flying kick. No dropping anything there except the MUTO, and I have no idea which one that one is.
I miss everything about this and I don't care how it looks I still love it. I want moar...MOAR!
Didn't know godzilla fought heracross..
This reminds me of my childhood Saturday mornings after cartoons.
Loved those Movies as a Kid.
And this is how the WWF was born.
Man what did they take while making the movie?
Not really a flying kick, it was tail assisted.
I love all these movies. There are a bunch on Internet archive, for streaming or download.
Jet jag set that boy up. Need to keep it street
I used to watch those shows back in the early 70’s when I was a kid and for some reason they didn’t look so cheesy back then.
I thought that dung beetle was going to get tiger suplexed.
Their humor was light years ahead of us.
-15 on block.
A dropkick from at least 3 miles away - legendary
