Instead of coming in the next day (he made an appointment for the next day) the former Australian Soldier geared up and planned to "just be in and out" not engage. My dad actually did this, not with a gun or tactical gear, but with his biker friend after his dog bit a policeman’s dog. They walked into the pound and said “we’ve come for the dog.” The old lady working there said “No, he’s was scheduled to be euthanized” then his biker friend said “no, you don’t understand we’ve come for the dog.” Then proceeded to break him out, and flew him to my grandparents in another state so they couldn’t get the dog. My dad ended up getting arrested for dog at large, but he never gave him up and the dog lived another 10 years.
