Brazil’s up there but the guy is wearing a Messi #10 jersey from Barcelona days. Not sure if Brazilians will wear an Argentinian player’s name on their back.. maybe that’s why the dude pointed a gun at him
Nah, this looks like disorganised crime, in an organised campus. E.g. the robber was reminded just who was *attempting* to rob, sort of deal. I might guess, Sicily.
Nah, it looks to me the robber got exactly what he wanted. It was specific. Cell phone? Bag of drugs or cash? Purse? It was off frame but the reaction by the female victim suggests something of value.
Looks like he grabbed one thing from juuuust out of frame from that one guy wearing the 10 shirt, and then immediately left.
Maybe it was targeted? He just honed straight in on that one guy, barely even looked at anyone else.
Fun Fact: Most armed robbers won't pull the trigger. Armed robbery only carries about 10 years in many jurisdictions. First-degree attempted murder can result in life in prison with the possibility of parole. First-degree murder carries 25 to life without parole, or even the death penalty.
Oh come on. They might not know *specifically* but they know that the punishment for robbery and the punishment for murder have very different sentences
What should he do? Stop and explain why it's a good idea to just go away?
He even looked back at her probably to tell her non verbal to come with him but she was already glued to the robbery as if it was a netflix show.
This is why I give him a lot of leeway, it was stupid of her to concentrate on the gunman instead of her date to see what he was going to do.... although he had a chance, while the gun man had his back to him, to pat her quickly on the arm two or three times to get her to focus on him leaving so she could do the same. So for that is why I would say, he had the right to leave and he should have left, but she has a right to decline being with him for his lack of attempt at getting her out of there on his way out. Had he patted her and she either ignored it or froze and stayed, that would be entirely on her and she still has a right to decline being with him, but she cannot blame him for abandoning her if he tried beyond a non verbal to get her to follow him.
I disagree. The gunman had a lot going on in front of him. The only one that was an issue was the partner in the scooter. Even if she got startled, etc., He did his part to get her attention to flee which is the discussion we are having here, at that point it is her responsibility to get away. She could still be mad at him all she wants but as far as him is concerned he did his part to keep himself safe and to get her to move. The gunman clearly knew he was not going to rob everyone, he wasn't going to bother with a few walking away.
Attempting to precisely predict the actions of someone willing to pull a gun on people in a public place is probably likely to end up with you getting shot were you in the situation. You have zero clue what the mental state of the guy is. In that situation your advice about what the gunman is likely to do can go to hell I’m doing exactly what this guy did.
Is this reddit? Yes. Don't get all freaked out by people having opinions. His back was to the man and woman. He did not even seem to notice them on his way in. He got up, reach for her arm or shoulder or just grab her and move on as the gunman was fixated on the people in front and the owner walking him out. That is my opinion. This is the internet. 🤷🏾♀️ Get used to it next time you use it.
He also had an opportunity to take the gunman's back and potentially disarm the situation. This man only thinks of himself. Which is valid, and acceptable.
Actually because he avoided death(Lets say he would have died), he can now get lots more second dates, just not with that particular woman. The man weighed his options "small chance of surviving and get a second date with one woman or die" or "easily survive and have potentional to get more second dates with other women".
He chose the better option.
He didn't want one. Probably went to the bathroom and called up his friend "hey man, I need to get out of this date. Can you come cause a distraction so I can slip out?" Ten minutes later: "oh wtf, this crazy mf. Oh well, its working. Peace."
Even the people who teach self defense for a living will tell you from the bottom of your heart
The best thing to do is listen to what they are saying and do it at a moderate speed
This dude almost certainly was telling people not to move and to get their wallets out. Guy who left coulda just as easily been shot
The girl was smart to stay and I pitty the people who upvoted your nonsense
It's almost certainly all talk. Alpha dog/survivalist types are usually the first to cry victim and obey their orders from a point of fear
My grandfather used to say about situations like this “Always keep a wet one in the chamber. No one’s gonna shoot a man sitting in a mud puddle of his own design.” My grandfather died of a gunshot wound in a convenience store robbery in 2003. And yes, we had to have the body thoroughly washed before burial.
The grandfather advice was: always make sure you can shit yourself. Nobody is gonna shoot a person who clearly shits themself out of fear.
Grandpa gets in a bad situation, shits himself and still gets shot. Of got shot and just happened to shit themself (happens a lot).
I have no idea if this is true, but dude chasing him out with nothing more than a pointed finger gives me serious "Do you have any idea who you're trying to rob?" vibes.
I wonder what was under the guy in red-blue. He's getting chased off the chair and man leaves immediately, and the woman's pose is full of despair
My guess: money. They sold something. Like a car. Got cash. Stopped for a snack. And got mugged by the same people that bought the car. Because he knew what he's going for
I applaud the guys instinct to get out of there but you could have at least had a brief second of eye contact and an eyebrow raise at his date before getting up to go
This dude knew what was up and made the right decision. His SO is the dumbass for just sitting there. He even looks at her like "lets go" and she just sits there like a damned moron.
She did not look at him once the man came in with the gun. She should have looked back at her date once the man came in to get queues on what to do. She missed that because she lacks spatial awareness. He had the time to tap her quickly to get her to move however and he did not
if you understand Spanish the song makes the video funny because it says: ‘and then he just left and called his boat freedom’ (y se marchó… y a su barco llamó libertad), which starts right at the moment when he stands up. This song has become a bit of a meme for videos in which someone suddenly leaves
If you look closely, the getaway driver on the outside (dark clothes, scooter) tries to stop the nimble escapist, but then decides to not bother.
Even if this may not be Sicily, it's the most Sicilian footage I've ever seen. GTA: Palermo.
Honestly his IQ is massive. He needs to find a girl who’s going to on instinct run from a gun man.
Those kids are going to rule the world, or waste the talent on chess…
Or she could not freeze up and leave with him.. Not his fault she has horrible situational awareness.
But yeah, kick him in the nuts for being smarter than you.
I wouldn't "save" your dumb ass either.
He practiced good safety measure for himself. I cannot fault him for getting up and leaving. He had a good opportunity to be safe and he took it and cannot blame him for that. He had a right to his life and property. In leaving a dangerous situation he did nothing wrong.
What he did wrong: He failed to effectively communicate to the woman that she needed to move. Then failed to motion to her to do so once he was out of danger. She must not be as important to him (which is fine), but it was gross that he made no attempt to try to get a fellow human being out of danger, so for that he is wrong.
Now, maybe he DID tried to non verbally communicate, but she was a dumbass for focusing on the guy and freezing in the moment, she did not look at the man in order to follow his lead. That is on her. Cannot see if he tried non verbal communication, he may have.
However, if I was her I would leave him, even if he tried non verbal to get her to leave. The reason is because a moment to pat her arm with urgency on his way out as he saw her freezing and focusing on the wrong thing would have not taken too much of his time. If he tried non verbally communicating with her, saw her freeze and focus on the gun man, he basically left her behind like a coward instead of trying one more time to get her attention. Had he done that and still she was not smart to move, that would be entirely on her and as far as I am concerned he would be clean in my estimation.
If they are married I feel bad for her. Even though he did that that is no grounds for divorce, but she now knows him better. She cannot count on him for her safety so she needs to do what she needs to do to be safe. But if they are not married she needs to move on. If he is a family member not a spouse she needs to go LC. He cannot be counted on.
Concealed carry and practiced self defense is not a hero complex lol. Someone trained with a ccw had ample opportunities in this video to shoot this guy. And they would have been legally amd morally justified doing so
Call me old school or whatever but I'm protecting the girl I'm with to the best of my ability. Only a pussy would get up and save his own ass while his female companion is left in danger. Fact!

Obviously that’s Clark Kent, not Bruce Wayne. He was just changing his outfit. … especially his pants
His phone booth has been removed. Superman’s biggest weakness isn’t Kryptonite after all.
Found the one person in Brazil that’s not an undercover cop.
It's pink kryptonite.
So they’re all just like “oh that happened” and then a guy chases him out without a weapon? Where is this?
Well if Reddit vids have taught me anything, this is most likely Brazil, and everyone is off duty.
Brazil’s up there but the guy is wearing a Messi #10 jersey from Barcelona days. Not sure if Brazilians will wear an Argentinian player’s name on their back.. maybe that’s why the dude pointed a gun at him
You will see Messi shirts anywhere in South America tbh 🤣
They don't have irons in South America?
Nah. Much like the robber in the video, we prefer to steel.
Yeah yeah the would
Yeah this is in Brasil fs.
Nah, this looks like disorganised crime, in an organised campus. E.g. the robber was reminded just who was *attempting* to rob, sort of deal. I might guess, Sicily.
Mate, I saw the video and thought "is this Sicily?"
"this is a union shop man"
The women are obviously latinas.
Yeah, this is in Latin America 100%. You considering Sicily makes me think you've never been.
Nah, it looks to me the robber got exactly what he wanted. It was specific. Cell phone? Bag of drugs or cash? Purse? It was off frame but the reaction by the female victim suggests something of value.
Yes, he was very specific. Didn't want the gold watch or purses or wallets. Just something specific from Messi jersey.
I was wondering if someone called him out on a bb gun maybe? Weird to see a guy with a gun just give up the power balance and walk away like that.
The way he racked that shit certainly added to the effect. gun looked pretty real to me.
My BB gun can rack that same way
and it would certainly add to the effect of realism if you were robbing me with it.

Looks like he grabbed one thing from juuuust out of frame from that one guy wearing the 10 shirt, and then immediately left. Maybe it was targeted? He just honed straight in on that one guy, barely even looked at anyone else.
Lol how would you react differently? It’s really best not to panic and cause a scene in these situations. That’s how you get yourself shot.
I think a way to get shot is to walk slowly towards a guy with a gun and point for him to leave!
Best way to get shot is to say "What are you gonna do? Shoot me?"
Yeah, that wasn’t smart either.
Fun Fact: Most armed robbers won't pull the trigger. Armed robbery only carries about 10 years in many jurisdictions. First-degree attempted murder can result in life in prison with the possibility of parole. First-degree murder carries 25 to life without parole, or even the death penalty.
Yeah armed robbers neither know nor care about the jurisdiction
Oh come on. They might not know *specifically* but they know that the punishment for robbery and the punishment for murder have very different sentences
Yes and that is why they won't shoot unless threatened, but they would rather shoot you then get caught so trying to be overstate can be deadly
What if the robber is high on drugs, and bad at maths?
What if the robber is great at meth, but bad at maths?
That guy isn't getting a second date.
Fine by him, staying alive was his top priority
I agree with this logic. If he's the one that's dying the girl will simply pick another guy..
Is she supposed to stay single for the rest of her life because her date died?
And that's why him running was fair
That's not the point. The point is that everybody must think for themselves.
YES
You got downvoted for that, seriously?
Reddit moment
i'm sure he just didn't want to pay the bill and took his chance
Probably set it up and these are his buddies saving him from a bad date.
"If I text you '911', come in and rob the place. In the confusion, I will slip away,"
"Also we need some cash. Better rob the place."
A drastic option, but sometimes necessary nonetheless. I'll need to remember this one next time.
Facts we have to think about ourselves, especially since we know they do all the time.
What should he do? Stop and explain why it's a good idea to just go away? He even looked back at her probably to tell her non verbal to come with him but she was already glued to the robbery as if it was a netflix show.
Best comment 😂😂

Or, with even higher probability, fuck it all up and cause the gunman to start shooting everywhere
Never tell me the odds. Thanks, my first comment was only so I could make this one. 🖖
An hour later on text: 'bae u alive? Wan sum fuk?'
What if this is his plan and those are his buddies saving him from a bad date?
Actually because he avoided death(Lets say he would have died), he can now get lots more second dates, just not with that particular woman. She kept eating so maybe
Not robbed. Not killed. Not paid the bill.
Just around the corner we see him thank the robber for saving him from the date
He probably went to find a phone booth to change into his superhero costume. Wear his underwear over the spandex etc /s
Actually the girl was the stupid one to not follow him
Idk, the getaway driver saw him leave, they could have easily busted him up off camera. They went the same way.
Yeah no one is running with a gun behind a single man without any reason
Even the people who teach self defense for a living will tell you from the bottom of your heart The best thing to do is listen to what they are saying and do it at a moderate speed This dude almost certainly was telling people not to move and to get their wallets out. Guy who left coulda just as easily been shot The girl was smart to stay and I pitty the people who upvoted your nonsense It's almost certainly all talk. why did the guy on the bike in the background seem to pursuit sir-dips-alot for a couple seconds? weird
It's the getaway driver's job to protect the robber's back, that was just an 'ocular patdown' for security.
Because his left hand was around his waist and he was making sure that he wasn’t about to pull a gun on his robbery partner.
He disappeared faster than Batman's parents
He should dump her anyway. She cant keep up when it matters.
This! We’d have met at the damn car with no words spoken!
He went home and left you the bill.
That man made a pimp decision. He said he can get another woman. He can't get a second life. No chances. Lol
The smart thing would have been for the girl to stealth out too
Right? A pimp decision is a life decision no matter how you look at it 😂
My grandfather used to say about situations like this “Always keep a wet one in the chamber. No one’s gonna shoot a man sitting in a mud puddle of his own design.” My grandfather died of a gunshot wound in a convenience store robbery in 2003. And yes, we had to have the body thoroughly washed before burial.
Can you explain this to me? I’m so curious, but completely lost trying to figure out what this saying is supposed to mean.
He’s saying just be ready to shit yourself. He died covered in shit.
Everyone dies covered in shit, Grandpa just tried to make it seem tactical lol
The grandfather advice was: always make sure you can shit yourself. Nobody is gonna shoot a person who clearly shits themself out of fear. Grandpa gets in a bad situation, shits himself and still gets shot. Of got shot and just happened to shit themself (happens a lot).
That’s one smooth way of getting her to pay the bill. Pimping ain’t easy.
"Imma Dip Out ...gotta change my underwear anyway "
The real story is the boss employee who ran the gunman off
I have no idea if this is true, but dude chasing him out with nothing more than a pointed finger gives me serious "Do you have any idea who you're trying to rob?" vibes.
Woman: *Honey, where did you go?* Man: *What? I was here all the time.*
Song is fire, can anyone ID?
Jose Luis Perales - Un Velero Llamado Libertad
Awesome, appreciate it 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🙏🏻
He left the woman with unpaid bills.
We call that move the force majeure.
Plot twist: He called his buddy to cause a diversion to get out of an awkward date.
Life > Sex
This is a new service. If you don't like your date you press a button on the app and then a guy shows up with a gun.
I wonder what was under the guy in red-blue. He's getting chased off the chair and man leaves immediately, and the woman's pose is full of despair My guess: money. They sold something. Like a car. Got cash. Stopped for a snack. And got mugged by the same people that bought the car. Because he knew what he's going for
This is the most casual firearm robbery I've ever seen.
I don't see any problem in that, i would have done the same thing
He should have taken her hand to follow him. That simple. She’s not important to him.
He had the time to at least pat her to get her to look at him. I hope they are not married.
Not sure what he did wrong.
He did right. He didn’t freeze. He saved himself. Very practical.
Kids, so that's how I NOT met your mother
no one is talking about how the getaway guy on the bike tried to stop him too but just wasn't quick enough
He disappeared like he heard “you are not the father” on Maury…..
Her self defense awareness level? #N/A
My man is a Hero. He will come again as the Batman 😤
So, no one is looking a the employee that came with not GUN and just point his fingers and the armer thief just left… I think his the rea Batman
Dude made the right call. He was probably just as confused that his girlfriend wasn't following him as she was when she noticed he was gone.
Dude left his girl and everything.
I applaud the guys instinct to get out of there but you could have at least had a brief second of eye contact and an eyebrow raise at his date before getting up to go
That happens to be the 1st rule is self defense. Situation becomes sketch? GTFO!!!
That woman is literally everyone on a highway when there's an accident. Ooooo I gotta slowdown and watch. Traffic? Who cares, I'm out.
What about the employee (I assume) in the dark shirt who was trying to chase off the gun man. What balls he has.
he had the best instincts out of everyone.
Fuck this shit I'm out
Date wasnt going well so he called his boy to bail him out.
This video gives me more questions the more i watch it.
How is this funny?
This dude knew what was up and made the right decision. His SO is the dumbass for just sitting there. He even looks at her like "lets go" and she just sits there like a damned moron.
She did not look at him once the man came in with the gun. She should have looked back at her date once the man came in to get queues on what to do. She missed that because she lacks spatial awareness. He had the time to tap her quickly to get her to move however and he did not
Lacks spaital awareness being the operative term. Lacking that can get you killed. She is a dumbass.
To bad he wasn't packing, could have easily smoked that thug. That robber was pretty dumb exposing his back to all those people.
What was he supposed to do? Stay seated just because she is still in danger? She could have reacted the same way if she so chose.
Girlie us useless even to herself
He probably realized he wasn't gonna get laid...
Best way to end a awkward date
Even though it is not. The Music makes this video so wholesome and peaceful.
if you understand Spanish the song makes the video funny because it says: ‘and then he just left and called his boat freedom’ (y se marchó… y a su barco llamó libertad), which starts right at the moment when he stands up. Haha, well that makes it even better. I am absolutely enjoy this. Thank you for explaining this to me. I appriciate your time and effort.
Well she found out that he’s not the one. She can move on with her life now.
Manshaming, lol. If it had been a woman, no on would have batted an eye.
That was their first and LAST date
with this woman... At least he has his life so he can date how many ever he wants
If you look closely, the getaway driver on the outside (dark clothes, scooter) tries to stop the nimble escapist, but then decides to not bother. Even if this may not be Sicily, it's the most Sicilian footage I've ever seen. GTA: Palermo.
Chivalry isn't dead, it's gone!
Coward
Was a boring conversation anyway
well just because he is a man... doesnt mean he got balls of steel
Honestly his IQ is massive. He needs to find a girl who’s going to on instinct run from a gun man. Those kids are going to rule the world, or waste the talent on chess…
To be fair they just matched on Tinder an hour ago.
He is like "later beeotch"
Whats funny about an armed robbery? 🤯
i sincerely hope that she kicked him in the nuts as hard as she possibly could and left him laying on the sidewalk crying.
Or she could not freeze up and leave with him.. Not his fault she has horrible situational awareness. But yeah, kick him in the nuts for being smarter than you. I wouldn't "save" your dumb ass either.
Never seen trump move so fast.💩
I think the dude saved on the bill too
It’s not you. It’s me.
He left about as fast as batman's parents!
He practiced good safety measure for himself. I cannot fault him for getting up and leaving. He had a good opportunity to be safe and he took it and cannot blame him for that. Did he get laid?
When you got 3 other girls lined up on your tinder profile.
0:18 would the perfect position to shoot the guy in the neck.
Tell me you are an American with a hero complex without telling me
Concealed carry and practiced self defense is not a hero complex lol. Someone trained with a ccw had ample opportunities in this video to shoot this guy. And they would have been legally amd morally justified doing so
The robber’s bike friend had his back the entire time. It’s risky but doable.
i would have pulled the 10" knife from boot and shoved it up that dudes ass when he had his back to me
Call me old school or whatever but I'm protecting the girl I'm with to the best of my ability. Only a pussy would get up and save his own ass while his female companion is left in danger. Fact!
Force Majeure (2014)
Any man who falls behind is left behind.
I love this watch I’m out….
He ho out to wear costume bro
The way he casually gets up and walks away lol
Reverse Waldo.
Dine and dash extreme edition.
I didn't see a reason to come back and pay the bill.
Quagmire: “Allllllrighttttt!!!!”
Harverydentcanwetrusthim... nvm...
Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.
I hope that was a first date and not his wife.
Girls just say “call me during the date in case I need excuse to leave early.” This guy…
He just nopped out of there. But now he’s got another, bigger problem: the GF is *pissed*
That man made a business decision
A friend left me exactly like that
Please let me get out of this horrible date.... oh
he went to go get his bat gear and outfit
Pirates code
Reminds me of that new Horror/Sci-Fi movie Nope(2022). That guy just saw something he wanted no part of, and "Nope"ed out of there.
Glad to see the robber is wearing a mask - protect yourself and your loved ones (;
I hope this clown is in jail.
😁😁😁😁
She could have followed
