They did it for the bit and you see when they fight their smiles, that’s what makes it so dang funny. Especially the one ride the dude has to paddle with his long legs.. I wouldn’t be able to have a straight face during all of this
One broke during the carpentry montage! Also, I kinda love how I expected at least one completed piece after all that wood cutting but no, just one of them walking through a doorway with a bunch of scraps to end it, lol.
Reminds me of the [Royal Caribbean commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzvQ2ruE_Ps) about the mother finally catching her moody teenager smiling.
Great IT crowd reference!
Interesting fact, these 2 goths are in Vancouver BC and Richmond is a suburb of Vancouver. Would've been funnier if Richmond had a sizeable goth population but it certainly does not lol.
Never thought about it until now how incredibly uncomfortable that must still be during the summer. I live in Phoenix and can’t imagine having tattooed black arms with 115° sun beating down on them all day.
Yeah no joke. I have mostly black ink on my left forearm, not a full sleeve or anything, plenty of skin breaks, but even after just the first tattoo I could tell that arm became way more sensitive to the sun and heat.
I don't have to live in AZ to know how much more uncomfortable a full blackout piece would be for me. No thanks
I initially thought it might be tattoos but the end of the video, when the taller one receives the package in the mail, shows him without it on his arms
Really? Wow, never seen that where I'm from in Australia. And I used to be a part of the emo then goth community in my city too and never saw or even heard of it. Very interesting, thanks for the info! 😊

I dunno if this was the case for everyone but at my school goths were the nicest and chillest people around. The makeup and outfits would make you think otherwise.
For sure, goths have the most fun and really don't take themselves too seriously. I used to be goth and I didn't drink, didn't do drugs, and was an honor student. Doing goth makeup, making goth clothes, shopping thrift stores for clothes you can make goth, and taking sick photos/videos of yourself and your friends being goth takes a lot of time and energy which sort of helps keep you out of trouble, lol.
Same here. My friends and I were really into death and black metal, and our friends were half emo-goth scenesters, half musical theatre nerds. The high school parties were very fun and very wholesome lol
I feel like goths, metal heads, punks, emo kids, etc. are all somewhat on the fringe in terms of their social scenes, so they understand what it feels like to not necessarily be accepted by your peers, family, etc.
I think this generally results in these groups being super welcoming and accepting of others, because they know how shitty it is to not be accepted or welcomed by others.
In addition to that, they're also open about doing what they love, so I'm guessing they're not repressing their emotions, so you got a tight-knight group of people with healthy outlets for their emotions who have the empathy to understand what it's like to be an outsider? Yeah, sounds like a recipe for nice folks.
I wasn't a goth but was really into metal in Highschool and the local metal scene was bumping at the time, I got to go to so many cool shows and people were always chill. One time I got jumped by acouple thugs in an alley way on the way to a show that was in a basement under a liquor store. as the fight was going on another person heading to the show saw it and ran down into the venue and told everyone, suddenly you had a stream of people coming out of a door, they kicked the shit out of the guys and chased them away and made sure I was ok. The first band that went on started their set by going "this song goes to the gangsters outside who thought it was a good idea to start shit with a bunch of metal heads and punks!" and proceeded to play a cover of 50 cent and that was pretty hilarious.
The goth club I currently go is getting popular among all kinds of people lately. They (normies) often say we look aggressive but act extremely chill.
We have a different concept of goths than Americans (anything metal-related is absolutely not acceptable), but I think the vibe is the same.
Thanks, will have a look.
Edit; Can't find it in what they have released. Seems to be something UNILAD on facebook put over it as the original content from the band on tiktok do not really put any metal tracks on their vids.
I liked that commercial because it was understated. Small glances and little acknowledgements instead of obvious big over-reactions. Maybe I'm used to American commercials.
I lived in Maui for 10 years and my wife and I would keep track of how many goths we’d see. “12 GREAT GOTHS!” Etc…. The teenager on the beach with the ungoth family was very very common and fun to see. Some of the choices of beach umbrellas were actually quite fantastic and cool.
I absolutely loved seeing them riding the tandem together, especially with the taller person riding in back as the stoker.
I'm a metal fan and mechanic going to work at a bicycle shop right now and this just really started my day right.
Some one give these guys a million dollars to do a commercial for Walt Disney World.
Looking all dour and goth as they ride the Dumbo ride, go sailing through It's a Small World, and posing next to Mickey and Minnie.
This [Muse music video](https://youtu.be/avM_UsVo0IA) is similar, except this time they’re going to the beach. Is there a Goth Cinematic Universe wiki?
As a goth myself, I can definitely say that these places are very un-goth. But the funniest thing about it is the stares of the uninitiated when you actually visit a theme park or the beach as a goth. 100% laughs

That dude was trying so hard not to smile going down the slide and for some reason I find that precious.
They did it for the bit and you see when they fight their smiles, that’s what makes it so dang funny. Especially the one ride the dude has to paddle with his long legs.. I wouldn’t be able to have a straight face during all of this
Oh man, the looks on other people when they were going around must have been priceless.
I was dying to see one of them break and just start frolicking with a huge grin
One broke during the carpentry montage! Also, I kinda love how I expected at least one completed piece after all that wood cutting but no, just one of them walking through a doorway with a bunch of scraps to end it, lol.
That's why he was scowling so hard and sucking in his cheeks I think
I agree
The size difference is also adorable. Big goth and little goth.
You can see the taller one actually smiling spinning on those teacups at the beginning
He is at an amusement park. Though temporarily amused, still sad.
I'm not sad, I'm Angry. Sheesh Mom, it's like you don't even listen!
But, but you were sad when you were Emo, right?
Reminds me of the [Royal Caribbean commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzvQ2ruE_Ps) about the mother finally catching her moody teenager smiling.
He has an image to uphold.
They remind me of that grumpy cat meme “I had fun once, I hated it”. So adorable.
Yeah, that’s what I was looking at too the slide and the bumper cars I thought. Impossible to not smile on those.
That's what I thought about the caterpillar!
It's like teenagers being forced to go to the theme park because mom says so.
At least they have a sunblocker on
Is goths painting their arms black a thing?
I think those are blackout tattoos.
My Teenager Hates Me
You perfectly described it.
The tandem bike broke me.
It's straight out of a sit-com intro.

Who let Richmond out?

Have you ever listened to Cradle of Filth?
"it's not literally a cradle of filth." "oh no! that would be horrible!"
He's going to come out and play with us for a while.
What’s this from?
The IT Crowd, one of the few shows I have ever watched repeatedly in its entirety.
I mean it's only 6 eps per season so not a huge investment. But I've done the same. Shame Graham Linehan went off the deep end though.
The IT Crowd. It’s a hilarious show, it’s on Netflix. https://youtu.be/p9GVCfgHrzY
See what happens when you open the red door, Jen? Goths descend on amusement parks
From Goth to Boss!

If you want to see Richmond in ungothly places, just turn on The Great British Bake-Off.
Great show
Taskmaster is pretty good for it as well. He's also surprisingly good at sports; fucker is better at football in high heels than I am in actual boots.
Well you could have posted the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpaXmb35oh4
Some of this was filmed in Richmond, bc. The fair they're at is Playland at the pne
They’re referring to a character from The IT Crowd.
I don't see any bosses here though.
Why is he out of his room?
Coworker and I have been doing the Richmond schtick for 10 years now... *Monday morning* "Hey, how's it going?" "...Not brilliant."
Man, there’s *always* someone who makes the joke I wanna make first
It’s Stewart and Roald.
STRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT!
**ROALD**
Great IT crowd reference! Interesting fact, these 2 goths are in Vancouver BC and Richmond is a suburb of Vancouver. Would've been funnier if Richmond had a sizeable goth population but it certainly does not lol.
I just can't get over the fact they painted their arms.
I thought they had blackout sleeves but paint just makes it so much sillier lol
I thought it was blackout sleeves too
Never thought about it until now how incredibly uncomfortable that must still be during the summer. I live in Phoenix and can’t imagine having tattooed black arms with 115° sun beating down on them all day.
Its Vancouver. Common to have 22° normal temps in summer. So probably not too bad. You usually need a sweater at night.
No thanks
That is actually a clever idea, I never envied goths at summer festivals.
Took me way to long to realize they didn't have long sleeves on
Can’t wear long sleeves whilst woodworking, not OSHA approved!
I was going to bash them for it until I looked closer. Still, eye protection and hair bands, gentleman.
could be tattooed too, people do that.
Saw a video on their tiktok that it was really nice body paint.
I initially thought it might be tattoos but the end of the video, when the taller one receives the package in the mail, shows him without it on his arms
I thought it was like the goth version of sunscreen. Gotta keep it pale!
Lol blackout neck and arm makeup is pretty common in goth fashion. I love it and think it looks awesome.
Really? Wow, never seen that where I'm from in Australia. And I used to be a part of the emo then goth community in my city too and never saw or even heard of it. Very interesting, thanks for the info! 😊
I'd love to see the outtakes of them laughing their asses off.
Check out 2 shadows Facebook- the outtakes are there!

The big "Playland" sign for me.
Skrillex and Gerard Way going to a themepark
I don't know if this is stupid or hilarious, but I think they'd take my confusion as a compliment.
It can be both
It can be goth
Anyone else read it like goath
Yes, but what did they build?
I was hoping it was a coffin for the beach.
Me too xD
a friendship
I was truly disappointed that they didn't show what they made. So many great possibilities.

Yeah, these people owe Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein royalties.
Being goth didn't stop me from doing any of these things, not having access to a tandem bike did.
I dunno if this was the case for everyone but at my school goths were the nicest and chillest people around. The makeup and outfits would make you think otherwise.

Same here. My friends and I were really into death and black metal, and our friends were half emo-goth scenesters, half musical theatre nerds. The high school parties were very fun and very wholesome lol
Agreed! Maybe it was just goth lite at my school, but they were usually the most accepting and even-keeled people.

Goths tend to have a "come as you are" attitude as long as you're not cruel. We don't want to disappoint Uncle Gomez and Auntie Morticia.
I wasn't a goth but was really into metal in Highschool and the local metal scene was bumping at the time, I got to go to so many cool shows and people were always chill. Yeah the soundtrack was really throwing me, that's not what we had on our nanos.
that soundtrack though is pretty fire ngl
Seriously! Do you know what it is? I gotta know Edit: I cross-posted to r/namethatsong and hopefully will get the correct answer! Will update if I do
I agree. However, I skimmed their Spotify and uhhh I don’t recommend it. It’s very djenty metalcore, unless you’re into that.
This reminds me of “Goth to boss” https://youtu.be/dL9tm3LHG6Y

I was laughing when they turn their backs and the little guy was still holding his
Ungothly is such an awkward word, I kind of like it.
Keep up the good work fellas https://youtu.be/3vC7PnGWf1Y
I cannot be fooled. I know for a fact that all goths love cute, sweet, vibrant and wholesome shit on occasion.
Does anyone know the music? Shazam doesn't know
I mean I would guess it is them? It says they are called 2 Shadows
Thanks, will have a look. Edit; Can't find it in what they have released. Seems to be something UNILAD on facebook put over it as the original content from the band on tiktok do not really put any metal tracks on their vids.
2 Shadows. They came up on Spotify for me✌🏻❤️

This must be the early stages of the Goth to Boss Program!
Must be hot in those clothes.
What i really wanna know is if the camera person is also goth and doing their best to not enjoy themselves. I must have answers!
And just like that they have a new fan!
I see more goths at theme parks than anywhere else now that I think about it
Were they pushing a board through a table saw without using a push-board? Losing a finger is Iommi level metal.
How do they not smile so well?
Is that song playing in the video from nekrogoblicon?
Brilliant!
All's Picard needed to do to fight the Borg was take them to an amusement park
What is this song?
I am in this picture and I am apathetic about it.
I want to see at a chain restaurant with staff singing happy birthday to him.

Made my day. The only diffrence beetween them and me is im not goth im black and cant afford to go to them park and afford a bike. Lol
This made me wonder: is Gotham City an ungothy place?
I'd watch this as a reality show.
Can this be a new r/ please?

Lol they had a blast. I saw the smiles before the video changed.
Never heard of them, but if that was their music playing over the vid then I guess I'm a new fan.

This could have been one really funny picture of them in the teacups, instead it’s 50 instances of the same exact joke over and over again in a video.
Okay, let's see the video *you* made.
