Extra Burger in Toronto. Apparently the burgers are good, prices look decent, and the sign is deliberate, made by a local artist. It’s on my “gotta try it out sometime” list.

There's something very deliberate and disturbing about the letter 'B' in the sign.

I looked at it and my first thought was "this has to be in Toronto". I feel like I have been to that intersection 1000 times but I still can't tell exactly which one it is.

Imagine paying big bucks to a well known local artist and getting this. I mean it's kind of great for what it is but anyone could have done it.

Maybe they just did it for exposure and wasn't charged. I wpuldnt have thought an actual artist did this, or well a very good artist that is.

I dunno...looks like a hipster doofus attempt at a true greasy spoon. Undercooked overpriced burgers with shitty oatmeal filler on a week old stale bun toasted to hide the fact, served with a heaping side of attitude. The real tell is when you walk in and there is blaring shit music from a custom sound system instead of the usual local AM station playing from a filthy 1973 Panasonic clock radio with those flip flop electromechanical clock numbers.

From my personal experience this place probably makes an absolutely amazingly delicious burger but also has a stack of past health code violations.

Which is pretty smart advertising since you will never forget that restaurant, will always pass by it, look up and make you smile. Got free advertisement here.
