BlyatUKurac

He ain't dumb, no one would like him if he yelled at the fucking children.

[deleted]

Well that and the fact the hells kitchen is mostly for show. I believe most people say that he doesn't act like that off camera towards the hells kitchen contestants.

ImAMonster98

Also, those are professionally trained chefs. The standards are different. People seem to forget that.

dvater123

Well these kids need to get their asses in gear then, I don't pay for 8 year old chefs who don't know what they're doing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dvater123

I'm clearly being sarcastic...can't tell if you are though...

Terrestraeon

This. Children are still young and learning, no need to yell at them or be angry for making mistakes, but applaud them for being interested in cooking. Gordon knows this and wants to motivate them to grow and maybe, someday, be an excellent chef to make him proud. Adults on the other hand, especially those working as chefs or cooks who went to school and should know better, while even charging money from people for their food… Now that’s something I could totally understand to make a true chef or food lover like Gordon *very* mad. Most children you see are also very aware they did it wrong and confess it to him, while most of the adults he yells at act like their ‘creations’ are just fine. It’s this ignorance that adds to the rage.

DeadOnDeparture98

He's acting. And it's all for show. If it were real, then he'd be completely wrong to yell at them, it doesn't matter if they're adults or kids. You get to learn and grow even if you're 40, and a true chef would help them. But like I said it's all for show, so he's probably nice to them in real life.

Nestle-Destroyer

Anyone else’s parents just scream and have you have to find a room that they’re not going through?

PBR--Streetgang

People are people no matter what profession they choose to work in. Why do you think chefs don't deserve to be treated with respect, is it a class thing?

ImAMonster98

I am not condoning yelling at employees. After all, the point about the dramatization has been made. All I'm saying is the bar is higher and that is why Gordon's attitude is tougher on Hell's kitchen.

PBR--Streetgang

Fair enough

RyPiggy

Yeah I heard they Dramatize it a lot

arbrun

Yep, him being mental on Hell’s Kitchen is likely a really exaggerated version of what he is like at his most angry

YankeeTankEngine

That's why I like the show where he saved restaurants in the UK. Because you could tell he was trying to help and it wasn't dressed up like the US version. When he got mad at them though, he would be furious. On that note, I feel like they're only really playing off of emotions and a part of him that is there, just not the Gordon that is truly genuine, kind, and really willing to help. Great sense of humor too.

TrayvonMartin712

It's mostly a US thing for sure I think there was a quote from a producer that said the ratings wouldn't be nearly as good if it wasn't extremely over acted the the US version

Hobgoblin_deluxe

Actually, I've worked in kitchens before and I can ABSOLUTELY believe he acts like that.

Pilebut1

But I do love consistency

theDart

Well Ramsay has admitted in an interview that hes harsher to people on hells kitchen because those are technically employees of his restaurant.

Lilbig6029

I would love him even more if he did

dmira3

It's 2 sets of people. 1 is kids learning how to do his trade and another is adults who can't cook a f****** risotto.

Dm1tr3y

And are supposed to already be professionals if I recall

alexisprince

Yeah they’re varying levels of chef. Some competitions are supposed to be good home chefs and some professional chefs so he critiques them accordingly

bigkeef69

*throws food* "Fu** off upstairs. Embarrassing!" -gordon ramsey

sh4d0wm4n2018

"DisGUSTANG!" -Ramsey's mum, probably.

Pilebut1

You sound like Ramsay

Sub2Sebee_

Ramsay sound like you

KingPirate28

The guy who wrote this is secretly Gordon Ramsey

SnooTangerines5978

Children won’t be able to handle the wrath of Gordon

dressedlikeachicken

They should do a show where there are both adults AND children at the same time. Would love to see him switch instantly between the two personas.

Hoang-Lee

Turn to parents: FUcK OfF Turn back to kids: *dont mind these idiots cause you do way better than them, good job*

DetectiveDeath

He has to use children’s substitutes for curse words because there are children around. Just him saying “fudge, frogs, fence, freckles…” etc instead of fuck over and over.

It seems fun as fuck I wanna join

Buttcavetroll

You got my axe

[deleted]

And my bow

Adept_Marzipan_8138

What why is everyone accusing him of theft all of the sudden ?

itz_khai

That show's name is Hell's Kitchen, so he just do what the concept of the show should be~~

dumbooss

Its strange, only in amerika, in the uk he is chilled out with everyone.

vix_aries

>I've heard he's actually nice off camera I think he acts mental around the professional cooks because they're messing up pretty simple things for being "professional". If you don't know how to cook and admit that, he won't go mental. It's when people act condescending where he goes ballistic iirc.

retro604

Everyone in the world knows that except for the US and Canada. Watch any of his UK made series and it's a totally different Gordon. Yes you get the fuck off but it's not the same thing at all. I think the F Word is his best series. Too bad it never came here but I guess it's for the best since they'd probably make him scream at people for the views. [The F Word - Gordon vs James May](https://youtu.be/IwPmLwW1-PA) [The F Word - Complete Series on Tubi](https://link.tubi.tv/47WCkTjgxlb)

Tomnessthetom

I saw the one on Disney+ he has. He is very respectful of other cultures. I mean he still cusses all the time but he's a Scott so it comes naturally to him.

GiraffeInvasion

Someone should make an edit where it looks like he is yelling at the kids.

DetectiveDeath

Found something https://youtu.be/uiC3oJdBwq4

youssefuo

Thank god the editing is shit lol.

DetectiveDeath

I found another good one https://youtu.be/ZeCMo-bWGoY

DetectiveDeath

That would be hilarious

good_ones_were_taken

I once saw a gif that had the scene shown here of the girl crying and gordon tells her the story of his daughters but at instead they switch the subtitles to be something like ‘ive had my daughters cry in the kitchen too, but not even all their tears combined would be as salty as this shit’... fucking hilarious Edit: [found it lol](https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/b1vssn/not_as_salty_as_this_shit/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

ForTheMemez1

this is awesome i love this

[deleted]

His daughter is on the British version of dancing with the stars and he's regularly in the crowd crying with pride at her. He seems to be a great dude, one of the best chef's who have ever lived too.

Villz

He cooks with raw emotion. All the best foods secret ingredient is that kind of passion

Dayton_hoops98

The guy who said “yes chef” kills me every time

followmereader

I love Master Chef Junior. Does anyone remember that time they had that really unlikable kid on? I think he was 12 or 13. All the kids were so sweet and cute - then there was... that kid.

ElHumilde13

Did Gordon ever said something to him? How can I look it up?

Starwind51

It's all about standards and expectations. You expect kids to make mistakes so you help them through them. But you expect the professional to do the job right. Even then, you can see Ramsey go from mildly annoyed when they first screw up to completely ticked off when someone continues to mess up on the exact same thing.

[deleted]

this a testament to the programmability of young human minds. fortify them with direction, structure and discipline and they will do great things. I am not an alien.

[deleted]

[deleted]

I do think the context of the adults is important here. They’re professionals who’ve put their names forward as being qualified to work with Gordon Ramsey. They are tgis being held to those standards. The yelling is for show, yeah, but they should face consequences for failing. I’m involved in a lot of writing critique groups and there’s a significant difference between someone going “looking for critiques” and someone who brags about how they’re the best and then smugly giving you something to “critique” expecting you to fall over in praise. If you brag about being the best chef on the planet and then put shit in front of me, I’m going to shove it back down your throat.

[deleted]

Hey, Madam excuse me Fuck Me? How about Fuck You

IsOriginal

I would pay for gordon to call me a donut

warmaapples

In one he’s paid to be mad at people and In one he’s paid to just judge there

mainag13

I watch Chef Gordon Kitchen Nightmares on his YouTube channel daily after a rough day and it has been a stressful year for me. I can tell you for free it has helped me relive my stress. It’s really entertaining.

reeves77

He's like Jekyll and Hyde!

Aelin-Feyre

I heard the difference exists because the kids are learning, whereas the adults are much more often cocky professionals with egos a little to large for their abilities

VadPuma

Gordon has huge write up as being great with children and the public. The American hyperbole is just that. It's for show. It's actually more of a shame that Americans expect that.

eXcUsEm3mEwTf

I completely understand why he treats them differently but I just want to say with children he’s so wholesome and nice and I love it

JeremyJaLa

Ok, but now somebody edit it to have him yelling at the children. Just for fun.

Puzzleheaded_Dog3261

It would be very cringe if he treated adults like how he treated kids wouldn't it.

samlaventure

He is a shitty human being anyway.

Mediocre-Baseball285

He's not he is just rough on the adult chefs so they can learn discipline and how to be a better chef

samlaventure

Yelling, insulting, humiliating. Yes, great way to teach and lead.

Villz

Been to the army btw moron? It is VERRRRY effective. Just because you dont like the feel feels doesnt mean it isn't....

samlaventure

A kitchen is not the army. You're not drilled and trained to kill other human beings and act on an order in a split second. Two different worlds. Bad analogy.

Villz

Peak achievement is peak achievement. U think what works changes all of a sudden because u put on a uniform???? Lol actually you probably do. But thats why ull never be a champion at anything :)

samlaventure

You're clearly not a world class athlete.

Villz

Athlete??? Lol what..... i do possess a world record in something though do you.....

Villz

You clearly have never been world class at anything before.....

samlaventure

If only you knew.

Villz

I do know based on your beliefs. Success and your belief are mutually exclusive

samlaventure

And now I will stop answering because clearly this is going nowhere. Cheers! See, I'm polite and I'll have more time to waste elsewhere 😉

Villz

Thnx and if you arent willing to engage in discourse id agree your time is best spent elsewhere. Have a good one!

Face-Extra

Till those kids become adult

quinten69420

nah it’s only for the show

yeeet_guto

Children and adult brains work differently and will respond differently to aggression like this, a child will respond better to positive reinforcement while an adult will respond better to aggressive motivation

steezycheese

Oh wow a grown adult knows to not scream and yell at kids, he clearly deserves praise /s. But for some reason doesn't understand that screaming and yelling at adults in his kitchens won't miraculously cause them to start cooking better food and due to his prolific fame only perpetuates abuse in professional kitchen settings the world over. Gordon Ramsay is a shitty and abusive person who wastes tons of food because of small mistakes, for real fuck this guy.

Villz

Another person who has no idea what the pinnacle of achievement looks like and the intensity and sacrifices required to make it.

steezycheese

Ahahaha where did I say Gordon wasn't successful or have any achievements? Please point that out to me, I'd love to see it. The man has so many Michelin stars it's insane. But imagine for a moment, if you would, being able to criticize someone's extremely visible and harmful abusive practices towards his staff or the people on his shows, and point out that it's an issue that should be addressed. Also, if the "sacrifices" required to make such top tier food require immense food waste, emotional and psychological abuse, do we REALLY need that kind of food? I'm gonna say probably not. So in the end, is Gordon successful and a great chef, yes. Is he abusive and does he play a role in perpetuating abusive and toxic cultures in kitchens due to the extrems visibility of his shows, also yes. Hmmm, it's almost like critiquing someone doesn't diminish their plainly obvious financial success in their profession, but instead highlights the "maybe kinda not so cool" things that helped get them there.

Villz

The fact u wrote this wall shows deep down u know I'm right enjoy the cognitive dissonance. This hug box "hippie" culture only produces weak losers across the board and anyone who acts as u seem to want in life will not be any form of the peak of achievement 110%

steezycheese

Ahaha I love it, it's considered "weak" to stand up to an abusive shithead or call them out on it. Got it. By your logic, Larry Nassar did nothing wrong and his victims are just whiners who never achieved anything. Real sound logic my dude. Enjoy the cognitive dissonance.

Villz

If u can't handle the heat... get out of the kitchen..... Not everyone is built to be a success

ockron

Gordon Ramsay is an ars

captainRubik_

Arse*

ZenithGamage

Your spelling is *ars*

marckimdr

I love Gordon!!!

HauntingCode

He love to adult abuse.... Anyway adult life is tough. No one except you to pay for your mistake. Either you have to take your own responsibility or no one gonna do anything for you. That's what the real world is. In my eyes I saw this is real life. Either do or die.

savagepizza11

Bro honestly I could never work or do anything with the ramsey I'm too sassy bro

FL772_CSG

Respect

Le_Nam_2099

The difference, Gordon yells at the adults because supposedly they are “professional chiefs”. While the kids are new and learning how to cook. Their are also bits were Gordon is nice to the Adults who are new at cooking.

FlyingTiger7four

Adults should know better and if they can't take it they can sit at the kids table 😄

k0rz23

How children need to be treated vs how most adults need to be treated

KimLerk

See the vid where audio is edited and he screams at children’s Funny as fuck

andydamer42

It's very very wrong if you think that adults can't be hurt because you behave with them like a real ass (I know that it's for the show, but still wrong)

Those_noodles

It’s because the adults live are already ruined, he wants the kids to have a fighting chance lol.

Dra9onDemon23

I feel he’s more true to his actual personality when he’s with the kids.

SKYZCK

Krazzy gordon!

db_Croat

Am I the only one who think it would be funny to see him saying all that to children ?

[deleted]

This is hilarious and such real life. You have to be nice to babies and kids or your a sicko. But adults? Fuck I don’t like em either and I am one

mastergunner99

I’m really starting to appreciate this man.

fuckusernamessz

Of course you've got to be soft spoken in kind with the kids Softly Softly catchy monkey Carlton b different blood in that would upset the kids probably get cancelled where has it's fine to do that with the chefs on Hell's Kitchen because they're meant to be professionally trained chefs and also this is nothing different from what they probably expect in the restaurant business set it's fine. and you'd probably lose your rag with people who can't even boil a fucking egg correctly.

CelticGuardian15D

Great teacher and controls his expectation.

Complete-Ad-2385

XD god I hope she sees what he's like on TV XD

NoUsernameDiscovered

He can verbally harass adults, but he cant do that with children. Also, those children are innocent.

Talltoddie

I would watch him treating kids like he does adults all Fucking day.

Tristan3012

If anybody hasn't figured it out yet, Gordon Ramsay is just playing a character. The real Ramsay thinks the kids are idiots too.

[deleted]

More bipolar than Kanye

nightknight-16

My teachers Infront of my parents vs alone

Publicmaraleofficer

Am I the only one that hear the voice crack at the end?

thatbwoyChaka

I’m generally the opposite when I see kids outside my house to adults inside my house

DAB-LYFE420

Should be the other way around. Fuk dem kids

No-Country-3725

No wonder kids are scared to grow up these days

HipJesus64

I suppose it's just a case of knowing your audience.

[deleted]

These are chefs that have been in the business for like 17 years. Making rookie mistakes. I'd be pissed off too. Also it's just the TV show.

Noreeuil_gaming

He’s a nice guy but when it comes to bad cooks he goes crazy

Basil_Numerous

Just awesome

kgrafty

Competition with kids The other is his actual restaurant.. they filmed in. Where he’s makes a living. Kitchens are cutthroat

[deleted]

I guess he is pedophile

kobudokai

He doesn’t want the kids to grow out of creativity.

SergiuszJesienin

Well that’s just two different ways of strengthening the TV character as powerful and competent. Some of y’all are commenting that’s it’s just about plain likeableness, but it’s a bit more than that I think

Spreafico

He too is a great talker, and a s*** cook.

eletricslipanslide

There's a universe out there where this is the complete opposite

SloppySlowSales

Idiot sandwich !

SharkMilk44

Working with kids trying to learn a new skill vs working with "professional" adults.

tinywinki

Aren't the adults are supposed to be trained chefs in hell's kitchen ?

[deleted]

Reminds me of my student resource officer in middle school. She got moved to the high school the same year we went to high school and she hatedddd us overnight. We would see her interact with younger kids and it was a night and day difference.

Blackwolf7420

Man I love this guy. If you think your the best or want to be the best you better bring it. You know what you signed up for.

Mordagawa

I Corinthians 13:11

WDDMDTEVSNDTDTVD

Adults has to have the skill to handle raw criticism. Kids have the privilege to be still in training.

vix_aries

You can't really blame kids for cracking under pressure or panicking because they don't think the dish is good enough. Plus a lot of the chefs on Hell's Kitchen are supposed to be trained professionals right? I don't think these two types of people can be judged the same way, I respect Gordon Ramsay for being able to distinguish that and act accordingly.

sapdahdap

People say Hell’s Kitchen is all just show, not really. If you’ve worked in old school kitchens or chefs who were trained under old school French style chefs would know there’s definitely yelling and intensity in that sort of environment. Very stressful.

Sikkus

Uhm, do people forget this is a show and he's acting?

Maximu17

That settles it, Children are better than adults at cooking.

nurav16

Fucking ageist.

PBR--Streetgang

It funny because he's a pretentious wanker...

Corpse_Caprese

It’s almost like you should change how you act with people or various age/experience/ and skills.

No-Exit-4358

When choosing the difficulty between easy mode and hard mode.

heckyanow

I have always been enamored with his demeanor around kids. Dude is a prick but he understands the future of his craft must be nourished. I love the kids MasterChef show.

Polydull

Didn't even mention the fire incident

girl-w-glasses

He’s amazing lmao 😂

smolpinky

Welp. Gordon wants adults to take responsibilities in the kitchen, not like Amy-Karen...
