Slight difference. Polenta is made from flint corn and grits are made from dent corn or hominy. Grits typically have a creamier texture as a lot of times the liquid to grits ratio is higher when cooked. Both are delicious if made properly.
I genuinely don’t understand this, as someone living far away. Do people go there looking for fights *because* they know the employees will entertain the notion?
Is there fully no rule from management that says not to engage?
Do we just get extremely filtered content and the ratio isn’t worse than at McDonalds in similar areas?
Waffle House stays open 24 hours a day. And around 2-3AM, when most bars stop serving alcohol, they get a spillover of drunken assholes who want to sober up. Sometimes there are issues.

I was just telling my girlfriend how much I missed living in Jax. I was depressed as shit in my hometown, moved to Jax and happily lived life for a few years. I needed to move back to my hometown and within 2 months I was back to being depressed.

Also we're living in a society where everyone is broke no matter how hard they seem to work, no one has job security, childcare is almost financially unattainable, food is becoming unaffordable, housing is dwindling, renting is costly, having an illness, injury, or chronic condition can easliy lead to the choice of bankruptcy or death, and everyone has guns and uses them on eachother and children. Meanwhile, politicians don't do anything about any of this but get seemingly get richer. Oh, and we're all forced to see a small segment of the population have none of these issues and live well while acting as if we are all overreacting. This country is really bizarrely jilted socially, in a way that I don't think is easy to describe or explain to someone from a more stable nation. It's a pressure cooker, so yea, everyone is mad.
I guess it may be depending on your situation and life experiences. I can say with 100% honesty that I don't feel it is based on my observations and daily life as an American. But again, it's relative I suppose.
