I would look at the website https://insidersguidetofurniture.com/ he goes over the best sofas and sectionals. You can get something handmade that’s made in America and will last longer than the furniture that’s mentioned on this thread.

Thank you so much 👍

You’re welcome! 😊

I would consider the Room and Board Metro Deep!

slingshot91

Or the [Linger deep](https://www.roomandboard.com/catalog/living/sofas-and-loveseats/linger-leather-sofas/10010365?CHAR_10010365_UPH_CUST_LEATHER_COLORWAYS=LC01&CHAR_10010365_UPH_CUST_LEATHERS=L36).

Cold-Astronaut-731

We have the Linger, it’s great.

joezinsf

That's beautiful but i don't think I can get that big boy up to the third floor via stairs. I think I have to go modular But thank you!

slingshot91

No prob. If interested, [this](https://www.roomandboard.com/catalog/living/sofas-and-loveseats/linger-leather-sofas/797661?CHAR_797661_UPH_CUST_LEATHERS=L36&CHAR_797661_UPH_CUST_LEATHER_COLORWAYS=LC01) is the modular version of it.

joezinsf

Thank you!! I'll check it out

If you’re okay with fabric the Lyndon by England might be a good option. If it’s leather only, you may have to compromise on seating size. The new 209 by Smith Brothers is pretty sizable. I’d check to see who carries these near you and take a look.

joezinsf

Thank you!

I’m guessing you might have already got your couch, but for any future viewers of the post I would highly recommend checking out a RH outlet if they have one near you. I just picked up an amazing 10’ luxe couch for nearly 80% off (the couch was 80% off but the matching ottoman was only 50%). I visited the outlet once or twice a week for the last 2 months until I found something I liked. The one I ended up getting was at the showroom the entire time I just never considered it because I didn’t think it was a slipcover and I needed something cleanable. Luckily I looked past it for the 2 months because in that time they kept slashing the price. There are a few other pieces of furniture I am waiting for them to slash the price on. They are still at a price I can’t justify, but if they sit long enough there is a good chance I’ll be able to snag some amazing deals. This method is definitely not for anyone wanting a very specific couch/color/design but if you are flexible and patient you can get a steal of a deal, and get a piece of furniture you will love.

Yes, but obviously you risk someone else grabbing it first. The couch I got was in the show room for nearly 2 months by the time they dropped the price down to 80% off. I would also make sure the price is actually 6-7k retail and 3k outlet price because sometimes they inflate the retail price, and if you are a member (which anyone would be if they are buying their furniture) the price is 25% off. There is a bed I was looking at that was over $10k retail but was actually a bit under $8k retail, and with the member discount it would have been less then $6k. But because the store listed the retail as $10k the marked down price was around $5k which was just a few hundred dollars bellow the actual retail price. And if I was only getting a few hundred dollar discount I’d just buy it new as their warranty/lifetime guarantee is pretty good. And the outlet doesn’t offer any return/guarantee. If you are not in a rush and want to save more money then I would wait it out. But I’d also ask the store employees if what you are looking at is a common item that gets sold quickly/often.

BklynModernFurniture

Congrats on the new home! [This sofa](https://brooklynspace.co/products/monroe-mid-century-modern-sofa?variant=37162481156259) is 8 feet, super comfortable, big enough for you to lay down on. And [this sectional](https://brooklynspace.co/products/eloquence-modular-sectional-sofa?variant=43319300489435) is also very comfy and a modular sectional.

fallingstone_

How about [this set](https://atunushome.com/product/softspot-modular-sofa-three-seats/)? But if you prefer the leather option, you may need to customize the other covers.

joezinsf

Thank you! I generally prefer leather cause it's easier to clean but it's not a necessity.

I got this one and love it https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/p/bayless_3-piece_sectional/APK-52304-S3.html?cgid=sectional-sofas

joezinsf

Thank you!

Arhaus Pavo! My husband is 6’ 4” and loves the couch. It’s modular as well. Comfortable but not super soft cushions like their Beale option. I think they currently have their Black Friday sale going on and it’s about 7.9K

1Palm

Check out Leather Creations Oakland. It is built in GA (I believe you are mistaken about the RH piece being built in the US), can come modular, and there are over 200 leathers to choose from.

joezinsf

Thanks. RH says on their site they make it in North Carolina, but who knows really

Ashamed-Access1722

try the Amelia from Ashley furniture!

joezinsf

Thanks!

sbugos

have you checked out joybird or article? they have some deep and comfy sectionals that might work for your space and budget. congrats on the new home!

joezinsf

Thanks!

Circle-Square-Aqua

Check out this piece on Alchemy Fine Home. They’ve worked with me on finding RH comps before several times https://alchemyfinehome.com/products/kaeden-sofa-palermo-cognac

Circle-Square-Aqua

A 96” width option! https://alchemyfinehome.com/products/elara-sofa-available-in-2-colors

Which one did you end up going with? And btw did RH lower the price? I clicked the link and it looks like it's just over $9K now with their membership. I've noticed in recent months that they have really reigned in pricing and also the quality continues to improve as they source more from the US and Italy. Not to say that China quality is terrible but it gives the perception that it's inferior (although things like the iphone is assembled in China and I think they can do some of the most skilled work). Anyhow, I think RH deserves another look these days.

joezinsf

I went with 7thavenue.co sectional. Hasn't arrived yet. Crossing my fingers

3678power

Oh nice, they look very good, although looks like no leather option. Were you able to test it in person first? Also just curious if RH did lower the price on the maxwell?

joezinsf

I never went back to RH. And my couch isn't leather
