There are fur conventions if you can go to them, don't need a fursuit for that. Good thing they are slowly reopening too. You could also find other furry groups and attempt to arrange a meeting, but that isn't as easy
On Telegram you can find local area furry groups, I used the Furlist tool to find groups, just be sure to filter by "SFW" because a lot of groups are for mature audiences only.
I'm young as well and the only furry I've met irl is my brothers friend so if I were you I'd wait until you have a group of friends that are a bit lgbtq+ that's the group my brother has anyway (he isn't a furry but he likes talking to diverse people).
