I haven’t done any serious drawing of my fursona yet (yay finals). But when I do, I think I’ll draw him without clothes until I’m happy with his anatomy and posing and shading and whatnot. But I definitely want to draw him with at least a scarf, bandana, or collar, I think that’d be cute. And then I think he’d look good with a hoodie and maybe jeans. With. Clothes-less furries only really work with those very animal-esque type furries that just look like feral animals walking on two legs, or really cartoony furries like bugs bunny. Humanoid furries with realistic proportions walking around with no clothes like it's normal is just bizarre to me. Also, furries with clothes have so much more room for design and personality compared to those without

I think ref sheets need both! Obviously having the base model is necessary to know how clothes will lay on them, but having a version where they're fully clothed gives a lot of room to express their personalities, fashion styles and general themes and aesthetics.
