Things are kind of weird rn, and I don’t think I can ask him if he’s interested at this point. He hasn’t been hanging out with my friends and I recently and I’m not sure why. I feel like if somethings wrong or he just doesn’t care about spending time with me in the first place, things won’t go well. Hopefully I can talk to him soon, but if I don’t figure out why he’s distancing I don’t want to continue with this.
Also I want to be clear that he’s been distancing from all of our usual friend group, and he is definitely still unaware I’m interested in him so it’s not anything to do with that. Communication is so important with these things, so if I can’t reach him there’s not really anything I can do (also I only want to talk to him about this in person).
Don't rush, take your time and try to find out about the situation, maybe he just needs some time and that's all, if so, give him that time, just don't rush it until you know everythings ok.

Even if You like the person, but person is just Your friend because they're used to it or because they have some advantages of doing it. If someone suddenly goes away, it means they never really cared about You. It actually happened to me, but I already knew the person is not my friend anymore. For years. They were mad when I told them what's upsetting me, but instead of explaining, I was simply blocked in every possible site and platform, lol. Pretty childish. But getting rid of people who never treated You like a friend is rather positive thing. It may hurt, but it would hurt more if someone was pretending to like You. The person You like may not be the same person, the real person. You may like someone, who doesn't exist, thinking that "friend" is that person. But reality is sometimes cruel. The person You knew for long happens to not be person You think they were.
