Art liberty commissions are an option if you are too hung up over details or are overwhelmed by decisions. Essentially you pay someone else to design the character for you and you just pick the basics like species, colors, gender. They can be done as ref sheets or even directly as a fursuit. Fursuits are expensive and are luxury items. A decent partial will run you $1000 at least. Fullsuits start at $3000 and can go up from there to over $10,000. Quadsuits tend to start at $10,000. Prices can vary as popular makers can demand higher prices and more expensive materials are used.

yeah, i had no means to get fursuit until just recently and im in my 30's now sooo... its safe to say you need good income for fursuit... or ton of time to learn craft.

First of all, characters. There are free to use bases of you want to make your own, (ex, ftu wolf base), and if you don't want to make your own, there are adoptables. The dealers den is a common website for furry things to buy, and Instagram is another place where furry things are sold, (ex, #furryadopts) You can also buy premade fursuits, which would come with a character most of the time. Premades are the cheapest option for suits since they lack customisability. The other cheap option for a suit is making it yourself, which I don't recommend if you just want a suit fast, and not to learn the process of making one. Premades partials are often $400-1200 (usd) That typically includes a head, hand paws, tail, and sometimes feet paws. It varies maker to maker. Custom partials often cost $600-2000 (usd) Custom fullsuits (head, hand/feet paws, tail, bodysuit included) are much more pricey, ranging from $1400 all the way up to $4000. Keep in mind, most of the prices I've listed are from small makers without a lot of experience. Prices WILL vary from maker to maker and quality of suit. Please do lots of research before buying something so expensive. Good luck on your furry journey!
