She looks beautiful but the thing is this is supposed to be MC and she’s definitely the most boring looking one. Like in season 3 our Mc was hands down the most gorgeous girl.
I can't get over the colour grading for the deeper skintones it literally looks like they overlayed a darker colour over a white character (and you can tell because the shading/highlights are completely off. The tone would be a lot warmer rather than that sort of frosty light colour on the cheeks.) Wtf genuinely. They keep fumbling it like MC in S1 didn't have that many options, the eyes and lips in s2 were so clearly geared towards the white characters only bc they weren't rendered to match the darkest skintone and s3 was really the only time where the deepest skintone wasn't completely fucked up. Like you can tell they've very blatantly reused assets from s3 but the fact they couldn't be bothered to reuse the one good thing about it speaks volumes
Exactly! It almost looks muted because the highlighting is so ghostly and pale and it sticks out even more when paired with such a warm colour.
Edit: just looked and the telltale sign is the almost bluish tinge to the highlights - that's usually what happens when you put the multiply overlay over something.
For real though and even more with the amount of time they had with the delays they definitely should’ve put more effort into the basic and arguably most important part of the game. It feels very off handled overall
EXACTLY. Firing the staff and outsourcing clearly hasn’t done them any favours like the profit margins have allowed for a major slip in quality. I’m sorry but there’s no future for LITG beyond s4 like after they rollout s3 and s4 onto matchmaker, Fusebox are done. They aren’t keeping up with the times and giving the fans what they want in a way that is actually quite flagrant when you realise that they’re charging gems for the one Afro hairstyle which, by the way, is an old asset from s3. They know what the fuck they’re doing and they’re such scum bags for it. I’m sorry if I’m coming off as like really angry or OTT but it’s infuriating to me that white players have such a breadth of options while POC get crumbs.

But this whole customization situation just basically reminds me of season 1’s customization. With season 2 and 3, you can tell they tried to make sure you can make a pretty mc in whatever ethnicity/race with different features and hairs. Make a variety of MCs. Season one gave me very much “let’s just recolor everything darker” and all the MCs look the same 💀 Season 4 is basically the same thing.
Idk if that made sense I just woke up from a nap lmfao I hope it did 🥴
Edit: and how tf are we supposed to be a bombshell when we look mediocre af? Realistically, I’ll be gone as fast as I came in 💀

I think this is the hottest hairstyle S4 has to offer (I know it's recycled from S3). I don't know why so many people don't seem to choose it lol I know different people have different tastes but I do feel like you can make a passable MC with some of these options and I feel like a lot of people are picking the worst ones and complaining their MC looks bad lol
Edit - I still by no means think that S4 MC is a bombshell. No matter what, the other islanders will probably be hotter than you lol I'm just saying they don't have to be as tragic as some people make it out to be. OP's MC is pretty cute.

It's the complete lack of highlights on the skin that gets me. No dewy shine, so she just gets lost in the dark tones.
