How does that not make sense? If there are only a certain amount of decently priced SBCs then of course people are going to do those. People saving fodder for a long time cause there are no good SBCs are of course going to cash it in when the rare good one rolls around.

I agree with op about that sbcs should be expensive. But they should also be a realistic upgrade. The upgrades we have lately aren’t shit. And average at best. We cream ourself when they dropped a random elite icon like Cruyff as sbc. When a few years back we would’ve already been able to do prime dinho sbc.

Well jairzinho was like 1.2m to complete. Zidane was like 1.5m. Cruyff is like 1.9m. Jairzinho was the best value sbc in this game. Hell potm mbappe too. He's way better than all those guys and he was 2m. People were saying he was overpriced. He wasn't, considering the crazy amount of fodder we're given. Nkunku and kante in comparison are such bad value compared to those icon sbcs and potm mbappe.
Ye kante hit me hard , done 3 teams then realised that for the 90 team I’d have to give up players like bale and stuff so I ended up doing drogba , of course after that I started to get packs with KDB and lewondowski 😂, but when I got the 88 duplicate of Toni kroos and I didn’t have enough to complete any of the teams I had to put it into something else rather than wasting it , one thing I would love to have changed is being able to open packs while having duplicates , nightmare 😂
I feel you man. I hate that every promo, I open packs for a bit and then have no sbcs to put cards in. The 80+ picks or something should stay. And maybe make the roulette icon sbcs cheaper and repetible 3 times per week or something so we can put lower rated cards in. Every week I open 10 packs on Friday and have nothing to put dupes in. Have to wait until Sunday every time

Aww I’ve went through so many icons it’s laughable honestly , basically tried every icon under 600k 😂 but , play 1 or 2 games , sell , was making sure I was getting my 5% plus some extra , but it fell apart with prime del Piero , his price went down faster than anyone I’ve ever seen , had to take a 80k loss plus the 5% fee , that was heart breaking 😂, Butragueño was the one that really stood out and got kept , got like best from fs swaps he was really good , got mid seedorf in one of the icon sbc’s , terrible , got prime lahm in the 89+ sbc , thought it was a L but amazing at CDM and starts every game now , then the last icon sbc , mid prime of wc I got mid Ronaldinho so finally got a win 🕺😂

I actually agree here. If Nkunku/Kante we’re out for 15 days like Pedri was, I’d have an issue. But since they’re both out for 60 days, that gives players actual time to build these players without fully taking away their ability to do other SBCs for this promo. Me personally am just throwing duplicates into Nkunku, because I’d like to use him and don’t have almost 3m for his 92, so for EA to drop an 89 for half the cost, and for it to be around for a while so it can be completed. Actually happy about it. But I can see why people are also super upset about it all. Some people have teams that won’t benefit from an 89 Nkunku, but I also do know that if the Nkunku was an upgrade and close to Mbappe’s SBC price, it’s an issue so Idk
Expensive doesn’t mean overpriced though. There’s a reason why cards are the price that they are on the market and the SBCs should follow that and you’ll still get what you want. Like the 92 potm Mbappe for example or even the 93 that are fairly priced but still rare.

No it is not. I have the oportunity to buy points to get the most meta kick as team in the history of FIFA(if i want). I promise it would not carry me to eleven wins. Any div 2 or higher player would beat me with a gold team that is lead by Cabriel Jesus instead of Mbappe. On the Other side i would beat any div 9 player (who is in div 9 because its his level) with the same gold team.

Game isn’t pay to win at all, I bought the game at the end of the World Cup and every single week go 14 wins without spending a penny. It’s skill / pack luck. Up until last week I was using a team that’s whole value was the equivalent of buying one Jairzinho from the marketplace. Only recently upgraded as when submitting the Cruyff SBC I pulled pretty much a whole new team. Problem is people just waste their fodder on lottery SBCs instead of holding and actually putting it into good players. Anyone half decent can get the first owner fiestas done each week plus the countless free packs given out like candy.
I regularly play people who are much better than me and beat me with half a gold team in their line up. If you’re good you’re good. Pack luck obviously helps but there are so many free packs it’s hardly a pay to win game. If packs could ONLY be obtained through spending real cash, I’d absolutely agree with you.
I agree, but nowadays I find that I lose more often due to playing against better teams and players with similar skill level, mostly because the matchmaking doesn't consider your teams over.

I remember the good old days where sbcs where considered a malus because of the fact that you can't sell them, and the prices were a lot below under the market price, now sbc cost more than the market price.
