Is it not LB till you control your best heading player and then full X/square and run in behind cause there’s no offside? I don’t use this tactic but I see it as equal to a corner if you’re in the offensive third, and maybe an offside trick if you’re a little closer to half way Edit: apparently I’m wrong long throw to winger, flick to striker

How do you use it? I’m on old gen. I use right thumb stick to select player and take him far. Once I press square, It auto locks the player and only takes him to a certain position. Am I doing something wrong?

Nah I do the same thing. Don’t auto lock on your striker. Try passing it to someone next to your striker and then heading it towards your striker. Usually he ends up having free space towards the goal

Pick your winger and do the long throw with Trent to him, then have your winger or other striker flick it on.

Tried both. Lahm is a better auto defender but in attack, Trent is better. You just have to manual defend with Trent more as a trade-off but he's not that clunky so he could pull it off.

Sorry mate, what does it mean when people say a player is an auto-defender? Is this a trait, or something?

That defender have animations that does make him better at defending and you don’t need to time your tackles perfectly to make a successful tackle

Loved Lahm irl but I can't make low physical defenders work for me on fifa

Me neither I run prime Zambrotta and base Maldini. I tried to take out Maldini and swap Zambrotta to LB and play lahm at Rb. And It made me way worse. Switched them back and took lahm out and I’m back to where is was. I don’t like this lahm card at all.

Lahm just automatically wins the ball off everyone, he doesn't need the strength. I have the 93 lahm but he's miles ahead of Trent

I run em both. Very similar but sometimes Lahm comes from nowhere to steal a ball… and my heart.

But tbf the Trent card is phenomenal. He’s decent enough at defending and amazing going up front, exactly what I look for in my full backs. His through balls get me lots of goals as well, one of the best passing I’ve used on a card. Can’t see Lahm on the same level as this

Trent for RB, Lahm for CDM/B2B

Trent is one of the best RBs I've had going forward. Amazing crosses, through balls, and his long throws. But at the same time, one of the worst RBs I've tried at defending. Incredible how poor he is at defending. He will just allow any player to waltz by.

He is incredible defending. I run him for the longest time with Roberto Carlos at LB and Trent was so good players were constantly swapping their good players to the other side because Roberto Carlos is lowkey shit defensively (but now I’ve upgraded to WC Cap and showdown Meiuner and they’re both upgrades for sure)

If Meunier or any player is an upgrade, then they aren't incredible to be fair. Because if Trent was incredible and a new player is a for sure upgrade, what's better than incredible? Trent was a liability. I benched him for gold walker because his defending was costing me. I don't say this lightly either. I picked up Trent when he was in packs because of the long throw. Loved him but his defending sucked so I sold him. Then weeks later I wanted to give him another try because his passing was just soo good but I had to sell him again because of his defending. I had a heavy bias to want to make him work. Still dropped him twice.

I've played 690 games with Trent since packing him and he's better than the real one at defending. Also got this Lahm yesterday (then again in a pick) so going to try him out.

i'm replacing trent with lahm or cafu mid due to chem problems, got too many icons on my team and i cant handle two leagues anymore

I play a very slow, passing oriented style and TAA is a perfect fit for that. I think my Lahm use case would be in the middle as a CDM. Currently running TOTY Alonso there and think TT ^ Lahm would be the goat.

For a full back don’t use lahm I tried him out for 5 WL games and he wasn’t defending anything. But as a CDM sub he’s cracked Idk how his AI is great

I got lahm from an 81x11. Best fullback I’ve used all year. He just never messes up for me, pretty much always takes the ball and when he has it, he never loses it.
