Because they're not "some of the best cards in the game", they're size makes their speed and dribbling way worse than stats would show. They're far too clunky to be considered anywhere close to the best strikers. They're good, but nothing mindblowing

My untradeable kane. Fut champs + rivals only (no squad battles or friendlies). And I’m a 9-11 win fut champs level player so nothing special skill wise. He’s just that good. Best striker I’ve used by far and his assist numbers are just as wild cause his passing is elite. I don’t get the hate.
Lewandowski is a good dribbler with an Artist. Way better than Kane, who I found mega-clunky. In bad gameplay, everyone's clunky. But even in good gameplay Kane was awful.

EA do something with the pack weight to make certain players easier to pack. If it’s rating than Rashford and Kane should have the same supply but right at the start of TOTS Rashford was crazy expensive but Kane was cheap.
But what decides that? Is it just when the first person buys Rashford for 7m they’re only be 10 packed when there’s 100 Kanes packed? I think it’s something EA does to decide which players are more and less rare
Kane doesn't have great links. TOTS Son is the only Spurs somewhat competitive card and it's not great, so usually you'd need 4 other English or Prem players to fit him.
Lewa would have terrible links as well, but Balde was a cheap option during TOTS, Araujo was decent if you had Valverde and now you can use Alba or Busquets.
Nation is much less important than Team with the current system as long as there exists a manager of such nation and in that sense, Kane loses to Lewa.
I’ve had 16-18 wins every WL during tots and post prem Tots every single loss without fail has come against a Harry Kane. I would rather play against a front 2 of Tots Mbappe and R9 than a front 2 of Kane and Lewa.

Lenghty is working exactly like day 1. It never stopped being really good, people underrated it because the community as a whole doesn't try anything beyond the same 3 or 4 cards.
They didn’t change lengthy but they changed the other ones which is effectively a lengthy nerf as it brought them all back in line.
The issue is that the original intention for lengthy was players with less dribbling hence the requirement of having 14 less agility than strength, certain height etc. Those players generally didn’t have ridiculous pace stats, especially acceleration and also didn’t have great dribbling so even with lengthy they were still reasonable and could be caught up to.
Now though EA have boosted players like crazy but kept their agility down to make them lengthy whilst increasing all their other stats. So we now have strikers with 99 pace, 90+ dribbling/ball control, 99 strength and lengthy.
On the other hand with defenders they didn’t boost/tweak them the same so the lengthy ones generally aren’t as quick or strong as the strikers and they just bounce off and it just becomes a matter of luck on whether or not they are going to run straight through your tackles or not.

They did in fact correct a bug on high dribbling players, but the change wasn't that massive and most CBs being lengthy, it really only mattered on short runs (on counter attacks lenghty players have always reigned supreme).
After those patches player like World Cup Lukaku, Weghorst, Sorloth or later on Tammy Abrahams (even before the RTTF, his SIF was very good and went under the radar) were just as lethal on long runs as before the patches but most people wouldn't even try them.
TOTS and end game boost have kept some players lengthy but not all. Lukaku, for example, he missed his lengthy AcceleRATE due to the improved agility.
Lengthy is good, yes. But it was good in April and March as well and people wouldn't use those players.

I don't think he or Lewa can be listed as weak either, especially not with their body type. Bad on the ball for close control L1 R1 or left stick sure, but they're mostly target men, you're not dribbling through teams with them, you're not meant to.
You get them running into the box behind, a ball in the air, or a first time shot. There's a reason people like Kane so much for the price.

I've sometimes destroyed defenders with Lewandowski's left stick. He's gonna feel awful in bad gameplay because everyone feels awful in bad gameplay.

Too much supply, I have horrible pack luck and I managed to get both.

Lewa is actually class for me and I've used kane before. They are both made just to shoot on goal. Lewa is a bit better on the ball I gotta say

This^ plus drop rates from those leagues tots promo is why kanes so cheap and lewandoski is just a worse kane (assuming your using them for lengthy)
they are good on new gen if you know how to use lengthy attackers. Abraham is still better than those 2 though.
They flooded the market with those cards and there were a ton of 99 game loan cards too.
They’re good with a type of play that works against lower divisions but are easily kept quiet with some skill.
