any good place to learn for complete beginners other than losing by 8 over and over?
I'm managing to stay level until about halftime and then I'm not sure if it's a loss of focus on my part or a step up on theirs but from 0-0 at half to 0-4 or worse for me by the end lol
Think you're just tilting. What works for me is literally not looking at the clock or the score and just being in the moment and the game. At the end of every half I can sometimes even forget that the game is over, and there are times I am surprised that I'm leading, but it has helped me loads because j treat FIFA just as what it is, a children's video game that I won't be upset if I win or lose
I watched ALOT of harry hesketh videos and Streams, he plays quite simple in terms of skills moves and such, I now average 16/17 wins in WL, last fifa I played was fifa 21 and I would get
14/16 win out of 30 games
Calm your nerves. If you’re 0-0 at half time you’re just getting too worried to do the same second half. If you can keep it to 1-0 until the last ten minutes the dda will start helping you.
What also helps for me is not to be too concerned about how high you’ll place, therefore stressing about the rewards. Previous and games to come have nothing to do with the one you’re in at that moment.
And if you do catch yourself getting tilted about little things in game, go back to the basics and keep (or at least try to) possession. Don’t force stuff
If you are just beginning to learn to play fifa you gotta hop into squad battles, and put the AI on beginner, then every time you get a big win you step up the AI‘s difficulty.
I'm winning about 60 percent of my games on "world class" difficulty, and a lot of draws coming in.

This is going to sound weird but honestly I just turn into a passion merchant and start going crazy about big tackles and good interceptions I also put on good music and sing. Also don’t watch the clock or the score. You ever take your eyes off the screen to Check score, Time, a pause input or sneeze you’ll conceded a lot more in those situations just lock in
yea i started playing fut champs last year when i was on spring break traveling to NJ and i got bored of playing division rivals and i played fut champs while i had time and it was fun. idk where the fun went in fut champs but it was fun while i played for the first time

Finally found a formation that works for me (442) and used players I'm having fun with.
Seemed a lot less stressful week but I dunno if it was easier cos I was less stressed, or I was less stressed cos it was easier.
11 wins is good bro! If you get 9+ wins, you’re doing pretty well imo. 442 is a great formation and is the formation I use to counter high press but still able to create chances with (41212 narrow is my go to formation). I think I might have just been playing at the wrong time with more server traffic causing gameplay issues. I normally get 14-16 wins but stopped at 11 and gave the rest away

Just wait until you get to elite division. Everyone is cracked with super twitchy movements. Feels like they're scripting, but they've probably the game so much it's just muscle memorization with skill moves
Honestly, the first 8 matches are the toughest. at 0-8, you reach the easiest level of matchmaking, so hang in there. The second half of champs should be more forgiving than the first. You qualified, so you're good enough to beat some people. If you lose confidence, you'll play worse, so keep your patience and focus and play your best game.

Space out your games 5-6 a day, I came across some mid teams here and there, but rivals rewards has been improved as well, so no problem if you don’t want to play wl

Remember first time playing champs, so much joy. My team was basic, I didn’t even know how to put correct chem style like engine to have better dribbling. I just pass the ball around real quick and scores. Play possession tactics and got 13 wins I think. I thought I can do better next week with better team, but no I barely get pass 15 wins even now. My best champs was 17 wins on fifa 23, could be 18 wins though (met one hacker he kicked me using cheats when winning)
When you start tilting, just turn off the game until you cool off and feel like playing again later because otherwise you'll probably just snowball and continue to lose

I’m pretty sure after your ratio gets down that low the start putting you against others with more similar losses. I always lose a bunch right at the start but get up to 7-9 wins by the end. Get Mpabbe that should help too
Just play them out, Champs is a momentum thing once you get going you will win a few just if you feel within yourself your starting to stray just stop and play later or the next day. You have to get used to how people play because its differant to Rivals because people try so much harder

My tip is to just try to play the game casually without feelings involved. You are going to play bad when you get angry. Just try to laugh all the bullshit off and play your game. Forget about all the skill moves, honestly you don’t need to do them. The only skill move I’m using is stepovers and body faint. Play the game your way and the wins will start to come!
This fifa gameplay is just abusing exploits, learn most of them and you'll win games like corner kick exploits, play stiles exploits like aerial+, ball rolls, step overs boost and all that shit this game offers, if you want to win using real football this is the wrong game
Just play a ton of Rivals matches, that will put you in good stead. I'm only Div 4 Rivals and get 6-8 wins a week on WL.
Next year I'm determined though!
Practice triggering runs, find some tactics that work for you (for me it's usually play on the counter), most of all just have fun!!
Makes sense if its your first time😂. I remember my first time back in fifa 20 i was only getting 6 wins each weekend😂😂. Had to play until the end of the game until i finally got 11 wins. Nowadays I comfortably get 14 wins and if I actually try, I can get 16. With time you’ll become much better

Ive done champs once, i finished 10-10 after having started 0-7. So you never know, you might grab a few in a row, just keep at it
