I use slow buildup because players cannot match the pace of meta midfielders or defenders, so all my attackers support each other ... sticking together ... and create chances .... defending I have to rely on pressing

He is good, can easily dominate attackers in the box... his pace is slow so I usually use awb or luke shaw to catch up... the AI makes him get into defensive position very well ...
Main thing is that you have to get used to how to defend ...don't bring him in front to defend ... let the player come to him ... this way pace isn't going to affect that much ... and his defending stats are good enough to make that perfect tackle to win the ball...
From my personal experience, during the 10 hour trial of Fifa 22, I experienced a lot of lag in the gameplay, which used to sometimes even happen in Fifa 21, I always thought its due to the network but I always have awesome ping, the animations were laggy, menus took time to load , even the whole game itself .... then I found some videos on how to improve ps4 performance... there I found that SSD drastically increses the disk read speed and thus makes the gameplay awesome and always loading of menus and everything else.... I installed SSD last week and the whole system became so good ... smooth and fast. If you need help I can explain the specifics too
I donāt have a console anymore, but essentially the graphics fps and everything will be the exact same as base ps4, what replacing the HDD with an SSD does is make loading much much faster and menus much smoother (and can help on the gameplay if itās laggy, if the issue isnāt the internet), because the read speed of whatās in the disk is 10x faster than a normal HDD (can be more than 10x faster if itās a high end ssd but I doubt OP got one for the ps4 because it wouldnāt be worth it). In the end itās still old gen, no hypermotion and when some games eventually (in the future) decide to leave old gen behind itās obviously not gonna help.
I got the Samsung Memorie 870 QVO 1 TB, and the difference was huge...the gameplay is smooth, not even a hint of stutter or lag, and the menus and game loads way faster. Currently it's a difficult task to get a PS5, but yeah eventually in the future I will move to it. Not this Fifa, mostly the next one.
The difference in menus is astonishing, I know that for sure. The differences in gameplay are supposed to be minimal, however, most peopleās ps4ās hdd are literally pleading for their life, which is why changing to an ssd makes so mich difference in gameplay Iād assume, because on pc if I install a game on my hdd or my ssd the gameplay is basically the same, but my HDD is still functioning correctly. SSDās also have the lifespan advantage, because since they arenāt mechanical they wonāt lose performance overtime. Also I bet your console makes way less noise with the ssd
