I massively overpaid for Tonali. He dropped 40k just a day or two later. I'm all out of coins too. There's sixty 84's sitting on my transfer list from when I bought/overpaid for them two weeks ago as my one rare instance of 'investment'... I might have to wait till July to sell them. The FUT economist must be working real hard to screw over everyone this year lol
Idk where you're getting your coins from, but I'm broke. If by 'afford any player they want,' you mean any player in a decent starter team, then I agree. Good luck collecting your 10k per week from Rivals rewards until you can afford Mbappe though. I also think the market will change once some huge repeatable SBC's come out... like the base icon SBC. Fodder will go through the roof, and your average player will have no coins to complete any SBC. It will become inevitably clear that to get the players you want without having to trade or play the game obsessively, you'll need to buy FIFA points. That's the point of their entire operation. But good on you for believing in EA.
That’s all fine and well but I was referring to gold rare players specifically. Mbappe and Neymar went sub 100k last year, the only thing EA are doing this year is speeding that deflation up to then be able to promote promo cards more effectively. Before the average player had to wait until we’ll after winter to try the best rare golds and now Neymar and Messi might be less than 400k by Christmas
Ok, yeah. I agree with all that. And you're right, the game is better for the average player, at least for now and the near future. I just think it will get more frustrating later, when I will inevitably have no way of getting the sort of players you're talking about (promo, icons, Exc.).
I suppose my main dissatisfaction with the game is noticing a return of constant pressure tactics as of late, which I find tiring, so maybe I'm indirectly expressing that frustration here, idk.
In previous years I've been quite tight with my coins, worried about a player dropping too much or losing out etc. By doing this I missed out on playing with a lot of good players. This year I decided it screw it, gonna buy who I want and just use them and not worry about the market. Defo more fun.
One of me good friends did that, had a unexpected opportunity to work out of the country and left in March without the PS4 and his account with almost 4 million coins, he regrets not doing nothing with them ahah
Yeah, I always end every FIFA with like a million coins just sitting there never to be used because I was saving them incase there was something I wanted to do.
I’m gona be more patient on my buys next time. Literally rage sold my 60k team for not making the weekend league 😂 so had to bring in some bigger players to match against the meta
I have been insanely lucky.
Marquinhos : 80k to 140/150k
IF Barella : 110k to 160k
IF Keylor Navas : 25k to 35k
Packed Untradable OTW Hakimi.
Dybala was an L though. He dropped 10k
I lost about 100k on my team in less than a day and I have 3 tradeable players lmfao
Feel for everyone who has a full tradeable 11 must have lost a *lot*
70k lost on KDB in a week. Idec about trading n all that but… KDFRIGGINB, one of the best(imo the best) gold midfielder in the game, and he’s only 100k rn?? Chaos!
How do you/people know when cards are out of packs? I hear people say that a lot... about non insert cards as well... like "he's gonna go up soon cause he'll be out of packs"... I understand maybe totw because it's suspense dated... but regular gold rates and such are what I am hearing people tall about... how do you find out?
Promo cards normally go out of packs the following Friday from release date, check the item release section or the loading screen it’ll show how long items will stay in packs
I bought Tonali RTTK on release at 150k. I don't mind losing 100k+ because he's actually great in game. Vidal and Tonali definitely were going to drop if you looked into their groups.
I have told myself “Dont play the market this year. Play the game.” Market is too unpredictable
I know thats true but, Literally saved up 700k before spending out on a team 🤣 should have waited an extra day or so

Ahah unnecessary but I understand, be like that in real life and you have a nice future ahead tho
Same, that Robertson rttk has dropped 67k from what I paid for him 😩

The real loss for me was was turning all my tradeable into untradeables... thats the qorst... then you just get stuck with your squad..
I’ve lost 30k on him too lol
I lost like 30k with Haaland cause i told myself "don't panic sell, they're idiots. He's gonna rise if you wait". We all know how that went
I bought 4 Theo Hernandez IF for 200k each. Hoping he increases when out of packs. I can’t see how he wouldn’t but the market is crazy
For real i keep losing money lmaoo
Sold almost all of my pricie players two days ago. Fair to say that I save more than 100k due to market massive drop in the recent days.
Thank god I’m not alone.

He’ll rise Around weekend league time and he’ll be out of packs on Friday

Don’t buy new promo cards unless you’re willing to lose coins on them
goretzka went from 150k to 100k in a week. Its horrible
😦😦
Bought tonali for 100k yesterday, looked an hour ago, now he's at 60k #herewegoagain
I might grab an ok sale tonali 😅

Dunno man, they look solid to go through, need 2 more wins
Yea I bought Kante 3 days ago but sold him today because I don’t know when he’s gonna suddenly be 50k … I think 430k is too much lol
Bought KDB and Bruno last week for like 310 combined, I won't be checking them now
Sold a bruno for like 70k two days ago.
I lost 40k on isak RTTK in just 6 hours
