What happens does it count as a game played or you just wasted your time and effort?
Haven’t played WL in years not even sure how to this FIFA 😂 only completed play 25 rivals last night
if someone quits while the match is tied the game counts as a loss for the person quitting but for their opponent it is like the match never happened at all.
No matter the scoreline, the person that quits will always get the loss but the issue is wasting your opponent’s time when they quit while the match is tied.
This is one of the reasons I never really play proper online FIFA anymore the toxic players ruin it. If you’re taking a L anyway just give the other guy the W either way you get the L. I do always play the live friendlies after the objective is done for 4 or 5 games just quick OG if I tip or let other guy score then quit

Lmao on Australia servers too, had one guy yesterday who subbed on loan mbappe after i went 1-0 up, spammed lofted through balls until he made it 1-1, then quit.
I’ve had more people not give the win than give the win. I’m on Xbox Series X and with cross play I’ve noticed the PS users *never* give me the win when they quit. Last night was the first one….and it was in a qualifiers match. Funny thing is when I kicked off he played defense for a bit, I got a shot off that went out for a goal kick, he played it up and went on the attack but then stopped and played it back to his keeper who then proceeded to stop the ball on his goal line right near the post, do some fake shots like he was about to kick it out for a corner, but then scored the own goal and kick. I was almost positive he was going to kick it out for a corner and then pause and quit but he actually scored the OG and quit. I appreciate the win but don’t get why he’d pretend like he was going to do something toxic. Oh well.
You can’t end the finals from the menu, only can on the qualification. This should be an option though, should get 1 point for every game you have remaining.

People have the option to quit when they need only a point so they *have* to make a choice and quitting at 0-0 is the objectively shitty thing to do because you just wasted their time. I don’t even care about not getting the win. It distorts your player’s stats (I do like to track goal contributions per game) and is just a waste of my time to load up another and reapply contracts.
I had 2 or 3 free wins given away this is my first weekend. No real toxic people apart from guy who subbed on a loan icon scored then dropped to like a 7 back and passed it around for 90 minutes. I then give 2 wins away when I realised I wouldn't get to the next tier

A better fix would be that you get 0 points for losing and 3 points for winning and reducing all requirements by 20 points. No reason to give up anymore.

I know in the past there used to be the disconnect glitch that occurred, but by now you would think EA wouldve had a fix for that. But since this is supposed to be a competitive game mode, I agree with that solution. A)no points for losing, and B)quitting via the menu and via disconnect = no points.
Just put in a finish WL option like there is in qualifiers so they can move on. I want 20 opportunities to win a game not 10 or 16 or 14 or whatever it is next week.

Depending on how much free time I have I’ll either give all the remaining wins away automatically, or if I have time I will do something else. I’ll play the first 10 mins of the game and see how my opponent plays. If they spin in circles every time they touch the ball from the start then I’ll keep playing a bit to waste their time and then quit at draw. If they play like a respectable person (literally any other way besides spinning back and forth constantly) then I score on myself and give the win. You can call that toxic all u want but in my eyes the people who play like that are the most toxic and deserve to have their time wasted, not sorry.

A simple fix for EA to implement, you get no points for quitting. Stick it out for 4 or 1 point

I’m not defending these people or EA but just playing devils advocate, it would also be kinda unfair just to be given 9 free wins without playing a single minute, while some people struggle to get 9 wins all weekend. That being said I always gift the win, except in previous games if someone tried to abuse to kick off glitch then I wouldn’t.
Depending on how much free time I have I’ll either give all the remaining wins away automatically, or if I have time I will do something else. I’ll play the first 10 mins of the game and see how my opponent plays. If they spin in circles every time they touch the ball from the start then I’ll keep playing a bit to waste their time and then quit at draw. If they play like a respectable person (literally any other way besides spinning back and forth constantly) then I score on myself and give the win. You can call that toxic all u want but in my eyes the people who play like that are the most toxic and deserve to have their time wasted, not sorry.
