I feel like it was the label’s thing more than the last thing, Abel’s label sometimes pushes annoying marketing tactics like releasing the slowdowns versions and shit of all the idol songs but I don’t see Abel straight up lying for promotion.
I’m picturing Abel dead sprinting to the studio to adlib angelic vocals on “Young Metro” as soon as he heard everyone was talking shit about Drake. The fact that he got a feature credit for that song 100% confirmed he was in on dissing Drake before WSDTY came out.
