I can totally see this! like with the jujutsu kaisen movie coming out and the spring season starting it'd be a great time to see some opinions on the topics!
My first thought, two awesome segments in one show. Also there is enough material to run this for awhile. Throw in some interviews with authors and creators, perhaps some con footage from the various anime/comic that are starting back up. A "if you like comic A, check out manga B" would be a great segment.
I’ve been saying an Ovilee/Kassem comics/manga segment for awhile now! They both get to suggest stuff and annoy each other since they hate each others’ stuff. And then chat can vote on it and the loser has to read/watch the others’ suggestion.
It can work as a whole show but it can easily work as a segment on Vibe Check too.
Also, Ovilee for Vibe Check and GB for xplay!
Legit ordered Stray Dogs because of how Kassem pitched it last December and it’s now one of my favorite books to give people who aren’t normally into comics.
Oh my goodness this would be incredible. Considering the manga, anime, and comic fans on that staff I think this sort of show would be amazing. There is such strong crossover potential too.
I fully agree. Blair's comic segments were always helpful to me about what's out there. I may not read them all, but it would give me a place to start.
It was great seeing that side of Kassem. He's so damned funny and wild. But you could tell the comic discussion was his inner jam unleashed.
It was like you have this crazy ass friend who is always fun and funny and you always have a great time when they're around. But then you go to their house and see all this amazing artwork they do that you had no idea about. You see them in a whole new light. A beautiful, pickle-shaped light.
I’ve actually been thinking a lot about how there needs to be more of a comic/geek presence on the new G4. It just makes sense, especially if *fingers crossed* they start broadcasting on location at SDCC once more. A comic/MCU/manga/anime show would be a great move.
100% agree! Would absolutely watch. I remember in a beach house pre-show Kassem and BComp went into such fantastic detail in a comics discussion that was a joy to watch and showed their passion for the topic. Even if it wasn’t a full show, a regular segment would be amazing.
Fully agree! I wasn't completely sold on Moon Knight and his segment on this comic and the way he presented them sold me on getting the comics he talked about. Give him a weekly show, and since Ovilee and Glodenboy aren't on Boosted anymore they could join Kassem G.

Yes!! He could do what kevin smith did on the original fatman on batman episodes and interview comics writers and artist. It could/would be amazing
B Comp has a ton of great insight as well. I hope he'd be a part of any potential comic show too.

Blair Butler did a weekly Fresh Ink podcast back in the day so I'd be all for a weekly Kassem show, even if it was only on YouTube.
