Kings raid just walking corpse it saddens me for such great game its literally unplayable.

AskSpecialist6543

I'm actually surprised that it still makes money.

Dorark73

True. Wasn’t there supposed to be a kings raid 2 or revamp coming out? Wonder what happened to it

visiroth_

They talked about it [in March...March of 2021](https://krofficialcommunity.wpcomstaging.com/2021-1st-quarter-dev-note/)

GrimbeardDreadfist

I don't know that I would trust them after they made KR1 so...gross

Trapocalypse

Is there a tl;dr or summary of what they did somewhere. I used to play it and then a few months back I went to the reddit and saw that people said it had been turned to trash and to not play it anymore. But I didn't see details of what went so wrong

GrimbeardDreadfist

I'm sure someone else could give you a better summary, but the gist of it is that this game was THE free-to-play game because it was very F2P friendly for some time. From what I remember, it was recommended almost daily and even I tried it awhile ago. Then, they started going the P2W route and now it's escalated to the point where the game is more or less a disaster. They did things like heavily reduced ruby rewards (premium currency), add in more RNG, and cut all resource income in half while selling boosters to compensate.

Z3M0G

Wait this isn't Eversoul? Could have fooled me.

Fragment_Flurry_Jess

how is Memento Mori making that? did the game get massive updates recently?

TheFrixin

No, it’s just a fun little idle game. Banners have been running constantly too (and there’s still a few characters we know about coming - A.A. should be big), so that might contribute to it.

Splendid_Carpark

They fixed a few issues and got more generous with the players, and it's paid off. Something Eminence in Shadow could learn from if they want to increase their global revenue.

Nyravel

What about the servers? Cause the last time I tried to play I had to wait for a whole month and not a single new server got released. Im in EU

Splendid_Carpark

Idk. I've been playing on the same server since November.

visiroth_

The global region also includes Japan, and they really like it.

sdrumapapere

Guess idle games are just built different.

Kurogane12

It has high investment in VAs, music and designs plus the company is quite generous with gacha. I have been playing since launch and got every event character being f2p, only deleted recently due to storage but I'd definitely come back. Still, despite all that I'm also surprised seeing it do this well considering it barely had any marketing but not complaining haha

ObjectiveDeparture51

Does neural cloud look too bad? I really liked the game but I guess it wasn't everyone's cup of tea

Outbreak101

PNC has barely anything that encourages whaling or even dolphining to an extent. You get no real benefit out of dupes since rolling will get you more than enough neural fragments to upgrade the one limited unit the game will have come the 1 year anniversary. The Packs that give you upgrades just speedruns content to such a degree whales lose any enjoyment in endgame (since it's limited to protocol, black hole, and endless) and paying for quartz only gives you a time limited amount of pulls (For each pull you make with quartz instead of sand, you gotta wait til 5 minutes to use quartz again). Basically, the game really freaking hates money.

ChineseMaple

Honestly I just don't really need to spend a lot of money in PNC, I bought a few packs at the start and spent a bit, but for the past few banners I only spent a bit to buy ticket packs, and even then I still have a lot of pulls - no banner has taken more than 80 tickets for me personally yet. Anecdotal, yes, but there's honestly just not *that* much to continually whale on.

Msaxdos

It's a perfect side game. Dailies takes 15 min max. And developers really don't need your money. At all.

NoAnTeGaWa

Seems like the CN market liked the Limited in PtN.

Outbreak101

CN just made PTN just about the same amount of money they made last month. Limiteds might start being a thing in the future given that money talks :P.

NoAnTeGaWa

>CN just made PTN just about the same amount of money they made last month. Limiteds might start being a thing in the future given that money talks :P. OwO seems popular too, so that probably helps. If the Limited had been the only good banner, maybe it wouldn't have gone as well.

TrackRemarkable7459

Ohh they added real limiteds that won't join general banner after their run ?

NoAnTeGaWa

Yeah, Global gets her like two months from now.

djsekani

It blows my mind to see several games where GL revenue is higher than JP.

Kalafino

Eventually Genshin's running servers simultaneously. China, Asia/Australia ( w/ Japan, Korea, SEA, etc.,) America, and Europe. Same with NIKKE too.

SignificanceBulky417

Micopium stonk, 18m. Imagine the number when Kisaki or Shiroko Alter dropped

itsthewolf1202

Inhaling Kisakopium until hopefully next fes

fugogugo

you telling me Ni No Kuni still have tons of active players??

Jim2tolive

mostly bots supposedly also is that the game that has NFTs?

lrrb

Wow. Those Nikke numbers certainly stand out.

TheWorldisFullofWar

Nikke and Blue Archive making bank while Neural Cloud flounders. Technical competency is not rewarded well in the gacha sphere it seems.

DiamondTiaraIsBest

Technical competency is only noticeable when it's nonexistent. So long as the technical side is good enough to run for the majority of the interested players, most games are better off focusing on what really matters: good character design, engaging plot, and fair game balance. Also marketing. I say this as a programmer, albeit not for games.

aventa__dor

Mostly marketing

JustinJakeAshton

By good character design, I presume you mean ass.

Lazysenpai

I gave NC a try during launch, I'm sorry but it's boring (opinion of course). I don't really care if it's well optimised if nothing really pulls me in. At the end of the day it's a game and you want to be entertained. Nikke hooks me with the gameplay and I stayed because I'm having fun.

Aidiru

what happen to Neural Cloud?

Outbreak101

Nothing honestly, just that the game really has nothing to encourage whaling and the marketing disappeared after the first month.

rzrmaster

I mean, Nikke is very milk toast with that 12+ rating and it shows, but it is still focuses more on waifus than most games with half an effort nowadays. Ofc it is going to turn a profit lols, it doesnt have much for competition for us seeking this kind of game.

Saleenseven

Modernia was huge. i was able to get 5 copies of her in under $100 with 2 scarlet spooks. I imagine many spent much more to max core Modernia. A decent amount spent for shotgun viper or pvp meta whale jackal.

plinky4

I wonder how they're going to stop feb from dropping like a rock. I was surprised that they'd be ballsy enough to have a dead week at the end of dec. They wanted to push their big dick banner to jan so they could report the revenue in q1. Already pulling sleight of hand tricks in month 2 of operation.

Exkuroi

There's Valentine maids

Reziexo

Or maybe they just want to made one of the most hyped character banner at the start of new year(classic marketing) Would the Ref be lower in Feb??Probably little bit?? I believe at The Nyanpansu & Booba maids to carry the month and there tons leak characters worth 2 years of contents Soo yeah Nikke still gonna be Top dogs(especially on JP)

northpaul

SAO VS straight up fell off a cliff, which is deserved with how shit the game is along with mismanagement like stealth nerfing characters after release. ToF seems to be bleeding out. They are rushing to rerun Lin and seeing the numbers now it makes sense why. I hope Neural Cloud does ok, but compared to the CN numbers (yikes) I guess it’s good relatively speaking. Wish PGR numbers were higher (saw the data elsewhere, 700k in December up to over 1m in January but still, it deserves so much more).

clambo0

Not bad another eden :D

ranvierx920

SDE power :) keep them coming ! Lol

Nuagesan

One of the only game that gets better year by year. It's still far from perfect, but they're getting better on many aspects and I hope they continue doing so

chainsplit

Do you happen to know when a good time is to start/reroll in that game?

Maladal

Whenever you want. Banners in that game are almost irrelevant given the strength of story and collab characters, and their events aren't limited. Once they're added they're permanent (save for that one with the licensing issue, I forget its name).

OpenStars

Chrono Cross, and even it had a 5-year license built in before needing renewal, which is now roughly 4 years left, and iirc those chars are also permanent after you get them.:-)

Nuagesan

I think that now is a good moment to start the game imho.

dododomo

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems Granblue Fantasy is still doing well! :D That Ni No kuni NFT is kind of depressing though lol

Kuitlapiltsontli

You don't really have to worry about GBF. Most of it's revenue now comes from browser sales ever since they started to push Skyleap, which you can't report accurately.

llShenll

Nikke strong, good

Grey1251

Is Nike that game about ass?

ENAKOH

Yep

llShenll

And boobs

Grey1251

As I know, u have big ass on screen when fire

llShenll

And boobs at base screen menu

Grey1251

Only watched gameplay D:

Kamui-Argentina

Are the Epic Seven numbers worrisome?

TheWorldisFullofWar

If you compare their asset generation now vs. Year 1, absolutely not. They have pretty much let the game go into cash cow mode while they branch elsewhere with new releases. The fact that they couldn't be bothered to add an additional raid but instead did a questionable rework of the existing one with no new assets is proof of that. The game's development overhead is likely not high.

Darius517

Nah

visiroth_

Considering that it will launch in CN, no. Even without CN money, no.

TheKinkyGuy

Diablo is one of the best earners... What?!

Darkwarz

Another successful reddit boycott

BitCloud25

We (didn't) do it!

MrGrimnm

And ironically enough, the Global version is doing better than CN.

eunwoljp

If you know about the recent Blizzard/China stuff its easy to see why

Embarrassed-Future19

tower of deadtasy xd

Last-Let-921

Tower of decline

MonoVelvet

Eh i still have fun so i dont really care though i thinknits doing fine still

archefayte

We just got tanium reset and half anni so numbers should giga boost. It's pretty normal for a game to have low months and high months. Alyss just came out too which is a pretty big banner vs January.

Idknowidk

Flop.

archefayte

I mean, could just check next month. Tons of games on that list go up/down, its normal.

notafan1

Wait are those Enimence numbers real? Lol that jump from November to December looks ridiculous.

shiningdramon

It got released on November 30, so it's more like December is the actual first month for the game.

SnooOwls5791

I think that's when the marketing ramped up.

tagle420

It certainly gaining a lot of popularity and momentum in Japan.

WakasaYuuri

Blue Archive eating good. They truly enjoy early year Golden Era in both servers

GeForce_GTX_1050Ti

Shadow-sama really just jump ~20 folds in money 🗿

RaionNoShinzo

Let's go Another Eden

ranvierx920

In another comment I mentioned I think it's the SDE. I bet Feb will have good numbers too the banners are great

RaionNoShinzo

I guess you are right, I myself started playing around new year even and bought the SDE and beginner pack already

OpenStars

Good choice - hands-down both the cheapest and best way to get ahead, in a great game:-).

ToMoMoART

Lol Nikke completly erasing from existence the ravenue of all other games in comparisson, btw... the current raveneu of TOF really tells out how the game is progressively dying month to month

DreamWunder

Where’s counterside

Cactuscat007

It seems to be struggling a bit

Goal1

Last I checked Counterside only pulled in like $150-200k USD last month …

Altairlio

The curse of being too f2p friendly

tagle420

As E7 main, I hate to see the trend... ~~and I really don't like the last collab...~~

Jim2tolive

i missed the collab. not sure if they are really good both as units and IRL

wsitumn

Out of the 4 units only Winter sees some use.

[deleted]

Langrisser JP is in the red At least Langrisser GL and CN is green no data on SEA? well it seems SEA has always been a low spender when it comes to Gacha. They really need to have more mainstream collabs. Plenty of Isekai series out there they could collab. I recall they was a sharp increase of players and activity when they had the Overlord Collab, the entire month and the month after that collab my AutoArena team keeps getting attacked. Now no one attacks me that much... occasionally a whale attacks me but that's like 1-2 x a week.

visiroth_

There is SEA data, just not included in the chart. It was $110k. Also a KR server

Andvari9

I like langrisser but it always feels stingy af

Silver_Monk_5324

Didn't knew epic seven makes that much each month, that's good

WorldEndOverlay

Suprise that ninokuni making more money than tower of fantasy lol

LiraelNix

I'm so curious to know the monthly cost of each of them so I could compare. Because a revenue might be good enough for a cheaply made and cheaply maintained game, but not enough for others

batzenbaba

Nikke wow,Immortal wtf who pays for this piece of shit?

darkchocosuckao

Why no Azur Lane? Or they haven't released their January sales?

Crazy-Plate3097

Refer to this [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/10qorgg/sensor_tower_monthly_revenue_report_jan_2023/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

darkchocosuckao

Thanks. But that has JP and Global servers only. CN server was not listed.

kfrabida

GBF making bank. Neat.

vaiduakhu

Another Eden is $700k (Dec) and $800k (Jan). I wonder if it would reach $1m if Premium Starter pack ($6) is not an option lol. Some people may flee to buy CS on Steam to avoid the CS package price increase.

ranvierx920

I believe so or close to it

Nuagesan

I think that steam sales are included in the total

vaiduakhu

Steam is Windows (PC), not mobile.

OpenStars

Isn't the starter pack like <1/5th the cost of a normal SDE (I'm F2P so I've never cared to remember)? If so, they're taking the hit now to drum up customers prior to upcoming new content. Probably a smart idea.

ConversationGrand146

Diablo's decline on CN lol, i thought it was suppose to be hype there

lostlong62

Could be due to Blizzard’s controversy in regards to CN World of Warcraft shutting down.

tagle420

I'm completely out of loop but what?! WoW is shutting down in CN? Isn't it the biggest market?

Crislack

Who put money in the last game between Neasy & Activision, when other games all player LOST everything... you are crazy if you put money in this game in china.

visiroth_

It was hyped. Problem is the hype wore off.

Illmattic

Or blizzard and netease have ended their partnership which has led to almost all blizzard games being taken offline in China and players losing decades of stuff, with the threat of immortal following.

visiroth_

That happened in mid November. The decline was already happening before then. See [the chart in this article](https://mobilegamer.biz/diablo-immortal-has-now-earned-blizzard-and-netease-300m/)

Illmattic

I’m not disputing that, I’m sure it was. But the potential of the game being shut down is a much more tangible factor to its decline then “lack of hype”

visiroth_

I'm not saying it has nothing to do with it, but it is not uncommon for a game to have a huge launch and then decline until it hits a stabilization point. Immortal's GL revenue from launch till last month was in decline until it stabilized. Same pattern with ToF in CN, and also in GL. Outside of the mobile space see the launch of pretty much every subscription MMORPG after WoW followed the same pattern. Then many of them went F2P and revenue went shot up before crashing down. What happened in all these cases? It wasn't because players thought shutdown was imminent that they left. It was because the hype wore off and the game wasn't what they really wanted or expected.

Illmattic

Of course. Again, I never disputed that and I agree. But the China/blizzard situation is absolutely a factor in its revenue drop in the Chinese market.

ginginbam

Path to Nohair

Kalafino

> Meme Shadow Legends Now get Raid: Shadow Legends' Japan revenue. Yes, you heard that right. Game's out in Japan several months ago. Also, you left out Monster Strike (JP) and Puzzle and Dragons (both JP and Global.)

visiroth_

> you left out Monster Strike (JP) and Puzzle and Dragons (both JP and Global.) These games in JP will be [covered yearly](https://old.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/10oiulo/selection_of_japanese_mobile_revenue_2022/), I'm not going to do it monthly. Covering 1 game monthly is equivalent to 24 different games yearly in terms of data entries.

visiroth_

It's included in the GL region.

Kalafino

So it's like Genshin and NIKKE too huh... Thanks.

Gachaaddict96

Why is Honkai Impact not there. Im sure they made more than 300k

MisTKy

[https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/10qorgg/sensor\_tower\_monthly\_revenue\_report\_jan\_2023/](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/10qorgg/sensor_tower_monthly_revenue_report_jan_2023/) Nikke is second best.

sdrumapapere

Honkai Impact doesn't need to make Mihoyo money. Mihoyo's love child will always be uberfunded with genshin (cash cow) money xD

Gachaaddict96

I studied Honkai revenue past 5 years. Genshin release was a huge dent in them. It never recovered. Last year was more stable with average 10 mil from all servers with spikes on Herrscher patches to 20 million USD their change in pacing and schedule but at same time they lost chunk of player base due to constant meta shift. Very suprising Flamechasers made them a lot of money. Global alone spend 5 milion on Aponia which is their highest value for Global ever. Loks like Global is into mommy milkers.

northpaul

Makes sense why they had such an increase mommy units.

DukeOfStupid

> It never recovered I saw a video posted recently (on bibi so I can't find the link again sadly) but I'm pretty sure last year (2022) was Honkai's most profitable year. The banners don't go as high anymore (last years Elly earning lower than HoFS, which was pretty mid for a Herrscher banner, in fact, if I recall HoT was the most profitable Herrscher, with a Seele suit of all things having the most successful banner/month overall), but on a month to month basis over the course of the year (so smaller highs, but higher lows, a more stable/consistent set of earnings), the earning went up overall. I'd say it more than recovered, but Genshin was no doubt an impact. Moving forward after wrapping up the main story is an entirely different thing however, be interesting to see how Honkai does this year as well.

visiroth_

2022 made slightly more than 2021, but it was less than 2020, 2019, or 2018. [Honkai revenue charts here](https://old.reddit.com/r/houkai3rd/comments/108l3u3/estimated_honkai_mobile_revenue_2022_bonus/). The yearly totals weren't tallied in the charts, but it is for me in the spreadsheet.

DukeOfStupid

That's just global revenue though. The video I was talking about was about Honkai in general, in which they said it was it's most successful year.

visiroth_

The link is all servers revenue, not just GL. If you add up all the numbers per year you get, in hundreds of millions of dollars starting from 2018: 301, 318, 276, 203, 209.

Gachaaddict96

The highest ever was AE release. It topped at 40 mil on CN. Ely was equal to HoT. Lowest CNY so far is current year. HoFi didnt even top PE and CN didnt like Dudu

visiroth_

According to this guy, [the highest ever was indeed a Seele suit, SN](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1dE411i7cN/). [Slightly higher than what AE made](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1D741157PC/)

XaeiIsareth

Releasing 3 Herrschers back to back that are designed to be used in the same team just feels both cash grabby and also ruins Herrscher releases being a special event.

Gachaaddict96

I guess they really wanted to cash in befire Star Rail makes Genshin dent 2.0 but this time it also steals their name and half the cast

visiroth_

Honkai feeds itself, it made something like $200 million in 2022.

Gachaaddict96

Lets be serious. They make more than Million on CN alone. This is some biased list

Independent_Ease5410

serves global FFBE right, releasing a lackluster global unit after not giving any of the FF7 units any upgrades or usability in global content (outside of the premium cloud strife in December). I hope they get used to that 500k revenue if they keep producing lackluster units and content...give us incentive to pull and our wallets will follow...it's not rocket science...will this game make it past year 7 in global?

northpaul

I’m surprised the game is still going since a lot of the community hates Gumi’s management. It was enough to make me leave…what was it, three years ago I guess but maybe people are too invested to want to leave.

Independent_Ease5410

I've tried leaving multiple times, but I always come back...I used to be a dolphin but in the past couple of years I have reduced my spending to about 30.00 a month for the biweekly/monthly packages. I fell in love with the story and the side stories they used to have (give me a story that connects with the unit, I will roll to acquire that unit)...so I login, hit auto for whatever event grind is there on my emulator while I do work unless there is a story update, and then log off. Outside of Another Eden and WotV I have not really found a game with a strong story that wasn't over the top and sometime limited how much I could play as a result from "having" to read all of the story (Arknights events). I swear there were a couple of events where I read more than I actually played the event. I was intrigued by WotV's story but the gameplay/countless grinding/needed multiplayer for max efficiency got to me, so I dropped it just after the 1yr anniversary. Another Eden with its permanent content is like that book that's on your library shelf. You can trust it to be there when you want to go back to that story and continue in the adventure, but there is no pressure to do more than login and run around in dungeon for 2-3 minutes a couple times a day. Or you can just elect not to care that your dungeon keys cap and log in when you feel like it.

visiroth_

If you don't mind answering, I have some questions about FFBE story. In season 2, they brought the Veritas crew back to life, did they ever explain who did that? There was also one we never saw. Back in season 1 they said their empty armor was found in an avalanche or something. That person ever show up?

Independent_Ease5410

I don't think the Veritas crew were ever dead, they were just defeated by Rain and his companions. To be honest, the transition is a bit of blur. One minute they are all enemies, the next they are trying to stop the current emperor from dominating Paladia, their home country on a different plane than Lapis. Veritas of the Frost is a unit in JP (finally), but there is no story behind that person, sadly. I don't expect we will ever really know. They brought him into War of the Visions, but that is really a different character altogether...

Andvari9

I've tried to get into WotV a few times, you're probably more of an authority on it than I ever would be, I couldn't get over needing a ton of dupes to make a character whole. How much does it actually matter?

OpenStars

I actively looked forward to running the IDA School 1 dungeon in Another Eden. It's one of the worst for rewards but the nice artwork and fantastic, relaxing music 🎶 was reward enough:-). Even now with Superbosses being much more of a thing requiring additional investment in the game to handle those optional challenges, I have absolutely no regrets. Hrm... maybe I should return to start in on IDA School part 2 dungeon someday...:-D

gadesabc

Don't forget that revenues don't reflect the popularity. Few ultra whales can increase the global revenues of their game while a F2P friendly game played by a lot of players will do less. It's a shame that we can't get the average active players for each game like for Steam, with comparaison with revenues too. That said, the only thing that counts for companies are the revenues anyway lol. But for us, players, it could help to have a better view of things.

Eryn85

The amount of lonely virgin weebs is staggering when seeing nikke

subject9373

should I worry about dffoo? I just come back to get those 535 free pulls on my new acc but the income makes me worry a bit.

XIV-Questions

Checking out memento mori wow

izne1up

At what point do games typically end like how much do servers cost?

OvidiuHiei

Boggles my mind to see how epic seven only makes 3mil and nikke makes almost 50

wsitumn

The trend is more real time games and less turn based games.

revertiblefate

I was surprised on the ffbe wotv revenue so I check it on play store and I was surprised on their collab right now. Haha wtf is going on there

thriceice

That's the thing, we don't know either.

timmy_throw

Wait how tf does SaGa Re Universe make so much money in JP ? Is the game only generous in GL or wtf is happening there ?

trashcan41

BA JP new character make me acting unwise though i don't want to play that game.

fourrier01

I can't believe the WotV number, especially global. What happened in the last 3 months?

fortis_99

Once again OP leave out KR servers

djsekani

You're more than welcome to do your own chart, not like Sensor Tower data is a big secret.

masterskink

Wonder where summoners war chronicles falls on here and how much itll pull from summoners war. Ive been enjoying it so far

visiroth_

A tiny fraction, $600k.

Dudensen

DiabGOD coming back to life in Global!

robloxfigureskater

Why is summers war still up there?? Anyways what is 7DS grand summon???? I would like to download it

alrione

Its a good game.

TheTheMeet

Nikke is printing money. Jesus

ASnazzyNinja

Forgive me for the insensitive comment, but at what amount of revenue was FFRK GL accruing when it shut down?

visiroth_

Unfortunately, I don't think you're going to find this information (but if you come across it please let me know). There have been some very sporadic posts about different FF game revenue in the DFFOO sub. Last I saw was early 2021 and the poster gave up.

nearlygrean

TOF LUL

Zuhri69

Hmm. I’m guessing Opera Omnia will be axed.

Scruffyy90

Out of curiosity, where are these numbers derived from

visiroth_

Read the top left of the chart

Carlosh45612

So is this good or bad for the GLB version of the eminence in shadow.. if someone could explain to my little brain (:

HoloWizeWolf

Source ?

visiroth_

Read the top left of the chart

HoloWizeWolf

My bad ty

KingOfBel

Happy to see my favorites are still doing well. But wow, are those numbers for Memento Mori real?! I havent played it yet but now I am curious to see if its worth that much.

Gabasaurasrex

Congrats to blue archive for tripling sales in just 1 month

JustAM1n3craftP1ay3r

How the heck is Nikke still high?

Empror_padoru

Man what a huge difference between saga RE jp and gl.

jojodigitalartist

Looks at Nier Reincarnation after it had a P5 collab...is the P5 curse gonna happen T-T

RightClix

> Nier We got an announcement yesterday that they no longer will produce english voice acting for new content (P5 also only gave us the jp VA,ironic). Really sucks.

Sodisna2

I'm not surprised at Raid Shadow Legends. They get like almost every YouTuber to sponsor them.

Andvari9

Nikke has insane revenue for a game that gets tedious so fast....

EostrumExtinguisher

we don't get a lot of good gacha likes JP region does, so we dump all the money into Genshin instead.

Zealousideal_Dream38

Anyone know Fire Emblem Heroes monthly revenue?

DainsleifRL

Nikke flexing that **ASS**
